DuskClan Camp The DuskClan camp is sheltered in the depths of a dense forest, hidden by numerous ferns and brambles. The trees grow close together, making leaving and entering both a hassle. However, the forest fans out and opens into a small, narrow clearing; the grass dusted away from generations of paws. On the other side, the woodland grows thickest. As for the camp... Greenstar's den is located on the far side of the narrow clearing, where the trees are thin, but one daring oak stands tall and firm; with upped roots and a dug out hollow just beneath. Another such tree resides on the other side of the clearing, which leads out to the Training Hollow. Here, the medicine cat and their apprentice settle the herbs. As for their sleeping place, a few dugouts just below some thick patches of thorn bush work fine. In the thickest of the undergrowth (on the opposing side of the clearing, where the trees grow densest) the warriors and apprentices have dug out their dens below the sheltered roofs of brambles and bracken. Elders have been given a fallen tree for sheltered, where over the ages the inside has worn away. The log has been purposefully placed near the large oak beside the medicine cat's dens', for easy reach in case of trouble. Queens and their kits also share the fallen log. Warriors and apprentices share fresh kill in the center of the clearing, and the pile is filled just between their dens; in a hole dug just for that. In the center most part of the clearing, Greenstar stands to call his clan to meet, and to name apprentices and warriors. |

Training Hollow By leaving the camp from the medicine cat's, and traveling toward SunClan territory, you can come upon the Training Hollow. (Farther out would of course, be the Open Rocks, but apprentices have to wait before going out there on their own.) The hollow is rather steep, but if you know where to go, then you can get your footing on roots and stones that jut outward, and make it easily down. The hollow is rather sandy, and during greenleaf, can be a bit moist. Because there aren't any trees in the sandy hollow, snakes like to come and sunbathe on the surface of the rocks and sand; which collect heat like lizards! Adders are a rare sight, but rather, corn and rat snakes. Apprentices will learn different techniques from their mentors here; and maybe even a snake or two if they're not careful! However, fighting tactics aren't all that are to be learned here. Hunting skills, and stealthy paws can be gained from many moons of practice... Leaving the sandy floors of the hollow, one can find themselves on flat graystone; where birds like to pick for seeds in the cracks. Adders prefer sunning on these rocks, and if a cat were to venture farther into the vast open, they would soon find themselves on the Open Rocks... |

![]() |
Open Rocks These rocks provide a wealthy sunning spot for snakes and lizards of all kinds; but be wary, as adders frequent the gray stone more so than any other. While on the warning note: Blue-tailed lizards also sun themselves here. Any cat that might eat one, or be lucky enough to catch for that matter can get sick from it. Bellyache might be the most common of side effects, but who's to say a cat couldn't catch a fever from a lizard either? Aside from that, the Open Rocks can play host to other, better, prey. Such as mice, birds, and perhaps the less frequent water vole. Only older cats and warriors might venture out here; it's strictly off limits to any apprentice because of the dangerous adders and vast, open rock faces. It's easy to get lost out on the Open Rocks, and even worse, it's very hot and dry out over them as well. Stick close to the forest; all prey know that! If one were to travel straight, and follow the jagged crack where grass and dandelions grow, they would find themselves at the boundary waters of the Border Streams. The Open Rocks slope steeply downward, and have been smoothed away by the years of rushing water... |

Border Streams Even in leafbare, these streams run strong. But on the DuskClan side, the Open Rocks don't provide such an eager surface to fish from. However, on the SunClan side, the rocks are less, and have been replaced there by sand and pebbles. SunClan cats are excellent fishers and swimmers; perhaps the best out of all four clans. The Border Streams fan out into three separate streams, which SunClan make the most of. DuskClan have no use for the streams, other than for the boundaries of DuskClan and SunClan territory. In the streams, fish of all kinds reside; as well as frogs, crawfish, and the like. On the less rocky parts of the shores, reeds and other such plants grow... |

Mixed Trees The DuskClan border with DawnClan; filled with different deciduous and coniferous trees. Aside from the different plant life that grows around the base of the trees, an array of prey also live here. Mice and thrush prefer picking around the leaves for seeds, while squirrels stick to the roots and trunk for nuts... but foxes also like this area; because it is prey-plenty. Being near Twoleg territory makes these foxes a little more stubborn, and willing to take on a cat. Apprentices should only come here with a mentor, or while on border patrol. Thankfully there is a bounty of high limbed trees, which foxes can't climb; and if the patrol is big enough, it's advised to chase the fox away. |

SunClan Camp The camp of SunClan. It's littered with trees and several small boulders, which create the dens for the clan cats. The leader's den is located in a well-weathered rock, where wind and water have carved away a small cave. Ferns and moss drape the entrance, making it hard to see inside. The apprentices' den is in an old fox den, right next to the warriors' den. The warriors of SunClan sleep in a hollowed redwood tree. The medicine cat and his or her apprentice sleep in under the roots of a tree, where a badger or some creature dug their den. The queens and their precious kits live in a bramble dome near the warriors' den. On top of a redwood stump, struck down by lightning long ago, is where the leader holds his or her meetings. |

