Hmm...Saturday at 7. Well, I can say with some certainty that that timeslot is about one of the least trafficked over here on Invision. It might work with the early evening start, as it falls just after the dinner hour and we may get it in before people go out to do stuff that night, so the time is good, I'm just not sure about the date. We'll have to get a sample of the other managers before I would sign off on it.

I won't be up there 'til the beginning of September, I think. Right now my family is basically preparing for it. I'm hopeful none of it will keep me from attending the draft though.

Sunday AFTERNOON (US time) if on Sunday and if I start my 2nd year at University on the 23rd (otherwise I can't make it). If the second factor doesn't apply, then I'm good to go.

Looks like we've got 12 people in the league. That's a pretty good turnout but beneath last year's count of 14.

I'm guessing Yoshikiller was in last year and out this year, Sheikah cancels him out. So who else was here last time around that isn't this time? Has anybody from here not signed up?

3:15 should be ok though, because sunday I'm usually either there in the morning, meaning im off by 315, or i close, meaning i dont go until 4 or 5, so I should be able to be there for at least the first few rounds.

Well, the draft is today. We'll see how it all shakes down in about 5 hours from now. Since we haven't had NBL games the last two days I wonder if some people here will forget and not show up. I hope not.

Per usual, I should have a write-up on the teams and the draft sometime within the week (I still have my home league, which drafted last Monday, to do, so it could be a while)

I won't forget but 3 in the afternoon is going to be nearly impossible for me, I have another draft at noon, and then from there I guess I'll see, but idk.

Do it later its the summer so 4 is right in the middle of the day.

I've now learned that you can't actually push back the draft time on the day of the draft. So if I push it back it'll have to be for another day altogether. I'm thinking this upcoming Friday around 8:15 could be a possibility.

I'll let you know if any changes occur before 4:15 today.

Boy this isn't an easy call, even though I think a majority of players will show up this afternoon, it's hard to really make a prediction on something like that. Kenshin, either way you want to play this is fine with me. I'm ready to go today, but if you think a bunch more people will show up a different day then you should change it. I would advise against changing it to Friday though, unless you make it early, say 7 or 7:30pm Eastern, because people inevitably will have plans on the weekend nights.

Final update:

I've decided to push the draft back to next Friday with the tentative start time of 6:15 EST. As it got closer to 4:15, I just didn't have a good sense of how many people would be able to attend. So hopefully we can work something out between now and Friday.

Just as a heads up though, I won't be able to do anything past the 27th due to my moving situation. So I would be thrilled if we could do it before then.

For a Friday, I think 6:15 is about as good as it gets. We'll just have to promote this throughout the week. Again, I think not having any games going on the last two days really put this draft timeslot today into a compromising position.

Ironically, just like Astros, Friday at 6:15 is going to be a much tougher time for me as well, but I'll make every effort.

Any way we could do like Thursday or something? If Friday is better for everyone then thats fine, but theres absolutely no way I can make it Friday unless I get really lucky.

I think we could do it any day of the week, honestly. We would just need to find a date that worked for as many people as possible.

Just off hand, I think Thursday is a really solid day for manager activity here. I think Thursday at roughly 6-8pm would probably be a best case scenario for most of us here. I think the only person that would get shafted in that timeslot would be DKX, but if we were to start at 6 or 7 he would probably be around to get some of the early rounds in.

We'll just have to take stock of who is working/out with other events between the hours of 6-10pm this week. In fact, if you guys could post which days you are out this week between those hours it would be extremely helpful. I'm good with any day, though I'd rather it not be Friday if at all possible. I'll send out a PM to everybody that's in the league from here to do that.

Tuesday and Thursday are the only good days for me this week.

I am open for all except Monday, since I'm supposed to register for my 2nd year at the university college I'm in on Tuesday.

Well, here's what we got so far:

DKX - not Monday
Astros - not Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
YD - all days good

I'm good for any day before next Saturday.

Hmm, my schedule often changes, but Monday is bad for sure. I think I'm good most other days, Friday could be a bit of a problem if it's after 8pm though.

Really looking forward to this, I've never played fantasy football before. Most of my friends aren't into football.

Well, at this point, I think all but Link026 have made their input, and it seems that Thursday is indeed the day that works best. The only question now is on the start time. A 6 or 7pm start time takes YG out of the mix, a 9pm or later start likely takes DKX out of play.

I've set the draft for Thursday at 6:15 EST and that's where I intend to keep it.
