I am more bored than usual today so I figured I would type up something to help others that would like to RP or start to RP. I have read a lot of the Warcraft Lore from day one, yeah I’m a nerd, but I do enjoy the story a great deal. What I am basically providing here is a brief history of super powers in the warcraft world. I’ll start with what is believed to be the most power of beings and work my way down. Of course this is just how I perceive these beings I could be wrong about some stuff, but we’ll see. Keep in mind that all of this information is coming from books I’ve read and other various Blizzard employees and things. I’m typing this all from my mind as well so correct some facts if you know them to be wrong, thank you.
Not by any means complete, but I’m still working on it. I will add more later, when I have time. Hope at least someone takes an interest in this… Order of Super Powers: Elune: The Moon Goddess/Earth Mother(ultimate in face melting); Currently she is the only real deity in the lore. The reason I say “real deity” is because she has never taken any sort of physical form. She has however helped and affected the outcome of some battles. She is mainly the goddess that the Night Elves worship however the Tauren have a name for her as well though I can’t remember what it is at this time. Elune is currently believed to be the most powerful being. The Titans: The titans or the planet creators; these are essentially gods as far as anyone else in the lore is concerned. Their vast power allows them to bring order to planets and races. It’s difficult to say who is more powerful Elune or the titans because no one really knows who came first or any other specifics. There are titans that do have names and supposedly they are made of different sorts of metal. The Titans are also ruled by a group of elite titans called The Pantheon. Supposedly there is a statue somewhere in Azeroth that is of a Titan. Specifically the one that is responsible for what would later become dwarves. I think this is supposed to be the statue that stands at the front of Ironforge, but I could be wrong about that. Sargeras: At one time believed to be the most powerful of The Titans. He started off as a warrior elected by the Pantheon to defend against demonic forces that were taking over the Titan’s newly formed worlds. This metallic god went from world to world bending and destroying its demonic invaders as he saw fit and for the greater good. Sargeras fell into a great depression that worsened with every one of his battles. He could not understand why there were races so bent on destruction and feared that the battle would never end. It was this depression that consumed him and turned him to the evil we know today. He soon convinced himself that it was his very race that was responsible for the demons and he turned on his brethren. The Old Gods: These were the race of beings that originally inhabited Azeroth when the Titans came upon it. They were worshipped by the elementals, which were defeated when the Titans came through. There are many cults and such that still worship the old gods, which are said to still live deep inside the earth. Kil’Jaeden: Sargeras’s first picked general from the vile race known as the Eredar. Kil’Jaeden is Sargeras’s right hand. He was sent to enslave races all over the universe to help create the ultimate army for his Lord. With Sargeras pretty much defeated in one way or another and Archimonde destroyed, Kil’Jaeden may be the most powerful being alive right now aside from the Lich King. However I do believe with no one to lead the dark armies Kil’kaeden may have gained some power. Illidan is currently believed to be in hiding after failing his task of destroying the Lich King. This task was given to him by Kil’Jaeden. Lich King: The Lich King was created when Kil'Jaeden brought Ner'zul(I think that's who it was, can't remember) Back from the Abyss(where you go when you're evil and dead). Kil'Jaeden believed that Ner'zul would still be useful to him so he brought him back and trapped him in an ice prison in Northrend. Behind Kil'Jaeden's back the Lich King enslaved Arthas and once devout paladine student. Once he made Arthas his, he brought him to his icy prison. Arthas climbed the staircase and placed the crown of the Lich King upon his head. This action made Arthas and the Lich King one. Ner'zul had a body again and now seeks to get his revenge on Kil'Jaedin. It may not have been Ner'zul that is the Lich King, if it isn't please let me know and I will correct this. Archimonde: Saegeras’s second picked general from the vile race known as the Eredar. Archimonde was also tasked with building an army. It was Archimonde that is responsible for the enslavement and bloodrage of the orcs. Archimonde was destroyed by the great alliance of Humans(various other races included), Night Elves, and Orcs. Ragnaros: The Fire Lord and first lieutenant of the Old Gods. Ragnaros is the living flame and stood against the coming of the titans. He lives in the deepest area of Molten Core beneath Black Rock Spire. Therazane: The Stone Mother and second lieutenant of the Old Gods. Therazane is the living stone and earth themselves. Just like Ragnaros is for fire. Not currently known where she is, but this might be the one that was killed at The Master’s Glaive in Darkshore. I’m not sure about that. Also possible that this is the one that is summond too soon when you do the "Summoning The Princess" quest in Arathi. Also not sure about that. Al'Akir: The Wind Lord and third lieutenant of the Old Gods. Lord of the winds of Azeroth. Location is currently unknown. Neptulon: The Tide Hunter and forth lieutenant of the Old Gods. Lord of the waters of Azeroth. I believe this guy is connected with Duke Hydraxis, but I’m not sure. Mannoroth: Leader of the Pit Lords. Another vile demon race that Archimonde thought would make a great addition to Sargeras’s army. It was Mannoroth’s blood that caused the Orcs to go into their bloodrage state and turn from their nomadic almost peaceful ways. Mannoroth also sent the Orcs through the dark portal. He was killed by Grom Hellscream who is credited with the freeing of the orcs along with Thrall. -------------------- ![]() "A little bit better than suck is still suck." |
