SIGNATURE OF THE WEEK

It's time to put your artistic skills to the test. Join and battle other Iris loungers for this weekly event the [rflash]"Signature of the Week"[/rflash] battle!

Rules and Mechanics

1. This weekly battle is open to all Iris Loungers with 50 post counts & up.

2. There will be a different theme every week. You are free to follow it or choose a different concept. However, those who will follow the theme will automatically be given 2 points

3. Only one entry per member every week.

4. Entries must be made by you. We wont tolerate ripping & PLAGARISM

5. Entries must not contain any offensive, obscene & pornographic images or texts. Though a bit of naughtiness or "green" will be tolerated, just make sure it's not too vulgar.

6. Submit your entries to the Event Moderator Haruhi (that's me! :D) via pm.

7. Entries must not go beyond 500x200 pixel size and 100 file size.

8. Submit two versions of your entry.

• One with the word SAMPLE on it to prevent other people from ripping your work. (Lower the opacity of the word SAMPLE so it wont be too prominent)
• The other one, with your name on it.. which will serve as a copyright. Just incase your entry wins

9. Voting system will be in a POST VOTE form. Participants can vote for themselves ofcourse but make sure not to give any clues away that you made the signature.

10. In order to avoid for this weekly event to become a popularity contest, participants identity will not be revealed while voting is on going. Participants are required to choose an anonymous filename & upload your sample work to a host that will not in any way will reveal your identity. ( ex: http://imageshack.us/ )

NOTE: You can choose to upload your original work with your name on it in the likes of photobucket.com

11. All participants will automatically get additional 10 Post Counts!

There are more than one person behind the Event Moderator's avatar.. to be fair to others, all those who'll handle this account will not be allowed to vote.. However we'll be allowed to join the contest if we choose to.

We'll be experimenting a new system this week. Since some of you suggested that we separate Static sigs and animated sigs SOTW.

Additional mechanics/rules for next weeks SOTW

1. There will be 2 categories for the one theme

• Static
• Animated

2. A participant can submit one signature per category. In other words you can join both static & animated SOTW battle if you want.

3. If ever you won on both categories. You'll get +200 pc & the award banner

4. If you join both categories and didn't win you'll get +20 pc

5. If you win in one of the categories but lost in the other one, you'll get +100 pc and the award banner.


Support this new system and we will include this in the official mechanics. Lets make this fun & educational. Don't let the competition get to you that much..

Due to unpopular demand, we'll be reverting back to only one entry per member. It can be either static or animated, as long as it complies with the sig size limit (500x150 pixel size and 100 file size).

All participants will now get an automatic +30 post counts!
