The Weather

Weather: After an unnaturally long and difficult winter, spring has finally come again. Flowers are blooming in the fiels, the trees are green with new leaves, and perhaps most importantly, the prey has returned. The weather is still cool but quickly warming up, and sunny days alternate with light showers.
Breeding season: no
Birthing Season: yes

The Packs

After a long, cold winter plagued with unnatural occurences, the evil spirit finally revealed itself. It took control of those wolves who had drunk its poisoned water and pitted them against their untainted packmates in a vicious and devastating battle. Nevertheless, together with the guardian spirits of the packs, they were able to defeat the evil spirit and regain their fallen friends. But the landscape has been changed drastically, and the packs themselves have taken on new shapes.

Where do you fit?

Loners
A Loner is a wolf with no pack. If you choose to remain this way, you must accept that you will not be welcome in the pack lands except to request admission, nor will you be able to hunt in them. You are, however, expected to respect the alphas of the packs as well as their pack members, so be careful what you say or risk the consequences.

Kehme
The Strong
The former packs of the Da'Lith and the Erkeni combined to form the Kehme, a larger and stronger pack named after the Da'Lith alpha's brother and the Erkeni's first alpha. They are chiefly warriors and hunters, with great pride in their physical skills. Loners seeking entrance are first required to prove their fighting prowess.

Lairehl
The Compassionate
Composed of both the original Tyrehl members and the spiritual Lai'no, these wolves value kindness and gentleness. They are generally patient and understanding, and much prefer talking to fighting. They are the peacemakers, known to back down rather than fight unless backing down would bring harm to a packmate. Wolves who wish to join these ranks are rarely denied.

Calazehr
The Darkhearted
The combined Zehr and Caladur packs, now called the Calazehr, are a force to be reckoned with. Here reside spies and cold-hearted killers those who bear no burdens on their consciences and feel no love for others.

Veren
The Family
After losing their lands to the vicious Calazehr, the former Veren pack seeks refuge in the unclaimed lands. They remain together, a pack without a true home, merely seeking to survive. With relationships plenty thicker than blood and an alpha litter on the way, it is unlikely that they will accept newcomers into the fold.

Will history repeat itself?

Plot Updates

The evil spirit Angel has finally been defeated, with the help of two brave wolves who sacrificed themselves to the cause, Tristan and Zyattiath. Those wolves poisoned during the ordeal have returned to their original state, with only mild weakness that will quickly fade, leftover from the strange magic. But with each pack's ranks decimated, the disappearance of the spirits, and the lands in disarray, drastic changes were made. The Zehr and Caladur have combined, as have the Lai'no and the Tyrehl, and the Da'Lith and the Erkeni. The Veren have retreated to the neutral lands, their former territory taken by the newly powerful Calazehr.

There are only a few:

Make your user name is the name of your wolf, and only the name of your wolf (as in, no other symbols etc.) It would also be helpful if you could capitalize the first letter, so an admin does not have to. If your username is obviously not the name of your soon-to-be character (i.e.: horselover or sk8trgirl), you will be deleted.

IMPORTANT: You cannot change your account name on invisionfree sites. Therefore, if you join under the wrong name, an admin has to change it, and that can be tiresome. Please, just wait to make an account until after you've decided on a name.

One wolf per account.

Please keep your amount of wolves reasonable. Make sure you can keep them all active.

Keep your avatars, signatures and tables wolf themed.

Use proper grammer and punctuation; no shortcuts like u or r (unless in OOC).

Please use the past tense when posting.

Use bad language sparingly.

No godmoding (obviously; look in fight application for more information) or powerplaying.

Character bios must be accepted before you can roleplay. The password and first codeword is phoenix. Any IC posts made before your character is accepted will be deleted, no questions asked.

Wolf/dog hybrids are not allowed.

OOC posts are only allowed in the rp forums if they are related to the posts (there is an OOC area for a reason!).

You may be in no more three topics at one time. If you absolutely must be in a fourth, ask an admin for permission.

Both betas and alphas can accept new members, but only alphas can promote or demote those members.

Please include a picture of your wolf in your signature. If you are having trouble finding one you like, don't hesitate to ask for help. No bios will be accepted without a picture of the wolf in your signature. If you can't find a real (i.e. not drawn) picture that looks like your wolf, you probably need to change their description to something more realistic.

Posts should be at least twelve sentences (leaving posts can be shorter), and they should NEVER be one line. Ever. End of story.

Don't double post, ever. The only exception to this is in the Nudge Board. If you absolutely must add something to a topic where you were the last poster, simply copy your last post into notepad, edit your new post into that, delete the old post and post the new, combined version.

While there are some abnormal elements to this site, like the spirits, the wolves are meant to be absolutely normal. That means no magic, no weird eye or fur colors, etc. If you see anyone with an odd eye color, it's because they were accepted before this rule was made.

PLEASE follow the rules, there really aren't that many, so it shouldn't be hard!
Thanks and have fun!
