Regions & Packs
Wolf’s Requiem has a pack system which is different from most other role-playing games. This can be confusing for some players, if you are confused, don’t hesitate to contact a staff member.
Regions
Instead of having each pack preformed with a board as their territory, our packs occupy regions. A region is a geographical area which can be inhabited by several packs as well as loners. Regions are split between packs, with some room in between borders for lone wolves to roam. It is up to the players to specify in what area/territory within a region the thread takes place. The point of Regions is to encourage inter-pack interactions.
You must specify oocly at the top of any new thread indicating which territory the thread is in. If your character is not in a territory, then roleplay is in the "No-Wolf-Zone" or "NWZ"
Packs
Packs may be started by anyone as long as you understand the following guidelines. First: being a leader means you must be active in character as well as out of character. It takes a lot of time to accept members and update ranks. Being a leader means you must be committed to being active in the long-run. If a leader falls inactive then their second in command will take over.
If you agree to adhere to the guidelines above, then there are two requirements to start a pack: members and territory. To start a pack you need at least five (5) members, including your character. Each member must have met the (potential) leader IC and agreed to join your pack. Regions can only hold so many packs. If there is an unoccupied territory within a region, then you may move your pack in. If there are no areas available, you and your followers must challenge the pack you wish to displace. Whoever wins the IC fight will gain control of the area. If your pack loses a challenge you may challenge another pack (not the one you just were defeated by) or you may disband. Disbanded members may become loners or try to join another pack.
Packs have unique names and colors. When you apply for a pack (make a thread in the Request Box) you will have to supply a color/theme. You have the option to make your pack banner or have a staff member do it for you. There is a limit of one leader character per person.
Heirarchy
The standard pack hierarchy is described below, though some packs have different systems.
Leader -- (1) The pack alpha.
Beta(s) -- (1-2) Second in command.
Subordinates -- (unlimited) Average members.
Omega-- (1)
Challenging
Challenges occur in-character. Power-playing and god-moding is not tolerated. Anyone within a pack may challenge for a higher position. Challenges may only be made by members who have been active within the pack for at least three months.
