Title: The 2-21-11 rumors

N8 STORM - February 3, 2011 01:51 AM (GMT)
So far the rumors seem to centering around Undertaker and/or Sting. There are various reports on Sting that contradict each other on whether he has signed.

I really hope it's Sting. Not only would we, maybe, get to see him against the Undertaker, but then we'd probably get a career DVD and some Mattel figures :)

It is sounding like Sting is going to re-sign with TNA, so it is probably just about the Undertaker. Here is a cool pic some one did:

Sings point more and more towards it only being 'taker. Supposedly Sting was never even in talks with WWE. Why they would make such a big fuss about the 43rd return of the Undertaker is a bit odd, though. They are setting up the fans for a big disappointment.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, (highly possible :D ) but it seems like they are being TOO obvious about it being Undertaker's return (especially with the "no grave can hold my body down" song in the promo). I don't remember them ever making this big of a deal about Undertaker coming back before. It's almost like they want to hit us over the head with to make us think it's 'Taker so the reveal will be a surprise (?) I'm not saying I believe it's Sting, but I don't think it's the Undertaker either.

The latest rumors are that the Undertaker's Wrestlemania match may be against Triple H.

-LE- - February 13, 2011 01:56 AM (GMT)
That's stupid. They better come up with a kick ass story to get that over. Taker already beat him once in the streak. HHH MUST go after Sheamus, or I may just quit altogether

Mathias - February 13, 2011 03:20 PM (GMT)
I can see that happening if they went along the lines of HHH challenging him because he beat Michaels last year or something like that. Especially if Michaels is guest host of Wrestlemania, he may be the referee
Although HHH v Shaemus & Undertaker v Barrett makes more sense

Some of the potential matchups I see:

Undertaker vs. Triple H. Could be career vs. streak with Michaels as the referee.

Undertaker vs. Barrett.

Undertaker & Big Show vs. The Corre & Kane. If Undertaker is still not close to a 100%, I could see them putting him in a tag match or a 3/4 way.

Skeletor D.U.K. - February 15, 2011 10:12 PM (GMT)
Well, Triple H makes sense, I guess. Sting is a no go, Cena will fight for the title, Kane would be lame, Lesnar is out - not much of a choice there.
Many would like to see Barrett, but while I agree that it would help Barrett carreer-wise (even if he got squashed, which of course he would), this is simply not a Wrestlemania worthy match in my opinion.

So Triple H as a Plan C, sure.
- They met before 10 Wrestlemanias ago. Nice round number.
- Enough Triple H haters will expect him to book himself to win just to please his ego. Causes anticipation.
- Triple H wants a) a rematch, B) avenge HBK, c) do the one thing no one ever could do because he already achieved everything else.
- Nash and Michaels might get involved. All three of them got defeated by Taker at Mania before.
- "Streak vs Career" again is a nice touch. Triple H apparently is indeed ready to focus on his backstage duties full-time. I would expect him to only semi-retire, though. He may show up for the occasional Summerslam or Mania match.

All that put together sounds to me like something they can easily package in Wrestlemania worthy proportions.

hmmmm kliq v undertaker.. Im intreagued by that possibility I must say

N8 STORM - February 21, 2011 04:13 AM (GMT)
The odds seem to be in Undertaker vs. Triple H's corner now. I guess we should probably know more tomorrow.

N8 STORM - February 22, 2011 04:18 AM (GMT)
Yep, Triple H vs. Undertaker at Mania.

I hate how they had Gabriel and Slater lose the tag titles and then win them back. They should have just had the match end how the second fall ended.

-LE- - February 22, 2011 04:30 AM (GMT)
I kinda wonder if that's what was supposed ot happen and MIz just kinda did what he wanted. Cena looked legit shocked with the win.

Mathias - February 22, 2011 10:10 PM (GMT)
It gives Michael Cole a new line I suppose, Miz won the titles but Cena lost them

Cant remember WWE having a 10 minute segment without a word being said before

Hunter He-Man Helmsley - February 24, 2011 12:55 PM (GMT)
So it was Taker. Glad to see him back, but really don't know why they went to all the trouble of those promos just for his 4,479th return ; )

Bringing HHH back they way they did was INCREDIBLE. And while HHH vs Taker makes sense (because of HBK) I'm still hoping that between now and Wrestlemania we see Sheamaus vs HHH and Taker against Kane and/or The Coore. Another Taker vs Kane seems a bit boring, but I think those loose ends need tied up before Wrestlemania.
