- All of the humans will be Irish, the fairies American.
- Cameron Diaz is not playing Holly.
- Winona Ryder is not playing Holly either.

So, who do you think should play Artemis? What about Holly? And the others? Who have you heard might be involved?

And (believe it or not) it's Carmane....xD OR Beth, or Bethica or Bev, Jeff or whatever other stupid names people have tohught up for me...I mean Jeff...honestly. That was a new one today, courtesy of Hinman who I end up talking to for four hours a day on Wednesdays because of the seating plans in my lessons...
But back onto the movie. This'll probabaly be spam less I post something about the movies so I'll go try find out who it is... It might be old news. I thought the movie idea was off....But if you say it's not^^ I shall get to wittness Colfers beautiful work being ripped to shreads by the actors. And the plot-lines will be all twisted and...ergh.
Why ALL American? What the hell is wrong with English actors?! -sulks- 'least they got the Irish thing right... Rambling again...

Oh, you mean, Timothy Olyphant? I'm not so sure about this rumour. I know he's listed on IMDb but anyone with an account can update that. All I've found are a few sites saying he was "in talks" for a part in the movie. So unless the info was put up by his agent or something, it's probably not true...

It's definitely still on. I got to ask Colfer about it when I went to a signing in June and he said the script was being worked on, and Matt has heard from the scriptwriter who says he should be finished in two months. So things are happening!

Great! Matt heard form the scriptwriter? Hmm, how? Not too informed about this stuff, have only become SERIOUSLY obccessed after reading Opal Deception.... -sniff- Root...But anyway. I'm learning how to use Dreamweaver in ICT and I'm pretty good with it already so this weekend I'm going to shove all homework aside and have a go at creating my own Artemis Fowl site (something I've wanted to do for a while....xD) somewhere to put my fics, fanart (when I get the scanner) and just update people on whats happening really...

PS. Isn't 'Olyphant' the name of the big elepant type things in Lord of the Rings? xD

On a more depressing note I've heard a rumour that Hilary Duff will be playing Juliet...
I think the sentence is self explanitory.

Actually Timothy Olyphant looks quite a lot how I imagine Foaly. *shrugs* But in the end, as long as whoever they pick can act, I shan't mind if they don't look how I want... Because it's unlikely the whole cast is going to.

From what I can work out, the scriptwriter found Matt's site and got in touch. I'm not sure, he hasn't really said that much about it.

A lot of the "rumours" are really just wishful thinking. Although why anyone would want Hilary Duff to play Juliet, I've no idea...

I'm a big Hilary Duff fan, I'm even in her fanclub (I payed 40 dollors to be in it) and I usually know what movies she is in. She won't be Juliet, I am sure. IMDb had Jason Statham (from Cellular) listed as Butler, but now he isn't. I hope Statham is because he is how I pictured Butler

Well, as far as we know they haven't started casting yet, so it's not like they haven't definitely said these people won't ever, ever be in it... they just haven't been cast, so far. If you get what I mean.

I do like a couple of Hilary Duff's songs but I must admit, I'm not really a fan of her acting work. Not that I've seen that much of it...

Yeah, I hope Hilary doesn't play juliet only because she doesn't seem like the juliet type

From the very small amount of Lizzie McGuire that I've seen, I imagine that she could do the "ditzy, hyper teenager" part quite well. But the sophisticated butt-kicker? Probably not. :/ So I would prefer to see someone else in the role. (Someone Irish, really.)

Actually I wouldn't mind Lindsay Lohan. I used to think she was just one of those "teen queens" who's not actually good at anything, but then I heard some of her songs and liked them, so I thought I might as well watch some of her movies - and now I think she's actually a good actress. This especially shows up in "Parent Trap" and "Freaky Friday", where she effectively has to play two roles in the same movie. I don't really think of her as a Holly-type person but I'm sure she could pull it off.

Mulch I imagined to have a head so different from normal humans that I think they'd only be able to do my vision of Mulch through CGI, mainly because I imagined his lower jaw to be very big and wide - so nothing at all like Dobby! XD; I can't think of a real person he even vaguely looks like either.

Yeah, when they were younger, Dan or Liam might've been good - but they probably are too old now. Skandar Keynes, from Narnia, is still only 13 but he possibly looks too "cute" to be convincing as a criminal mastermind... And I guess he's off filming a sequel now or whatever.

An unknown probably would be best. Especially as the only reason you'd cast an unknown is because they can act - they don't have hordes of screaming fangirls to support their films. (Although I'm sure Arty will gain those within a week! )

Ohh, yeah, I saw Finding Neverland... He seemed really good in it. Somehow though he just doesn't look like how I imagine Artemis. Again, just looking at him, I don't exactly think "criminal genius". But he is a good actor. And he's still 13 - although not for that long.

Hmm, I wish I knew of an actor database that let you search by age/hair colour/eye colour... I can never think of people's names!

Yeah, I know who Delta Goodrem is - I like some of her songs. Got her first album, in fact. I've never really seen her act though as I don't watch Neighbours so I don't know what she's like. I think she might be a bit old for Juliet too and I'm not sure she'd be quite right for Holly. :3 Hmm.

Oh! I saw an advert today for this thing called "Maddigan's Quest" and there's this boy in it called Zac Fox... I don't know how old he is but he looks about the right age. I'll have to see what he's like in that show though. (I think it comes from Down Under. Maybe you've seen it already?)

Hmm... I clicked on the link and saw some pics of Zac Fox; yeah, I think he could play Artemis. But what country is he from? No, I haven't even heard of the show until reading this. Maybe it is on pay-TV in Australia, I only have normal TV.

Is he a good actor?

I think he's English. He has an English accent in the show anyway... I've only seen one episode so far so I haven't really seen him do much acting, but he seems at least reasonably competent!

Also, the main character from the show is played by a blonde girl who looks a lot like how I imagine Juliet. She's called Rose McIver. Unfortunately there don't seem to be many pictures of her about, so I had to screenshot a few from the trailer on the Maddigan's Quest website - so they're not brilliant quality. (Image 1, Image 2, Image 3) But she's not English, she's... umm... Well, I'm a horrible English person, I can't tell the difference between Aussie and Kiwi accents. :/
