So I've been meaning to write a review of Dark Souls, but because I've had less than enough time to play it that much, it'll take me forever before I finish the game, so here's my review for it.

Buy the game.

The entire concept of this game sounds badass and all, and all the reviews say it's epic, and I really dig the whole dark medieval fantasy vibe that its graphics give off, but yet every time I actually see the gameplay videos the combat just looks so incredibly... dull. :/ By the looks of it the game has little to no towns and character dialogue, so if I'm just going to spend my entire time hacking and slashing through the game, the combat better damn well be entertaining, but instead it just looks really sluggish and repetitive.

THANK YOU! Im not the only one!
I actually played this though at a friend house. It's just as tedious as Monster Hunter if you ever played that, or really let me just say it's very tedious and this is what the games fans consider difficulty. If you have patience and your not a spaz, this game is retarded easy.

From what I heard its all about analyzing your enemy and knowing what your strengths and weaknesses are with your weapon. Also knowing when the hell to run for your life. laugh.gif

I was the same way when I first saw Demon's Souls, it wasn't until actually playing the game did I fall in love with it. It's one of those games that you need to play to find out it's fun. It was the same way with Little Big Planet, and I had to convince myself it would be a good first purchase when I got my PS3; and it was.

There is a town in the game - Blighttown, but it's by no means a friendly welcoming place. There is some minor dialogue bits between characters and some changes depending if you kill an NPC or not. For instance, I helped out an NPC in one location, only to come back later to find out he killed the person who upgrades my Estus Flask (healing item) and now I can't rest at the shrine. If only I killed that bastard before it was too late. Oh well, soon enough, I'll get my revenge.

I'm curious as to how far you got into the game. Yes, most of the common enemies are rather easy, but if you consider powerful black armored knights that have big ass bows that shoot SPEARS at you in Anor Londo a pushover, I suggest yourself checked out. Fuck, I don't even want to get started on how unfair the Valley of Drakes is.

I get B's in english, but yes I suck at spelling that's no secret, According to my teacher the short story I wrote at the start of the year was A material if I didn't make lots of gammer and spelling mistakes.

The last Assignment we had was an oral performance a loose retelling of theme in macbeth, I did warhammer macbeth, me and lint got up and had a fake warhammer match with the Avatar of Macbain and I made up special rules like Ducan had Double trust, Got a B for it

Even a passing resemblance to Monster Hunter turns me off. I've a got a half-dozen other video games that warrant me investing in them, and I'm way too broke to invest in those, either.

That was utterly heart-wrenching. You totally convinced me to buy the game, even though I don't even have a PS3 to play it. I'm just in awe. You, my love, are amazing. wub.gif
