A LETTER TO THE COMMUNITY:

People have different perceptions on how they should handle the forums. But remember, that they themselves, the core admin team, have originally created this forums (and technically speaking they own it). This gives them inherent and legal rights to it.

Posters here are basically free to post in “THEIR” forums.

However, (believe it or not) in the span of a year or so, they’ve been nothing but “lenient” compassionate and simply patient with even the most illogical abusive undisciplined or arrogant (yes those who think they know best how to run things when they are primarily “merely” normal posters) types.

Admins/Mods DESERVE more than “CRITICISMS”.

The great irony is that, these admins or mods you continually bash are the best the community has. Without them the boards will be in far more chaotic and crappy place considering the type of general population that swarm in here. If you truly believe in helping the community, then your contribution should be in supporting them not in pressuring them.

They simply DESERVE your “COOPERATION”.

As to the question why they should deserve such things. Of course they are not perfect beings, nor omnipotent ones of course, however more than anyone and any group. . .

THEY HAVE “BLED AND SACRIFICED” for the community.

In all aspects of board management from technical expertise and to the deliberation of policies or agendas affecting the community, they have clearly DEVOTED their own TIME and EFFORTS. Nonetheless,

The general COMMUNITY has always lacked to give their “APPRECIATION” with a few exceptions.

Then again you cannot anymore EXPECT these things from a group who will never recognize any kind of AUTHORITY.

As for me, Thank you admins mods. You’ve made my life easier. Finally, you are all moving on. I am HAPPY for you guys.

this admin should have confronted us with the problems regards the boards so we could have at least addressed the problem. ang saket na sa ibang tao pa namin nalalaman yung mga bagay na ganito.

kung talagang bias kami eh di dapat we should have suspended your ass permanently.

if you have problems with your fellow officers sana sinabi mo sa amin. pero dahil hindi kami bias we didn't remove your powers. we were waiting for your explanation. we didn't confront you kasi we were hoping you would voluntarily tell your sentiments to us and we could fix it pero it all ended in vain.

yes we are permantly banning them. kaso gumagawa sila ng bagong account. hindi naman pwedeng lahat ng bagong accounts magsuspetsa na kami na sila yun.

we have been fair. lahat ng may accussations, we give them 3 days to produce evidence or face suspension. we weren't bias.

isn't this a little too bias even for you? the way it was depicted parang sobra nimin inaapi ang isang guild or faction? baket naman namin gagawin yun? we were just doing our job. pansinin nyo naman sana na lahat kayo regardless of guild we treat fairly and justly. nagkataon lang na nagkampihan kayo dati. and now nagkampihan din kayo against us.

wala kaming kwenta? pero aminado ka na you got suspended because of flaming? where's the justice in that?

bottom line is this. we have been accussed and alot of hurtful things were said against us pero we didn't take it against you guys. yung mga nagpost sa taas they are still able to post in this board. kung bias kami eh di sana matagal na kayong wala dito. it was march of this year and july na ngayon. ni isang confrontation wala kayong narinig sa amin. same with you xalaxias we never removed your power. we were waiting for you to take the initiative and open your sentiments to us. we were waiting. sobra. sobra na kaming naging diplomatic.

bottom line is this. we also have feelings and emotions and miski ang dami ng nasasabing masasamang salita laban sa amin we didn't abuse our powers to take vengeance. we never did and we never will. yan si mikaela and galatea ilang beses na yan nababastos pero they still kept their cool and i admire them for it.

pagod na kami of all the crap. being surrounded by politics. being surrounded by tupperware people. hindi kami bias pero tao din kami na pwedeng masaktan.

examples lang yun sa taas. kung active poster kayo sa board napapansin nyo naman siguro kung pano kami naapi pero we still do our jobs pero this time pagod na din kami.

can the others put themselves in our shoes back then? ano kaya yung ginawa nila? we waited for something, a confrontation or something to settle issues and differences, we waited for 4(?) months. i gues i could say we waited in vain.

anyways i don't feel the same feelings i did when i first knew of the incident, in fact i got to know some of the people there personally (since they joined tempest), had a few drinks with them, and i've forgiven them. afterall, people do change overtime. ^_^

and yes, i am happy because they changed, and am thankful for everyone who cared. :)

Hindi naman ata naka-include sa rules and regulations ng boards that people who post here can't criticize or even flame you guys in their own boards right? When you manage a community as large and as sleazy as RO folk, you're bound to encounter lotsa people who'd disagree with you. Like you said, you wanted to maintain a sense of professionalism kaya hindi nyo sila niresbakan. Actually, ano kaya ang mangyayari pag niresbakan nyo nga sila? A lot of people here would see your actions as unjust and power crazy, a lot of people here would leave and probably make their own messageboard. That chism would be entirely contrary to the goals that you probably had when you created this messageboards.

