As noted earlier, Batista has suffered a torn bicep and is scheduled to have surgery this coming Tuesday. As seen last night, Batista still worked the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, winning the title. As of a few hours ago, he was also written into tonight's Raw. Expect the injury to be worked into storylines also. There's no word yet on the severity of the tear or how long Batista is expected out of action, but some people have been wondering if the injury will mean an imminent return for Triple H.

The dark match was Mickie James and Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendez. The Faces win when Mickie pins Rosa.

I heard that Batista was suppose to have surgery that's why I'm kind of amazed that the creative team gave him a title run. This can get interesting how this is worked into the storyline

Surely Ortons gonna win the title straight back on Raw. Maybe something along the lines of Batista getting the first part of his plan going but even then cant keep Orton down or something

He could relinquish the title like he did last time...setting up a sweet tournament at Summerslam~!

A tournament gets my vote (for whatever it's worth). I'm a big mark for title tournaments... Especially one-nighters (like at WM4, or Survivor Series '98!).

At least they didn't give Orton the title by forfeit tonight. I hate forfeits for titles. I wonder if this means Triple H vs. Orton for the title next week? They said all three major titles would be on the line next week.

Did they say when Trips was to come back? I was expecting this Orton feud to continue all the way to Summerslam and have Orton defend the title at Summerslam against Trips and Trips wins. If he's coming back next week I imagine that there's going to be some set for Summerslam.

There was supposed to be a title match between Orton and Batista tonight and if Batista didn't show up Orton would win the title by forfeit (Batista got beat up by Orton and Legacy earlier in the night). At the end of the show, Triple H showed up instead and beat up on Orton, so Batista is still champ...for now.

Batista has been stripped of the title. He is expected to miss about 4 months. Next week on Raw, there will be a fatale four way for the title (Cena vs. Big Show vs. Triple H vs. Orton).

I pick Big Show....just because WWE seems to like pissing fans off lately

What was the sodding point of Batista beating rton? They could have given Orton a lengthy run, made the belt mean something! :chair:

I'm not sure what creative is thinking the majority of the time. If Orton was going to win it again they never should have let him lose it in the first place. The only thing I can think of is that creative was looking for a way to give the belt to trips, but then they decided or he decided to win it at Summerslam. I agree that Orton could have been the champ all the way to Summerslam
