Seen any good stuff lately? Ive been watching Macross Frontier on DVD and am starting to watch Lexx Series 1 as Lovefilm is sending the disks gradually my way. Mainly so that I can get to Season 3 and perv on Xenia Seeberg... she was HOT in 1998.

EDIT: Can a mod put TV in brackets in the title so as to distinguish this thread more from the film one please? smile.gif

I've just watched series 1 & 2 of The Office and series 1 & 2 of Extras on DVD.

Gotta love a bit of Gervais/Merchant smile.gif

Any suggestions/recommendations as to what TV-comedy I ought to buy?

I've already got:

Blackadder box set
Alan Partridge 1 & 2
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Black Books box set
Mighty Boosh box set
The I.T Crowd box set
Catterick
Bottom 1 & 2
Not The Nine o-clock News
The Day Today
The Royle Family
The Inbetweeners
Look Around You 1 & 2
The Office 1 & 2
Extras 1 & 2

Anything else I should try?

'Episodes' is quite good despite having that bloke in that murdered Dirk Gently. And I know some people hate it but I love 'The Big Bang Theory'. Has me in stitches. Also, have you seen 'The Ricky Gervais Show'? Like cartoons of his podcasts with Merchant and Karl Pilkington. Hilarious.

Thanks trace! Yeah I love big bang theory too! Only because I see a bit of myself in the characters though (albeit a much less intelligent bit!)
Gotta say though... Is it ok to be racist towards Indian people in the US? BBT goes very near the knuckle sometimes, as does stuff like =3.

Oh yes, and you could always watch the hundred and thirty something episodes of the above on YouTube if you're bored. Ray William Johnson always cracks me up.

I watched the first couple of "Episodes" and it didn't really float my boat to be honest.

A couple of other people have recommended TBBT to me, I'll have to see about ordering the box set of that, too smile.gif

Does anyone watch How TV Ruined Your Life on BBC2? I really like it, I've always quite liked Charlie Brooker but I'm really enjoying the stuff he's been doing lately. Really smart, witty, wordy (but not too overly so) observations on how television has evolved and affected/reflected real life over the years.

Watched the first episode of Generation Kill again last night after buying it off amazon the other day. Just confirmed to me what an awesome show it was. Dunno if reading the book first helped me appreciate it more too. Both come recommend to anyone with a dark sense of humour who likes military type stuff.
