Introduction of the Nine Emperors:

These Nine Emperors (Bei Dou Jiu Xing) are believed to be the Nine sons of Mother of the Great Dipper in the North (Dou Mu).

In some ways, these Nine Emperors are also a symbol to represent the 9 Planets in our Solar System in the past.

With such recognition, these Nine Emperors do have very high ranking in Folk's Taoism Believes.

In the Lunar 9th Month, all Chinese Countries around the world (include Indonesia, Thailand, etc) will have big celebrations for the Nine Emperors' birthday. (a total of 9 days).

From the elderlys, these Nine Emperors can help people in removing excess bad lucks, adding of life-span and also to get rid of illness. So during the celebrations, devotees usually will request for bad-luck removing and addition life for parents.