Tall Trees A mainly redwood area of the forest. The giant trees stretch forever, it seems. By the largest redwood lies the graveyard of SunClan. Every cat, from a kit to an elder, is buried here after their service, short or long, to the Clan is over. The only cats not buried here are rogues and loners. In a small clearing of the redwoods is where mentors take their apprentices to train them. Ivy and ferns coushin the trees, so if an apprentice is sent flying into one of the redwoods, he or she will not be seriously injured. The grass is sometimes torn up from mock battles that take place here, but it grows back quickly into the same lush carpet due to the good soil conditions. |

Border Streams The streams that border DuskClan. Here, cats from SunClan can cool off in the streams, fish or hunt water voles. The streams are quick-running, but shallow enough so that only a kit or a small apprentice could drown. By the shores of the largest stream, called the Sun Stream by most cats, there are many reeds and cattail plants. Frogs and fish swim in the waters of all three streams. Most cats steer away from frogs, but are eager to catch the fish to feed their Clan. Apprentices are taught to swim and fish at the Sky Stream, the slowest, shallowest and smallest of the three streams. Kits are brought to play near the Sky Stream as well, under the watchful eye of their mothers. Once apprentices have gotten good at swimming, they move to the Cloud Stream, the moderate stream. Here the water is neither fast nor slow and relatively safe. |

Abandoned Thunderpath The abandoned twoleg Thunderpath. It is the border between SunClan and MoonClan. Monsters used to tear down it like lightning, but now it is silent. Grass has started to break through the foul-smelling twoleg junk and overtake it. Despite the lingering smell, many prey live here, making it a good spot for cats to come and hunt. Sometimes twolegs will walk down the crumbling Thunderpath with their dogs, or alone. Every now and then, a twoleg will come by on a smaller monster with only two paws, one in front and one in back. These monsters are quieter and don't seem as dangerous, but cats still try to hide whenever they come down the Thunderpath. |

MoonClan Camp The MoonClan camp is situated in a narrow gap between two hills. The buffeting winds don't reach between the hills, so the MoonClan cats are well protected from the powerful gusts above on the moorland. Down in the gap, brambles and thorn bushes grow in small patches scattered here and there. In the strongest of undergrowth, the warriors and apprentices make their dens. Queens and elders sleep under separate, small overhanging rock structures. Thick plates of slate and clay stick out from the hillside, providing them with shelter from the wind and rain. Beds in the soil have been dug out for each queen and/or elder, filled with bird feathers and moss. As for the medicine cat and their apprentice, they take to a fissured rock on the far side of the gap; a very large rock, probably carved by generations of running water. The leader of MoonClan can sleep and think inside their den, formed out of several smooth boulders, which have fallen onto of one another. A gap, just big enough for two cats, allows the leader enough room. A comfortable bed of moss waits inside. The plates of slate and clay that provide cover for the queens and elders also serves another purpose. The leader can address the clan from here, and name apprentices and warriors from this powerful spot. |

Whispering Hills Most of MoonClan territory is made up of hills and moorland. When the wind whips over the lush green mounds, it seems that sometimes StarClan are whispering... Though, at night especially, the wind is quick on the top most hills; and is like a battering ram on the flat, treeless reaches of moorland. However, despite the wind, rabbits and birds usually frequent the area, as well as mice and other rodents. MoonClan are the swiftest of cats, with lean, stark bodies born from sprinting and standing against the wind. Since the area is void of trees, it's easy to see the large orange moon during new-leaf and leaf-bare. Some of the cats in MoonClan, though they don't speak openly about it to other clans, believe that their clan is watched over by StarClan more so than others. Though, StarClan have no favorites; and do not meddle in the affair of the clans. |

Abandoned Thunderpath Farther away from the MoonClan camp, closer to the forest that holds SunClan, is an old abandoned thunderpath. The thunderpath serves as a boarder between SunClan and MoonClan; but the moorland cats don't quite travel that distance for the mice and birds that dot the sun-hot stone surface when there are rabbits to chase. Grass and other little things poke up from the age-old cracks in the thunderpath. And though the biggest monsters are gone, little ones still visit during greenleaf. They're not as dangerous as the foul smelling, glittering beasts, but they still need Twolegs to guide them. No cat really knows why the thunderpath hasn't been of much use of the past several moons, but so far as the monsters don't come back, it should be a good thing. |

