Well how does yours?

My parents (espeacially my dad ) think i'm very inmature for liking Manga/Anime, and he makes a point about saying it everytime i mention it. eg, "What the hells this crap?!" "You didn't honestly waste your money on this rubbish did you?!" Of course when i tell him to stop it he tells me to shut up, (Then again i was under the inpression that "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it" rule he keeps going on about. ~_~

It hard also talking to them about uni (I'm interested in taking animation/illustration/writing) snd they just tell me im going to waste my life @_@

why do parents aways bring up things about money and debts when u have a agument hey ?? i never get them and moan say u should be more independant and when u make disisions they say ahh why did u do that @_@ they confuse the hell out of me

Yeah! money is a big issue at home, i do mini jobs and get paid for it but even when i was working weekends they weren't happy with me beacause i wasn't working enough and theywanted me to do in the week too! but when am i surposed to do my hwk?! *whines*

If I say anything about it all my family ignore me

Even my brother! Infact If I say to him:
"Hey Sean"
He would say:
"Is it to do with Final Fantasy or that type of sh*t?"
I would replay:
"Well sort of."
He would walk off:
"not interested."

Ahhhhhhh. My famly has now taken to call me an anorak whatever that is! My mum tells me it is someone who has a nerdy obsession. Ahhhhhhhhh! My family just rolls there eyes and sighs when they see what I have bought.

My brother likes anime, so he doesn't mind borrowing some of my DVDs/videos of the various ones I have. Same goes for my other half brother who lives in Kidderminster. But he has some manga books, too.

My mum doesn't quite understand it, but she's not bothered by it - I think she watched Spirited Away once out of curiousity and liked it.

My dad has no idea what it is. Don't live with him, so he's not been introduced to it as much as my mum.

My mum's boyfriend isn't interested in it at all. He sees it as a cartoon, which he isn't very fond of.

Lol yeah i think half my dad's problem is that it's drawn, which therefore means it's childish, completely ignoring the 15 cetifercate its been given XD.

I'm a beige anorak with stone and khaki stripes according to my mum XD

She doesn't really know what it is though to be honest ;
She said that she doesn't want to either cuz she read some at a memorabilia show once to see what it was and it turned out to be porn (typical XD) so she says just so long as she doesn't have to see it she's perfectly content ignoring it. XD
She doesn't like anime though cuz she whines about the voices.

Tony's just an ass in general, he completely trashes everything I like so I don't think it's specific to manga as such. He also does it with FF and Iron Maiden...He's walking on thin ice especially with the latter. XD
My mum really takes the piss of that too though...I don't think there's many who don't. XD

As for my dad he doesn't care cuz he doesn't listen to me anyway.
I'd start off about Maiden or Manga and he always manages to bring it back to either tanks or his new and improved kids with his new and improved wife; better ingredients = a better product, you see?

I don't speak to his wife so I can't comment. The only involvment I have with her is trying to find her stash. XD

Mum, dad and Shell think its stupid, but they don't say anything. Well, Dad did about Dragon Ball Z, but I don't really blame him. Looking back on it, its not a top quality anime!

Mum bought me a manga for christmas... Chobits, which I don't mind, but it was no. 3 in the series.

I don't have that much anime, The Evangelion collection and the DVDs, Macross Plus, Robotech: Macross Saga /1 and Street Fighter Alpha.

When my dad came home from work some time ago he had bought Chobits Volume 2 for me! (I had just bought volume 1) Infact my Dad is probably the best about it.
One day I was playing my Final Fantasy 9 OST and he asked what it was becuase he liked it! When I told him it was Final Fantasy he said he was just being nice! lol

lmao that's just typical of parents though XD my dad likes final fantasy the Spirits Within but as soon as he found out it was made by the same people who made the games he said it wasn't good after all

(though i caught him watching it a few months ago XD)

My mum's actually fine about it (it's like, the only thing shes fine about) but then again she used to like pokemon when it aired in hong kong... *no comment*
