Perhaps not the right section, but hey-ho. Thought this might be a decent place for the boosters to discuss their present reading material. At the minute I'm reading this:

Yet another mediocre Asda 'real life military' yarn, although I do have a slight fetish for military hardware so I always come back for more. rolleyes.gif Much along the lines of 'Vulcan 607' if you've read that. It does demonstrate what an unstoppable killing machine the Apache is, and how little chance the Taliban fighters have/had against it in Afganistan. It also explores the feelings of doubt/remorse/guilt the pilots sometimes had/have, when especially being able to see their targets so clearly as the die through the apache's advanced magnification targeting technology, and then again on a plasma screen at the debrief back at base as they review the 'gun tapes'. Interesting in places, but I've read better. 5/10

At the moment I have a stack of books I wanna get through whilst I'm Uni reading free. laugh.gif I'm currently on Communion by Whitley Strieber that Hadyn lent to me. After that its Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, then The Host by Stephanie Meyer, then a Langston Hughes poetry book, then My Boring Ass Life by Kevin Smith. I'll give my opinions when I've finished them all smile.gif

I finished Kevin Smith's auto-biog when on holiday and it was pretty cool I have to say once I got past exactly how candid it was (I really don't need to know what time the dude goes for a dump.......). Gave me a good few chuckles and it was nice to learn what happened to Jay after he went drug-mad.

I also read 'The Liar' by Stephen Fry and it made me laugh a lot, it was a little pretentious but that was part of the humour so it was enjoyable.

I've just started 'The Time Travellers Wife' as I'd quite like to see the flick but hate not having read the book beforehand so laugh.gif

After that it'll be prep reading for Uni so lots of SPSS and Critical Social Psychology and other stuff smile.gif

Forrest's book is really funny, not as funny as his performance against Anderson Silva, but funny nontheless tongue.gif
