pRO to launch new Thor server

For Philippine Ragnarok Online players who want a fresh start, a new and better beginning will be arriving very soon! On September 21, pRO will be launching an entirely new server called Thor. Named after the Thunder God of Norse mythology, Thor server aims to encourage players to start a new life - bringing them back to their gaming roots and restore the basic elements of playing online games.

One of the main features of Thor is Ragdefender. This software helps prevent illegal third-party programs from entering the server and allows true online gaming to exist for all players to enjoy. Now, Ragnarok players can experience a more fair play and once again feel the fun and excitement of being with “real” players – the way it should be.

Aside from just being a new addition to the server family, Thor has its own original background story based on the events happening in pRO. The storyline revolves around a brave adventurer who seeks to find a cure to a virus born from evil and which is threatening to infect the whole land. Players can uncover more of the story as it continues in the Thor server and upcoming Ragnarok episodes.

Players can also look forward to other Thor events like the RO Grand Prix (tentative title), a guild-based PvP (player vs. player) tournament which is expected to hit all servers this October. Plus, a special launch bonus for players in Thor—a week of 3X Modified Experience from September 21 to 27.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THOR

How to install Thor (for PCs with existing pRO client) - On or after Sept. 21

1. Download Thor
A) WinRAR Format (2.5MB) - THOR.rar
B) WinZIP Format (2.5MB) - THOR.zip

2. Unzip or extract the file Thor.exe
3. Double click on thor.exe
4. Follow the prompts of the install wizard and extract the contents to your RO folder.
5. Click on the Thor icon to start playing

NOTE: Thor server is NOT part of the server-sets for commercial world (like Chaos or Odin). It is a separate client similar to Urdr or Sakray. For Cafй owners, please instruct your players to click on the THOR icon to start playing on Thor. You can have this displayed on your desktop.

How to install Thor (for PCs without pRO client) - On or after Sep 21

1. Use Lighthalzen CD Installer and extract Thor installation file in the pRO folder (Download and follow the install instructions above)

2. Use the Noghaltz CD Installer to auto-install pRO Client including Thor
