Weather: After an unnaturally long and difficult winter, spring has finally come again. Flowers are blooming in the fiels, the trees are green with new leaves, and perhaps most importantly, the prey has returned. The weather is still cool but quickly warming up, and sunny days alternate with light showers.

The Packs

After a long, cold winter plagued with unnatural occurences, the evil spirit finally revealed itself. It took control of those wolves who had drunk its poisoned water and pitted them against their untainted packmates in a vicious and devastating battle. Nevertheless, together with the guardian spirits of the packs, they were able to defeat the evil spirit and regain their fallen friends. But the landscape has been changed drastically, and the packs themselves have taken on new shapes.

Where do you fit?

Loners
A Loner is a wolf with no pack. If you choose to remain this way, you must accept that you will not be welcome in the pack lands except to request admission, nor will you be able to hunt in them. You are, however, expected to respect the alphas of the packs as well as their pack members, so be careful what you say or risk the consequences.

Kehme
The Strong
The former packs of the Da'Lith and the Erkeni combined to form the Kehme, a larger and stronger pack named after the Da'Lith alpha's brother and the Erkeni's first alpha. They are chiefly warriors and hunters, with great pride in their physical skills. Loners seeking entrance are first required to prove their fighting prowess.

Lairehl
The Compassionate
Composed of both the original Tyrehl members and the spiritual Lai'no, these wolves value kindness and gentleness. They are generally patient and understanding, and much prefer talking to fighting. They are the peacemakers, known to back down rather than fight unless backing down would bring harm to a packmate. Wolves who wish to join these ranks are rarely denied.

Calazehr
The Darkhearted
The combined Zehr and Caladur packs, now called the Calazehr, are a force to be reckoned with. Here reside spies and cold-hearted killers those who bear no burdens on their consciences and feel no love for others.

Veren
The Family
After losing their lands to the vicious Calazehr, the former Veren pack seeks refuge in the unclaimed lands. They remain together, a pack without a true home, merely seeking to survive. With relationships plenty thicker than blood and an alpha litter on the way, it is unlikely that they will accept newcomers into the fold.

Will history repeat itself?

Plot Updates

The evil spirit Angel has finally been defeated, with the help of two brave wolves who sacrificed themselves to the cause, Tristan and Zyattiath. Those wolves poisoned during the ordeal have returned to their original state, with only mild weakness that will quickly fade, leftover from the strange magic. But with each pack's ranks decimated, the disappearance of the spirits, and the lands in disarray, drastic changes were made. The Zehr and Caladur have combined, as have the Lai'no and the Tyrehl, and the Da'Lith and the Erkeni. The Veren have retreated to the neutral lands, their former territory taken by the newly powerful Calazehr.

Previous and current updates:

Five spirits, past members of past packs, have made their appearance in the lands. With their emergence into the realm of the living, new lands have also come forth. They have each chosen a pack to guide, but their motives are unclear. They have made it apparent that they will not reveal anything but their names. Why have they arrived now? Why have they chosen to guard the packs, and most importantly - from what?

Strangely, in the season they are most abundant, all forms of large prey have suddenly moved on. Only rabbits, mice and other small game are left, but they are well-hidden and rarely venture into the open. Even the wolves feel a strange sort of menace upon the breeze. What do the animals fear so greatly?

New, empty lands have been discovered, ripe for the taking. Who will claim them? They have been dubbed Caladur by the spirits, and reserved for those who are sly and cunning. Surely more than one wolf wants to be the alpha of this bountiful new terra.

As summer wore on and temperatures rose, the land started to turn from a luscious green to a dull yellow. Grasses begged for rain to come and the earth crumbled to dust in the heat. All this was also happening in the Eldor Plains. Once such a beautiful green expanse, it now lay parched and unhappy, and even the river looked sad and at a loss. No rain had fallen for weeks, and a feeling hung in the air that not all was as it should be.

Then one day, just past noon, it started. At first only a wisp, a tiny hint of smoke barely visible, curled into the dead air. But soon, heat waves shimmered above the ground as it heated up and, suddenly, the orange and red flicker of a flame appeared…and grew. Eating up the dry grass like a hungry animal, it came, edging it’s way closer and closer to the parched forest. And as it ate, it grew, and as it grew, it became angrier and angrier. It wanted that forest.

The fire has reached the Ceon Meadow, and is proceeding quickly towards the Orden Forest.

The fire is in the Orden Forest. it has split, and is stretching towards both the Veren and Tyrehl packs. It carefully avoids the home of the spirits in a very un-fire-like way.

Having taken its fill of the Orden Forest, the fire is now in the process of burning through the woods of the Tyrehl and Veren packs.

The fire moved quickly through the Ton'osy Forest and is now taking on the Erkeni lands.

The fire had passed through the Veren and Erkeni lands, heading towards the Zehr forest from two directions. But strangely, the fire stopped. It continued to burn at the Zehr borders, but it remained there, as if it didn't want to go on.

And then it began to snow. Nature's power combined with that of the spirits has extinguished the furious inferno and cleansed the smoke-filled air, but nothing except time can repair the damage done to the lands.

With the fire gone, the prey has also returned, and food is plentiful once more.

A slightly dangerous, mischief-making spirit is on the loose, and it will choose unsuspected wolves to tease and taunt. The packs have been warned; it is not safe to be alone or in small groups. The spirit will target any wolf that is unprotected. So far, nothing truly bad has resulted from these 'attacks', but who can tell how long that will last?

The spirit of Mischief has been killed by Kehme, former alpha of the Erkeni pack. But in the struggle, his own life was taken, and Kirin has been left in control of the pack. The spirits are weakening as they try to contain the demon; who knows how much longer they will last?

The packs are being informed of the impending doom; some take it seriously, while others brush it off as nonsense. Who will be proven correct?

The wolf Tristan, a member of the Erkeni, has returned from a meeting with the spirits, but he is not the same. The pack has noticed his change; he is now rude and arrogant, whereas once he was gentle and humble. And now wolves fall prey to strange symptoms, suggestions of a disease that follows no pattern and favors no wolf. Pack members and loners alike are affected by its spread. The peace of the lands has been broken; suspicion and fear abound, fed by the sudden actions of their unknown enemy. But their time is running out; before long, they will all have to choose sides and face their loved ones in battle.

The prolonged absence of the previous Caladur alpha has led to a shift in power, resulting in Nyx seizing control. Lakota and Vyess, the previous Tyrehl alphas, have moved to the neutral territories in search of solitude. They have left Celestia as caretaker of their lands, though she does not wish to be alpha of the pack.
