Greetings ,
I am Telchontar, High council member and recruitment officer of the Rangers of Tharbad. It is always a delight to find yourself among fellow rangers. Especially when they are as devoted and passionate as the Rangers of Forochel. I would like to congratulate you on your wonderful forums: Never would I expect to find so much warmth in the ice bays of The North. It is a relief to see that serious and organised ranger kinships are still around. We would be more than happy if you visited our halls here. We try to hold some intersting discussions there, and the participation of your members would be an honour. Humble but warm inns and our Tharbdian Ale awaits the weary travellers from the north.

With honour,
Telchontar Thorodil - a friend from the South

P.S: Who is appointed to be responsible for recruiting in RoF. I would very much like to exhange some thoughts with him/her about our 'jobs'.

Hail Telchontar! Welcome to our halls, feel free to make yourself at home. It is truly an honor to have you in the ice bay. I will surely stop by your forums and post around a bit, and encourage the others as well. Oh, and btw...we don't really have a designated recruiter/diplomat. We all kinda just share the job. laugh.gif

Anyways, welcome to Forochel friend. biggrin.gif

Hail and well met Telchontar!

Thank you for the kind words, and for stopping by our halls. I will be sure to visit yours as well, if you have a chance stop by the Buttered Bull Inn for a Forochale. I know the barkeep pretty well, wink.gif so I'm sure you will be well taken care of. You can enjoy a nice ale by the fire, and a smoke as well if you wish. I always have some fine Haflings leaf put away for such occasions.

As Eoden said we recruit by committee, everyone is involved and has a say in the process. I think you could speak to any of the Kinsmen on this subject. I would be interested to speak with you about how the RoT goes about it. Feel free to contact me any time.

Again Thank you for visiting and please feel free to drop in when you are in Forochel and warm up by our hearth. You and any of your kin are welcome here any time.

Tenna’ san’

Angus

The world may be getting colder and darker, but in these strange times you shall find friends in the most unexpected places. And the frozen bay of the North is one of them! Thank you for your warm welcome: I will most certainly taste your Ale, ForochALE has become very popular in all of middle-earth. I guess its due to the warm spirits of the folk that serve it!

P.S: you can also check out our site www.tharbad.com . It includes our joinning page through which our members fill in their online app.

Well, I'll follow Tel here by saying hello friends. (Tel, I just came to do this and saw you beat me to it. You dirty rat.) Anyways, I was just stopping by to say hello. I heard ale, so I think I'll be off to warm myself by the fire. Thank you for the warm welcome. It will be well met at our place as well.

Welcome to Forochel Earondo, and thank you for stopping by. In these times of growing darkness it is truely a blessing to have friends in all the far corners of Arda.

Our halls are still under construction, but you will find all a weary traveler needs to sustain oneself is available. Please join us for an Ale by the fire in the Buttered Bulll. If you find yourself in need of anything during your visit, please find me and I will see to it.

Greetings to you as well Beleg. Nice to see you made it to Forochel, and by all means make yourself at home. Indeed we are doing fine, despite a few set backs the past couple of months. I see you have already visited the Buttered Bull so I'm going to head over and get you an Ale!!

Enjoy!!

Greetings Rangers of Forochel! Tis a long and cold journey to your home at the feet of the Blue Mountains, but it is worth it. I am glad to see that we have friends in these parts. May our friendship never wane.

In the meantime, I think I'll drop by the Buttered Bull to warm my chilled bones....

Thank you for that map that your granted us with, Angus, and it cleared up quite a bit in this old mind. Forgive me for not wandering around lately, I have been quite ill. However, the sun smiles warmly on me now, and I can visit those that I enjoy visiting! Merry close-enough-to-xmas-week Week!

And I have missed this delightful corner of peace and quite from the business and eyesores of the rest of the kinships in Middle-Earth. I feel at ease when I visit the RoF. As I make my final rounds before the holidays, I wish the Rangers a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year, if I dont see you until then!

Merry Christmas!

It would surely be a blessing to reap the harvest of the seeds sown the past years!

May we all enjoy the harvest and remember the friends we have met along the way, some that no longer walk our halls.

I sing this for them!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld Lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!

And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o thine
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld Lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!

*Takes large draw from his tankard*

A beautiful song, Angus, and indeed, we need to remember those who have given up hope in what we are striving for.

A Happy New Year, one and all! May this new year be kind to the Rangers of Forochel, and may they prosper through all that is good. May the friendship between the Rangers of Tharbad and the Rangers of Forochel never wither while Arda lives!

Welcome Maravathar!

Things are a bit slow here, but we expect things to pick up sooner or later.

--------------------
I think that I shall never seize
A castle lovely as a cheese
A cheese whose odor wafts my way
And lifts its breezy scent to play
Upon the nostrils of my foes
Inciting armies' jealous woes
A cheese that may in summer sate
A rescued maiden (potential mate)
And yet in winter warm the soul
Of warriors stuck in some dank hole
Castles are nice and maidens please
But death to those who take my cheese

Pops his head through the door.

"Greetings Maravathar, how have you been of late. I heard rumors in the wild, whispers of beasts and trees, that you were passing through our neck of the woods. I had no choice but to return to our halls to share some tales and have a good ale.... It has been too long since I had the Forochale refresh my throat."

Indeed, we've just finished voting in our new leadership:

Prince - Arahad

Elder - Earondo
Taskmaster - Nitefalas
Chieftain - Rufio
Treasurer - Thranin
Ambassador - ME! biggrin.gif

Things are progressing nicely in our kinship. How about yours? I know you were going through a dry time not long ago - have things turned around?

And Seanan, it's good to see you! It seems ages ago that we RPed together. wink.gif
