Name: Aja

Appearance: Aja is of petite build, but with a strong frame. Her tail is long, with one black streak running down the middle. Fairly large paws, and when she was younger she was incredibly clumsy. However, this has changed. Light underneath, with an unusually round circle placed in the center.

She has long, sharp claws, and an agile nature, as most felines do. An intelligent gleam in her eye, as well as a spark of wisdom that no lion with an easy life would have. A fairly small mouth, though that does not mean she can roar. Not as loudly as some, but still threatening all the same.

She is not weak nor pathetic, but uses her appearance to her advantage. She looks small, weak, young, inexperienced, clumsy and foolish, but whoever assumes that has never looked into her large amber eyes, with their years of knowledge and pain. To underestimate her is what many do, and Aja is smart enough to know that is a good thing.

Round ears, but one with the edge missing, giving a lopsided feel. Large, amber eyes, and a small, pink nose. Her whole body is streaked with faded gold, amber and the odd tinge of red, and a silver sheen to top it all.

Personality: Aja remains in the group of neither Light nor Darq, knowing not what to choose. She is a strong fighter, with a bubbly, cheerful attitude. She wants to do the best she can for her pride. However, she is prone to getting jealous, but that is easily soothed with a moment's attention.

She is rough but peace-loving, prefers groups to solitude, and positively blossoms with attention and love. She is caring, with never-ending love and easily showers others with it. An infectious case of joy, which she plants where-ever she can. Throughout all this, there is still a slight wariness that cannot be banished, and a great sadness.

If you were to encounter Aja in battle, you had best leave. She feels that the world has caused her deep suffering, and so vows revenge on enemies. Like the lions that caused the seperation from her family, the death of her sister and her life to become a troublesome bother. Though she hides all this well, there is a part of her that wishes she could spill all her secrets.

Though one who just sees her will not think she is troubled, she is. She had suffered much in her short lifetime, but still grasps the good side. She considers the glass 'half full' most of the time, until she reflects on her past and stops to wonder. But that does not mean her heart of gold will not cease to spread it's power.

History: Once upon a time, three cubs were born. A day passed, and one of the cubs couldn't make it. The other two carried on, thriving under their mother's watchful eye. One was boisterous and exitable, the other quiet and calm. Aja would bound about, merry and loud, while her sister, Dano, was quiet, keeping to herself.

Aja had many good times. Since her sister was not as much trouble as her, she got the more attention. But it went wrong when her father died, and another took over the role of lead. He did not approve of them, for they were not his. They were banished from the pride, left to wander until they could thrive somewhere else.

Tough times lay ahead for the two, and they struggled to survive. Newcomers were not welcomed by some prides, and they were chased away with snarls, threats and wounds. Dano always wondered if they would survive, for she was more of the pessimist, while Aja was the opposite. They almost died from something or the other, but pulled through.

Through it all, Aja stayed happy. Times were hard and food was scarce on the windswept prarie, but she stayed glad. Always on the good side, was Aja. Unfortunately, her sister died of starvation. That opened Aja's eyes to the real dangers in the world. She has never lost her fun-loving streak, but after experiencing death, she has never been quite the same.
