Oh boy, that made me laugh really hard biggrin.gif . Seriously though CoH and WG don't need a cooldown, coming from a shaman I think that means something. CoH hits a lot of targets and is quick, WG is overtime and great for something like Malygos's vortex ability. Chain Heal hits much harder than either of the 2 and has a cast time to compensate, I actually feel they're in balance right now. Everything could use a little bit more tweaking but really nothing as severe as a 6 second CD is necessary.

Just my 2cents.

There's just no reason not to spam CoH right now. It doesn't matter that it doesn't hit as hard as Chain Heal, even if it hits a third as hard as the fist tick of Chain Heal you're already at over twice the HPS of Chain Heal in a group situation. (Also, don't forget the the same haste gear that makes CH faster also makes instants faster by lowering caster GCD.)

Chain Heal - cast time, 3 targets, diminishing effects

Wild Growth - no cast time, 5 targets, slow effect HoT

Circle of Healing - no cast time, 5 targets, no diminished effect or slow HoT

I can't find the post either but Ghostcrawler basically said that you don't take the wobble out of the chair by making the other 3 legs longer, you cut the long leg. And remember, they're not going to just slap a cooldown on these and be done. There are going to be changes made to both these spells and others as well as possible changes to the encounters to bring the steadily growing AoE damage back in line (which will in turn make things better for Paladin healers). Since there's a lot of the Holy Tree dedicated to CoH spam healing I can see more holy priests going disc unless the trees change as well.

As for WG, well, maybe a short cooldown won't kill it but I'm of the opinion that it's more-or-less fine as it is and it's the druids using it as their only/main heal that are cause for the nerf. They may not have been as agressive about it in the past but Blizz is really showing now that they don't want any class to be a "one button class."

The rumor mill is looking for these and other changes to be pushed to the PTR in a week or less so look there for your answers.
