I have fitted new immo 2 Bora sport clocks that are can based to my TDI Bora that isnt can based, I have also fitted the VW MFD sat nav, When I am driving my satnav is slow compared to where i actually am & wont move when I am moving, All it does it update my position every 15 or so secconds, I have scanned the radio with vag-com & its sayin "No speed Gla signal" & no communications with TMC box? Is this because I have fitted the can based clocks & they use a different speed signal from the back of the clocks compared to the can ones?
If so is there a way of picking up the signal & putting it to my radio so the nav is accurate? -------------------- |

i dont know what a TMC box is, but it does sound like it's doing it as clocks and sat-nav dont want to work together or with the car.
i dont know how youd go about retro-fitting everything but i think it would be easier to find correct clocks that work with your car and sat-nav. -------------------- |

Does the sat nav need coding as in inputting the tyre size of your tyres into the sat nav unit so it knows how fast your traveling?
I know we have to do this to the Audi's as it does the same as your car and gives a big delay in the sat nav movement if you know what I mean? -------------------- |

Yeah I have done the tyre size & also set it to impulse 8, but when i scan it on vagcom it says no speed impulse (gala) signal

Tested the Gala wire with a multi meter today & it showed that there was a signal at the cars wiring loom, Also one at the back of the unit & one on the large connector, The reading slightly rose when I revved the car but still the unit wont keep up with where I am on the map

Did a vag-com scan on the nav unit & it said no speed signal, Re-fitted my old & basic non can clocks & the unit works perfectly!!
Is there any way of suppling a Gala signal from the can based clocks to the nav unit? Apparently on the non can ones it uses pin 30 on the green connecter but on can based ones pin 30 is used for some thing else -------------------- |

i dont know than pal, youll need the wiring diagrams for the different clocks.
if its can wiring you need two wires wrapped around each other which is a major pain in the arse. -------------------- |