Narrow Clearing Where the moorland starts to drift apart, and pines begin to grow, is where the border between MoonClan and DawnClan begins. Several tall trees remain on MoonClan's side, but a narrow strip of lush grass-an old Twoleg path, grown over-is the end of MoonClan and the beginning of DawnClan. Frisky little critters run about here, but the moorland cats have little use for quick, tree climbing squirrels when their bodies are built sleek for fetching rabbits. Flowers and other such pretty things grow around here during new-leaf and greenleaf. And as for the Twolegs, they hardly come this way any more. Their kits like to frolic in the warm greenleaf sunshine, and sometimes they bring tightly woven webs and eat on the path... Some even throw pieces of strange fresh-kill for the forest cats, but who's going to eat Twoleg fresh-kill?! |

DawnClan Camp Close to the heart of the pinewoods, DawnClan shelter in the old stone ruins which they claim as their camp. Stonewalls used to stand here, but have since fallen and become entangled with vines and moss. Though some cats think it was some sort of old Twoleg structure, they're willing to still live here; it's been at least an era since even a stale Twoleg scent was detected in the area. The clan leader addresses the clan from a tall stump; cut clean by a Twoleg many, many moons ago. The inside of the stump has fallen away, once eaten by maggots and termites. Queens and their kits settle fondly in the makeshift dens of stone, while the elders sleep in a hollow log. Warriors make due in shallow, dug out beds just under individual thorn bushes. While apprentices sleep on beds of moss below a low lying pine branch. A small wall of stone, half fallen, blocks off the wind and rain. The DawnClan leader resides in a fissured rock, with moss and lichen draping just over the entrance. Deep inside, a comfortable moss bed covered in down waits. The medicine cat and their apprentice share a hollow log, much like the elders'. Herbs are gathered at the farthest end, which has fallen just beside a large gray stone. Fresh-kill is gathered by a broken stone. Warriors and apprentices eat their share in their dens, as do the rest. |

Dense Pines Where the trees grow thickest, Twolegs have set up a treecut place. They've put up some type of silvery web, and each time they cut down a tree, they plant one back; and cut that one back down next greenleaf. Strange Twolegs. Aside from that, kittypets and rouges often wander around this part of DawnClan's territory. Though prey is rather scarce around these parts, because of the strong smell of something fishy, it still seems to be a hotspot for loners. However, where the pines start to fan out, and the needles cover the ground, is where DawnClan truly calls home. They're silent, and stealthy, and used to dashing around tree trunks for a frantic squirrel. Even where the pines begin to mix with other trees, like oaks, DawnClan hunts. Though, where the trees are too mixed, and the scent of DuskClan cats lingers...it is no longer apart of DawnClan. |

Narrow Clearing The border between MoonClan and DawnClan is a lush, green path once used by Twolegs. Though, they don't frequent the place anymore-their kits come in the warmer seasons to play-cats are still wary. During greenleaf, the flowers and other such beautiful plants, make the clear green path smell wonderful. Prey is also plentiful here. Rabbits, squirrels, birds, and mice all frequent the short blades and rummage for seeds. It's also not uncommon to see strange animals; with big brow pelts and sharp pointy spikes on their head. They nibble at the grass, and sometimes even rub their spikes on the tree bark! But, they don't really ever do anything to curious cats. |

Mixed Trees When the oaks and pines start to mingle, marks the end of DawnClan and the beginning of DuskClan. Though they've come to an agreement on equal usage of the mixed area, it's still sometimes hard to tell where one boundary ends and the other beings. Different types of prey live here, and in leafbare, the area is still prey-plenty. Anything from mice to robins peck around the fallen leaves and needles for seeds. |

Fourstones [ Gathering Place ] Each territory meets here. The boundary waters from DuskClan and SunClan run here from an outer source, but the Border Streams puddle in the center of a small clearing surrounded by maples, oaks, and pines. The pond is rather large, with four sets of large stepping-stones leading toward the center; where one large stone juts upward. The leaders from each clan can stand comfortably here, and address the others from the Calling Rock each full moon. So far, there haven't been any major disagreements resulting in sudden clan rivalries, but it's still a while before the next gathering; so no cat really knows for sure what lies ahead. Except perhaps, StarClan. But they're not much help in the affair of individual clans. |

Deepstones [ Moonpool ] Medicine cats and their apprentices, and deputies becoming leaders visit the Moonpool at the bottom of Deepstones. Out across DawnClan's territory, and past the treecut place, lie the mysterious stones of StarClan's sacred territory. Here cats can share tongues and dreams with their starry ancestors. It's a long trek, and deputies are forbidden to eat on the way. The journey can take from sunhigh to moonhigh, but it's well worth it to hear what StarClan has to say. Leaving the forest is the easy part, getting down to the Moonpool isn't. The rock face of DeepStones is steep and jagged, and it crumbles easily. But, once a cat has made it to the bottom, where the smooth stone levels out, it's time to visit the pool. Carved out of the smooth surface of the stone, is a crystal-clear pool about three tail lengths long and wide. Any cat to drink from the pool and sleep will share dreams with StarClan and learn of things for their clan. Getting out is rather easy. A gap, hidden by brambles, leads the way out; but one isn't permitted to enter this way. |

