Welcome to the Portal!

I'm trying to edit this code. It is not easy, so bear with me. Hopefully the changes I make, will not ruin the code.

Okay, the portal now works. I'll figure how to add more "posts" when necessary. I figure I will post news here that doesn't need to be posted on the board. The most recent news on the forum now is the beginning of "A Mediterranean Excursion." Alice, Atrus, and myself hope that this will bring old posters back and get new posters. You can help us with this by voting for us on topsites.

 We Meet Again
Posted by Bowman Sisero - 08-15-09 05:16 - 13 comments
Bowman had a new found spring in his step, ever since he had told Alice about what he (reluctantly) had done with his friends and relatives to hide Alice's past from her he had felt much better... Mostly becuase she had been so receptive to believing it.

The other day she had sent him a letter telling him that she had finally managed to get Tinny to tell her the number she programed into the magical trunk in the back of the closet in the master bedroom. Bowman rushed to the house, his house actually.

He almost used his key (which he kept in hopes that Alice would suddenly have a change of heart and let him move back), however he realized that she still didn't necessarily fully trust him, even if she did invite him to come and be with her when she opened the trunk containing all her memories from her adult life.

He grudgingly knocked on the brass knocker that was on the door now (which Atrus, Tinny and Joe) had placed there instead of Bowman and Alice's Silver knocker they'd gotten from Bowman's parents for their wedding.

In Bowman's humble opinion they had gone about the memory loss mess in completely the wrong way, but it would all be over soon... He hoped.

 Try to Remember
Posted by Lorelei Alice Harrison - 06-13-09 01:52 - 11 comments
Late the night before Alice sent an owl to her apparent husband Bowman Sisero. She asked him if he would come talk to her. Alice wanted to solve this memory problem of hers. She figured talking to people who she might have an important memory with would help. A wedding or proposal should be something she should remember. Bowman responded that he would come.

Alice was nervous. She should have asked him her meet her somewhere more public. It would have made it more comfortable for her.

As Alice walked through the house, she wondered about the lack of pictures. If she and Bowman were married, should there be pictures? The only pictures she saw were ones of her family from when she was younger, after all this had been her parents house.

Alice walked up the stairs to the second floor where the master bed room was located. Alice hadn't been up to the second floor since the day she came from the hospital. She was too scared to sleep in the house alone, so she had been sleeping in the living room with the TV and all the lights on.

Alice flicked on the light in the bedroom. She was looking for something, anything to trigger a memory. She headed toward the dresser first in search of a wedding band or engagement ring. There wasn't one on her hand, maybe she kept it home. She searched through the box of jewelry, but found nothing that look like a wedding or engagement ring.

"My school trunk," she muttered and turned toward the closet. She opened the doors and paused. Her first evidence of marriage. Men's and women's close hung together in the closet. They were definitely her clothes, the dress she wore to the Christmas Ball her seventh year was there. Below her clothes was her Hogwarts trunk.

Alice pulled it out from under the clothes and tried to undo the lock. But the lock wouldn't open. She must have changed the combination during the period of time she couldn't remember.

A Little Bit of Writers Block

Kat needed coffee or some stimulant to keep her awake. She’d been up all night working on an article and she still wasn’t finished. She needed a break and some caffeine. She was determined to get this story done. It wasn’t vital but it was terribly boring and since she couldn’t think of a way to make it interesting she was still up.

Heading out of her house and to a Starbucks in London was her plan. She grabbed her coat off the coat rack and headed out her door. She apparated herself to a safe spot in London and hoped there was a coffee place nearby. She knew she wouldn’t be lucky enough to find a Starbucks but anything would do really.

If she didn’t get something in her soon she was going to become a klutz and hurt herself. When Kat didn’t get enough sleep she became clumsy and that normally end up with her breaking something. So she normally tried to avoid sleepless nights. Sadly it just wasn’t working out for her at the moment.

“Why did I have to do an article on cauldron’s being sold with malfunctions?” she asked herself as she walked down the street tripping over a loose stone. She caught herself and was glad that when she looked up she found a coffee shop. She quickly headed in and ordered herself a coffee.
