Title: ALL MEMBERS READ: Merge?

Ace - September 14, 2006 12:31 PM (GMT)
Well, I PMd Camaro about this, he told me that I can pitch it to you guys, see what you all think.

I run a site, called wrestling-kings.com, it's 250 plus members strong, and about 20 active, but school just started and the forum dropped in activity as all forums do when summer ends. The efed, Frontier Championship Wrestling has had to stop since people haven't been showing up on time to make promos or write matches. I was wondering, what are all of your opinions on a merge with wrestling-kings?

Features:

Great adminship
Serious posters
Red and black skin
Skin changer (Gray and blue choices)
Great Banner
5 wrestling forums
4 efed forums
3 general forums

I will make Camaro an admin of the site, and I can also make whoever is a moderator a mod at the site since my current mod, he's not as active since school (College) is back.

All should go well, you guys can have an efed to practice promos and develope wrestling characters in and develope feuds with other forum members. More members to talk to, and a .com site, which is what everyone wants, to be known by the world.

This is a great opportunity, but I need your opinions on this, so vote in the poll.

With IF, you have to add forums. infront instead of www. because IF strips out the www for sub domains to add z14, etc..

Sorry. Not a big fan of the change. We just had a big influx of new members, and I, for one, would like to see where the site goes from there.

Aside from that, we already have a strong core of posters, and we never have to worry about flaming or any of that nonsense. While a few new members may (or may not) prompt some new discussions, it just doesn't seem necessary.

Sorry, Ace.

Ace, I checked out your site & I see somethings that I like.

The shoutbox is one of those things taht some can deal w/ or deal w/o...it just happens to be one of those things taht can get hectic.

Your arcade showed me the 404 error so I cannot comment on that.

I like your HQ, that's a good concept & so is teh idea of writing our own matches section on your site.

A skin changer is able to be done on these types of forums so it isn't really a factor for me.

The new crowd I don't see as a problem, true...flames happen from time to time but I think they happen more becasue of a misunderstanding, improper board management, & an uneasyness to listen or have an open mind when it comes to others's views or opinions.

The members from here are mostly from he-man.org & most have more tahn the ability to intermingle w/ others in a descent manner.

So my vote is keep Camaro in the powers that be & bring on any new members or discussions...I have no problems w/ a merge here...but at the same time, I'll add taht there's nothing really wrong w/ 2 seperate wrestling forums.
