Plot Updates

The evil spirit Angel has finally been defeated, with the help of two brave wolves who sacrificed themselves to the cause, Tristan and Zyattiath. Those wolves poisoned during the ordeal have returned to their original state, with only mild weakness that will quickly fade, leftover from the strange magic. But with each pack's ranks decimated, the disappearance of the spirits, and the lands in disarray, drastic changes were made. The Zehr and Caladur have combined, as have the Lai'no and the Tyrehl, and the Da'Lith and the Erkeni. The Veren have retreated to the neutral lands, their former territory taken by the newly powerful Calazehr.

The spirits once played a vital role in the future of the wolves here, though that time is past. After the defeat of Angel, the evil spirit that threatened to slaughter every living thing in the lands, and the merging of the packs, several of the spirits faded away, their aid no longer needed. However, a few did remain to guide the new packs.
Orilise: (ore-ih-leez) As the gentle advisor to the Kehme pack (formerly the guide of the Erkeni), she is to be feared and loved at the same time. She is one of the youngest of all spirits, with only a year of life, but also one of the wisest. Her untimely death was brought about by an abusive alpha in one of the past packs found here. The cruel male had her beaten to death when she failed to bring back a large enough kill. When she was alive, she was an excellent hunter, and still retains her cunning. When Orilise speaks, rare as that may be, it is generally a good idea to listen. She usually prefers to watch, rather than interfere, and is rarely noticed while lurking in the shadows. Her advice is almost always good, and though she remains solemn and calm most of the time, her anger is something to be feared. Only a few things set off this furious wrath - namely, abuse of another wolf, and pointless fighting. She keeps the mind frame of talking a problem out - however rudely - rather than trying to kill each other.
Eera: (ear-ah) This kind-hearted spirit died in the same way as she had always lived: through love. She now guides the Lairehl wolves, which are very much the same as the wolves she was once alphess of. She was always smiling and happy. She even refused to believe that the wolves belonging to the evil pack were born that way. Although she admired those wolves who would fight for their beliefs, she only saw bloodshed and anger in war, may it have been between two packs or between two individuals. Her calm voice had always managed to be heard without her fangs or claws having to be shown. Her first litter was her pride and joy, but when all but one died a day after they had been born, her heart broke and was never properly repaired. When her only son was just past one year, the pack went hunting together. But the pup ran off, and Eera, frantic with fright, found him cowering over the vast figure of a bear. For the first time in her life, she became truly angry. How dare nature threaten another of her cubs when three had already been taken? Throwing herself at the bear to save her only cub was the last thing Eera ever did. She died that same day of her wounds and as she lay there, surrounded by her family, she knew that she should not have gotten angry, could have done it another way. This is why she has come back.
Zexqueviwax: (zecs-kiv-e-wax) Zexqueviwax was the last of his litter to be born. His name came because of the garbled name his mother screamed as he was born. She died later that night. His father never really cared or protected him, and the other pups, including his brothers, constantly picked on him and beat him up. They would call him ‘Wax’ while doing so, which became his nickname. He ran away when he became a year old, and eventually ended up in the Zehr under a previous alpha's rule. As a pathetic creature, the border patrol was about to kill him when he ‘snapped’, killing one of them. After joining them, he ceased to care. Hardly listening to orders, and never doing anything for the pack unless he had to, the alpha was constantly frustrated with him. ‘Wax’ was killed while he was patrolling the Zehr borders. He was four. Being the way he was, he liked doing such things alone. Three wolves from a nearby pack ganged up on him and he was slaughtered. He came back because he wanted to see those who had murdered him. However, he instead became the ‘guardian’ spirit of the Calazehr, because he figured it would be better than anything else the afterlife offered.
