So I'm going to get my steering wheel retrimmed by this fella:

And it looks like this:

What do you think: OEM style, OR plain leather (no perforations) with red stitching, OR black alcantara with red stitching?

Whaddya think?

I'd go for alcantara, I love the stuff nearly as much as carbon fibre.

I'd be really interested in this too. As the steering wheel on the Wagon, bits are flaking off
What is the pricing like?

What is the pricing like?

£105 for 'normal' leathers, £130 for alcantara. You either send your own wheel off to them (approx a fortnight) or they send you a pre trimmed wheel (and you send back your worn one) if you lob them a £100 deposit. I THINK I read that the guy works for BMW and does these in his own time. The leather is supposedly the same that Bentley use too.
Might seem like a lot of money but I figure this is your only direct sensory connection to your car and I'd kinda like it right.

I too would go for alcantara. However I know you want to keep this car oem, so it HAS to be stock IMO.

I know it's a bit pikey, but have you considered trying a bit of shoe polish on the wheel if the surface has worn down a bit?
