The Weather

Weather: After an unnaturally long and difficult winter, spring has finally come again. Flowers are blooming in the fiels, the trees are green with new leaves, and perhaps most importantly, the prey has returned. The weather is still cool but quickly warming up, and sunny days alternate with light showers.

The Packs

After a long, cold winter plagued with unnatural occurences, the evil spirit finally revealed itself. It took control of those wolves who had drunk its poisoned water and pitted them against their untainted packmates in a vicious and devastating battle. Nevertheless, together with the guardian spirits of the packs, they were able to defeat the evil spirit and regain their fallen friends. But the landscape has been changed drastically, and the packs themselves have taken on new shapes.

Where do you fit?

Loners
A Loner is a wolf with no pack. If you choose to remain this way, you must accept that you will not be welcome in the pack lands except to request admission, nor will you be able to hunt in them. You are, however, expected to respect the alphas of the packs as well as their pack members, so be careful what you say or risk the consequences.

Kehme
The Strong
The former packs of the Da'Lith and the Erkeni combined to form the Kehme, a larger and stronger pack named after the Da'Lith alpha's brother and the Erkeni's first alpha. They are chiefly warriors and hunters, with great pride in their physical skills. Loners seeking entrance are first required to prove their fighting prowess.

Lairehl
The Compassionate
Composed of both the original Tyrehl members and the spiritual Lai'no, these wolves value kindness and gentleness. They are generally patient and understanding, and much prefer talking to fighting. They are the peacemakers, known to back down rather than fight unless backing down would bring harm to a packmate. Wolves who wish to join these ranks are rarely denied.

Calazehr
The Darkhearted
The combined Zehr and Caladur packs, now called the Calazehr, are a force to be reckoned with. Here reside spies and cold-hearted killers those who bear no burdens on their consciences and feel no love for others.

Veren
The Family
After losing their lands to the vicious Calazehr, the former Veren pack seeks refuge in the unclaimed lands. They remain together, a pack without a true home, merely seeking to survive. With relationships plenty thicker than blood and an alpha litter on the way, it is unlikely that they will accept newcomers into the fold.

Will history repeat itself?

Plot Updates

The evil spirit Angel has finally been defeated, with the help of two brave wolves who sacrificed themselves to the cause, Tristan and Zyattiath. Those wolves poisoned during the ordeal have returned to their original state, with only mild weakness that will quickly fade, leftover from the strange magic. But with each pack's ranks decimated, the disappearance of the spirits, and the lands in disarray, drastic changes were made. The Zehr and Caladur have combined, as have the Lai'no and the Tyrehl, and the Da'Lith and the Erkeni. The Veren have retreated to the neutral lands, their former territory taken by the newly powerful Calazehr.

The spirits once played a vital role in the future of the wolves here, though that time is past. After the defeat of Angel, the evil spirit that threatened to slaughter every living thing in the lands, and the merging of the packs, several of the spirits faded away, their aid no longer needed. However, a few did remain to guide the new packs.

Orilise: (ore-ih-leez)
As the gentle advisor to the Kehme pack (formerly the guide of the Erkeni), she is to be feared and loved at the same time. She is one of the youngest of all spirits, with only a year of life, but also one of the wisest. Her untimely death was brought about by an abusive alpha in one of the past packs found here. The cruel male had her beaten to death when she failed to bring back a large enough kill. When she was alive, she was an excellent hunter, and still retains her cunning. When Orilise speaks, rare as that may be, it is generally a good idea to listen. She usually prefers to watch, rather than interfere, and is rarely noticed while lurking in the shadows. Her advice is almost always good, and though she remains solemn and calm most of the time, her anger is something to be feared. Only a few things set off this furious wrath - namely, abuse of another wolf, and pointless fighting. She keeps the mind frame of talking a problem out - however rudely - rather than trying to kill each other.

Eera: (ear-ah)
This kind-hearted spirit died in the same way as she had always lived: through love. She now guides the Lairehl wolves, which are very much the same as the wolves she was once alphess of. She was always smiling and happy. She even refused to believe that the wolves belonging to the evil pack were born that way. Although she admired those wolves who would fight for their beliefs, she only saw bloodshed and anger in war, may it have been between two packs or between two individuals. Her calm voice had always managed to be heard without her fangs or claws having to be shown. Her first litter was her pride and joy, but when all but one died a day after they had been born, her heart broke and was never properly repaired. When her only son was just past one year, the pack went hunting together. But the pup ran off, and Eera, frantic with fright, found him cowering over the vast figure of a bear. For the first time in her life, she became truly angry. How dare nature threaten another of her cubs when three had already been taken? Throwing herself at the bear to save her only cub was the last thing Eera ever did. She died that same day of her wounds and as she lay there, surrounded by her family, she knew that she should not have gotten angry, could have done it another way. This is why she has come back.

Zexqueviwax: (zecs-kiv-e-wax)
Zexqueviwax was the last of his litter to be born. His name came because of the garbled name his mother screamed as he was born. She died later that night. His father never really cared or protected him, and the other pups, including his brothers, constantly picked on him and beat him up. They would call him ‘Wax’ while doing so, which became his nickname. He ran away when he became a year old, and eventually ended up in the Zehr under a previous alpha's rule. As a pathetic creature, the border patrol was about to kill him when he ‘snapped’, killing one of them. After joining them, he ceased to care. Hardly listening to orders, and never doing anything for the pack unless he had to, the alpha was constantly frustrated with him. ‘Wax’ was killed while he was patrolling the Zehr borders. He was four. Being the way he was, he liked doing such things alone. Three wolves from a nearby pack ganged up on him and he was slaughtered. He came back because he wanted to see those who had murdered him. However, he instead became the ‘guardian’ spirit of the Calazehr, because he figured it would be better than anything else the afterlife offered.
