So here's the question: Do the writers really have any idea why/how Jared is even involved in this storyline? Given the fact that he's been unable to explain what he's been up to at every opportunity, it makes me wonder if he's ever going to explain it before he's killed off. I'm beginning to think not at this point; it will make the writers' jobs a hell of a lot easier to just kill him off before he has to explain what the fuck they think they've been writing for the past month.

Greg, Greg, I don't know if you understand the scope of this clusterfuck. Let's do a little timeline:

Last Spring: Ok, let's do this Rex's father thing. We wanted to before but they had the writer's strike, blah blah blah (INSERT EXCUSE HERE)
Ok, great, we've filmed...Roxy is talking to this empty bed...it's all set
Wait! There's a problem! Roscoe B. is not on board. He laughed for 20 minutes when he heard our offer. It's gonna be a while before we can get him...

Summer: Um, still no Roscoe, what to do? Let's think of alternatives for someone to be Rex's father!
Writer A: Let's have it be Viki. She was actually a man once and forgot, you know..cause of the alters

Writer B: Let's have Brody travel back to the early 1980's and be Rex's father...

Writer C: Let's have it be Spencer Vickers, David's brother
Writer D: Um, you want to resurrect a character no one gives a fuck about, and also piss off Tuc Watkins, the best thing on the show now, because he will be reminded about how he was treated like crap so Spencer could get all of the air time? Plus, in Rex's little Millionaire Dream sequence with Ty Treadway, Spencer was not a possibility as his father....
Writer E: Um, we don't pay attention to plot from one weak to the next. We should care about one dream sequence?
Ron C.: Oh, let's just forget about it now. Obviously this Stacy/Rex thing is the best we've ever done, the audience will be enthralled with that...

Late summer: Hmm, Guiding Light is over...Think it would be a good idea to get Gina Tognoni back to the show? She's won 2 Emmies and has a fan following

Frons: Only if she will work for minimum wage and bus fare. We've got more important performers, Easton, Kim & Stacy, Bordy to think about...

Early fall: Ok, maybe we have a shot of getting Gina T. And Roscoe Borne said maybe he'd come back for a limited, limited run but, um, we have no money to pay them...

Frons: Well, let's cut the fat here...Slezak? Strasser? Hillary B. Smith? Just so we keep Kim & Stacy, we're good...
Ron C.: Well we did get a few insane letters from Natalie and Easton fans
Frons: That Brotherton gets on my nerves. Who the hell does he think he is, acting and all that stuff. Get rid of him!
Writer A: But, um, why would this happen?
Ron C: You know Mitch can return, it can be a big mystery, he can scare the fuck out of Jessica with the dead Nash bullshit (meanwhile the actor who plays Nash is on another soap and primetime...)

Needless to say, they are already painted Mitch as Stalin II. Viki says in the promo, "You belong in hell.." Yep, that's great for long-term character viability. There is zero rhyme or reason to this whole thing. On Friday's brilliant show, Nash's body was dug up...and why would that be when Jessica is in California anyway?

The whole thing is 11th hour contrived bullshit..starting right from the moment Jared was attacked from behind but KNEW who the guy was...but still rushed over to the hospital and bleeding all over...when he could have done it, oh I don't know, in a place without 8 million security cameras? Huge, huge mess.

I assume that Mitch, among his many other powers, dug up Nash and transported his body to CA.

Speaking of Forbes March (I think that was his name), what primetime show is he now on? That was one of the dumbest moves ever to kill Nash off --- right next to killing off Jared. Finding actors who are talented, likable AND have chemistry with their costars is damn hard to do, and these fools at ABC had it and then kill it with their self-destructive, lack of talent tendencies.

From what I've read, FM is supposed to be in a tv movie of the Degrassi series. Not exactly his own seies but more primetime than most others get.
