Đây là loài cây châu Á không rơ nơi xuất xứ. Cây me là dạng thường xanh với vỏ mỏng thô ráp và hơi đen. Lá mọc xen kẽ dai cứng với những lá con nhỏ giống h́nh lông chim.
Bông hoa có màu vàng nhạt được kết trong những chùm và trái dạng hạt đậu.
Thay chậu: Vào mùa xuân. cách 2 - 3 năm. với 70% đất và 30% cát to hay vật liệu tương đương.
Xén tỉa và giằng dây: Xén tỉa các rê bao quanh chậu và phía trên các lô thoát nước trong ục thay châu. Đồng thời loại bỏ bất cứ cành nào không cần thiết cho kiểu dáng sau cùng. Ở ngoài vùng.xuất xứ của chúng. cách tốt nhất là để cho các chồi non phát triển và tao h́nh dáng ṿm lá bằng cách tỉa xén vào cuối mùa hè Giằng dây từ cuối mùa xuân đến mùa hè.
Bón phân: Mỗi tháng một lần từ mùa xuân đến mùa thu. Không được bón phân trong khoảng thời gian ít nhất ba tháng sau khi thay chậu.
Lưu ư: Ta có thể đặt cây bên trong nhà hay trong nhà kính. Nếu Ở bên trong nhà th́ vị trí đặt cây cần được sáng sủa phun xịt tán lá thường xuyên. Vào mùa hè ta nên phơi cây dưới ánh sáng mặt trời. Để cho đất hơi khô ráo giữa những lần tưởi nước