In other words, you weren't being professional out of the kindness of your hearts but rather out of neccesity. Now, I'm not saying that that's a bad thing. In fact, I applaude you guys for doing a decent enough job. There are a lot of moderators/admin that are commendable in their efforts to maintain this boards but reading up on what the people Cinder Fury quoted said and relating it to my own experiences, I can't say that they don't have any reason to be pissed off at you guys.

The point of the matter is this: This messageboard exists as it does because of your conscious efforts to make it so. I think it's safe for me to say that we are free to think and talk about you in any manner we choose outside this messageboard. I don't think Xalazias has done anything wrong in as far as her the things she had said are concerned. As far as "kaplastikan" issues are concerned, there's "plastik" and then there's being civil. It's common in structures where different ideals conflict for members of the opposing ideas to remain civil despite their differences. Not telling someone to his face what you think is wrong with him can be interpreted as politeness in as much likelihood as it could be interpreted as "kaplastikan".

angelsnite if you cant take the heat don't enter the kitchen. it's not being civil. being civil is when you do not personally make a scene over an issue and decide to over look it or confront the person in a well mannered approach. ang plastikan is pag kaharap mo ang tao iba sinasabi pero pag nakatalikod ka iba din sinasabi.

if she has issues with us she should have told us. ano magagawa ng mga sinabihan nya about her alleged problems with us? wala naman diba? parang yung mga tao sa pinas who bitch and whine but not address the issue.

and it's different. xalxias was a member of the admin team. she was part management equal to yours truly and the other admins and board officers. i hope you understand that we never take it against them that they were saying mean stuff about us. what i can't fathom is that another admin chose to stab us at the back when we were supposed to be family. yun lang. professional relationships are also involved here.

Still doesn't take her right to say it to them away, neither does it mean that she did anything wrong. On the part of being with the management, you have a point. Being part of the admin does mean having responsibilities to the admin, like you can't openly talk bad about the place you're working for and stuff like that. But then if that's the case, why all this drama? You could have resolved the matter professionaly (and discreetly) by talking about it yourselves. The mentality of waiting for someone who has grievances to open it up before addressing it is flawed. You should have brought it up with her and gave her sanctions as necessary if her actions warranted it. That would have been professional.

hmmm... i know that i don't really post here that much so most people don't know me...

let me just say, i thank the admins and mods truly from the bottom of my heart... i, for one, know a bit how it feels like to be an admin.... take note that i said "a bit" only because in one boards that i am active in, i am only a staff member which is like a middle position in the boards unlike admin/mod it doesn't have authority and stuff but unlike a regular member, there are stuff that we can do...

I also congratulate the admins and mods in this forum for keeping this board up for a long time which is a big achievement considering the personality and/or mentality of most filipinoes... i am not one to criticize but in any community, game, or the like i have joined in which filipinoes dominate, it is chaotic and hard to manage... the boards i am a staff in is international so i have it easy there since people there are more tolerable... but you have to understand that in maintaining something like this which you guys have created out of nothing and managed for i don't know how long, you need to know that besides being unbiased in your work and being understanding, you need to consider the feelings of people... i am guessing that most of the people that you mentioned which bad-mouthed you are the people who are active in this forums, are they not? being that they are active in the forums, when something bad happens to them and you or another admin is the cause of it, you need to explain why that happened... of course, since you already get flamed in the guild boards as you have mentioned and you know it already, why stand by and watch when you can do something about it? explain in their guild boards why that happened and if they do not accept your explanation, then that's when you wait since you have already done something...

I am not saying that it is entirely your guys fault, it is also the fault of the people who flamed in their respective guild boards... if something happened to their personal account because of an admin/mod, why not create a new one and ask for an explanation? if you're angry, why flame? flaming does not do anybody any good... sure, you might feel satisfied for the moment or for quite a while but the thing about flaming is, if it is not stopped, it could go on for a long time especially if somebody joins you...

anyways, its not like im preventing you guys from quitting... go ahead and do it if you like... actually, i recommend it... you guys took your respective positions because you guys felt that you could handle the responsibilities, advantages, disadvantages and all that stuff that comes with it... you guys should know the moment that you had that position, you guys got the good things that comes with it along with the bad things too... as i believe, "yin and yang", though good is good, there is also some bad that comes along with it, no matter how small or how unnoticable it may be...