Treecut Place Situated in the depths of the pinewoods, it marks the outlying border for DawnClan. Twolegs still use the place during greenleaf to cut up trees, but they're always replanting more than they tear down. There's a wiry web stuck around posts to keep the Twoleg's dogs out of the forest, and there's always kittypets roaming around from the Twoleg nest behind the treecutters. DawnClan doesn't visit this area of the woods, unless the need for prey is great; but this is usually the first place that prey begins to leave in leafbare. Rouges, loners, and kittypets lurk around this place, and eat the pellets that the Twolegs set out for them—though, a few brave ones hunt in the trees of the forest cats. |

Twoleg Place Several kittypets and loners hang about the Twoleg gardens here. The nests are few, but it's still dangerous nonetheless. Especially with the threat of rouges and dogs... Twoleg Place is nestled firmly behind the treecutters, and a frequently used thunderpath lays just a few paces away. Not many forest cats would offer to come here, but it's a must on the way to Deepstones. |

Ancient Distances In an area far apart from the cats of the forest, resides an area where cats no longer hunt... Distances away from the warrior code and a thousand breaths away from StarClan... A starlit meadow, glowing with fireflies, opens from the depths of a forest; overflowing with darkness. Prey-scent is strong, and the promise of success is in the air. A single, narrow stream bubbles over a hill...and disappears into the night; where the shallow sounds of waves-on-stone is the only thing to dull the crickets... And so the land was claimed by Lucifer.. In this very spot, which is now the meeting place. |

Echo Cascade The Echo Cascade is a large waterfall that comes from the territories far beyond the Beyond’s Edge. Some cats even say it comes from the edge of the world. It is not a prime place for hunting, seeing as you may end up falling over the edge of the waterfall and meet your doom at the rocks amongst the bottom. The river does continue going north after the drop, it goes north but not directly towards the clans. The clans, simply have a little tributary that empties out from the main river, which is far more wild. The spot does have the uphill advantage from invaders though, and may prove help full in battle. At the bottom of the waterfall, besides the rocks, there is a cave. The cave is both a sacred and dangerous place among the cats, and very few seek refuge there. |

Lost Whisper's Forest At the bottom of the Echo Cascade, where many of cats have met their demise , there is a mouth of a cave. Though normally hidden by a sheet of foaming water, it is visible at times of drought. It is very dangerous even trying to get to the cave, for you have to walk a narrow path across the rock face, but some go to it anyway, even living there. Stalactites and stalagmites hang from the ceiling and protrude from the cave floors, making it hard to be aware of your surroundings. Many an ambush had taken place there in the past, and maybe many still will happen. There are some spots though, where cats may climb up and find sleeping spots among places where the wall hollows out. The cave extends farther back though, much farther back. At the very back of the cave, there is a tunnel that was carved by an ancient stream that has long since dried up. If you were to travel up that tunnel, it would open up into a forest. This forest though, is not any of the forest near the clans. This is the Forest of Whispers, as is the cave Lost Whispers. A prime spot for hunting this is where cats normally come to hunt. |

Eternity Road No where, is untouched by humans. Not even the places of the Ancient-Distance. It is fewer here though, the only real place where danger is eminent is here. It is a small Thunderpath, made of dirt. Monsters still go by here, very frequently in fact. A cat must be careful if they choose to hunt here though, because if you take you mind of the monsters speeding by, you can end up dead. Though, the road does have it perks. Not only a nice hunting place, it is the only guarantee road to the clans. Spies naturally travel down this road, and for the most part they are the only ones. They are the most familiar with the road, and find themselves more at home with the road than most. This, is an essential part of a Trainee Spy’s training, for they must travel down this road many time before they become an official spy. Even a normal Trainee must travel down here at least once or twice. |

Beyond's Edge This is the south most edge of the territory. No branch nor tree beyond the cliff belongs to the cats of the Ancient-Distance. It is nothing more than a forest that abruptly ends at a cliff. There is nothing more though, than a cat of the Ancient-Distance fears though, than what lies beyond those cliffs. That is where Lucifer came from though, where the original clans of ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan lie. Not many cats dare journey to The forest of the Beyond to hunt normally, but it is a good place to pick up new members, who come more naturally from the south than the north. It is known as the Beyond’s Edge because the cats think that it belongs more the Beyond than them, and is the edge of their territory. But every cat must know what lies beyond there territory, for the Test of Survival is held there. The cats must journey down the cliff, and be sent to a specific area, and are expected to survive for a moon there, and normally a smaller margin of the cats that journey there pass the test. |
