Hi mate,

As I know you've gone from an S14 to a Supra, I was wondering if you can tell me how you felt once you bought it.

Im thinking at the moment of selling my S14a soon and getting possible a R34 GTR or a Supra TT 6 speed manual by am a little hesitant.

At the moment im at a stage where im gonna regret selling my car and dont want to be think ' oh crap, I shouldnt of sold it', but then again I will own a car that Ive always wanted.

Can you offer any advice mate.

Alright Sukhy mate,

I must say 5 years ago, I was in exactly the same postion as you. I had an S14 that I'd pretty much got to how I wanted it (as you remember probably smile.gif ). I'd always wanted a Supra since I fist saw them as a kid in the 90s and the price had just fallen to an affordable price for me.
In the end I just thought "why not" and went and bought a Supra. I too thought I might slightly regret it. Once I had the Supra for more than a day (even in standard guise) any thoughts of regret evaporated.
The S14 is a great car, but the TT Supra is in a different league, performance wise, tunability and build quality. I honestly think now that if I had to sell or lose my Supra, I'd really miss it and need another one in my life. Just look at Jamie P on here, he's had a LOAD of top whack motors and yet he seems to keep his Supras the longest - there is something very special about them and most people who have TTs seem to gain a sort of emotional attachment to them too smile.gif

When you first test drive a Supra, make sure you drive it HARD. If you drive 'normally' around town etc, it just feels like a big solid, well built comfortable cruiser like a Lexus. However, plant your foot to the floor, get both blowers online and it shows you the millenium falcon type beast it really is smile.gif

Also if you keep the Supra fairly stock, you can pretty much safely drive it park it anywhere without chav.gif attention. I dont think the same could be said for a 33 or 34 GTR....

So to sum up - GO AND BUY A SUPRA YOU SIMPLY WILL NOT REGRET IT! THE END smile.gif

Hi, thanks for replying.

Ive had the S14a running over 350 bhp for about a year now and is fast and fun but feel the need to get something like a Supra. But in the back of my head as ive mentioned i feel that I will miss the SX, but then I think biigger and better things. smile.gif

I want to try and import a facelift car and will wait for the right one if its the path that I will be taking.

Thanks for your advice dude, appreciate it.

Very nice, seats look good too. I love Supras but do feel the interior lets them down a tad

Hi boosters,

Yes as Hadyn has mentioned I have put a deposit down on the supra shown above and have big plans for this over time. I think that it is a great base car to start with and cannot wait until it arrives.

Should be arriving from Japan in around 6 - 8 weeks.

Just an update guys....

Sold the S14a a couple of weeks ago and was really dissappointed that it had to go but couldn't justify keeping both cars due to lack of space. I absolutely loved this car and if I had the space, I would of kept it.

Here are the pictures from the ad....

This past Sunday I went and did a 450 mile round trip to pick up the Blue Beast and all I can say is that the car is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ohmy.gif mellow.gif ohmy.gif biggrin.gif . It is everything I imagined it would be and more. wub.gif wub.gif

Even though it was pi***ng down with rain all day, I managed to get a few snaps which I will post up later once I have found the camera. Ever since I bought the car back home, it has still been raining non stop which prevented me from cleaning the car and taking more pics.

Hopefully I will get some time soon and post more pics up.....

Stunning car that Sukhy. Thats probably the only Failside fronted Supra I've ever liked smile.gif

Got any engine bay pics? Is it full BPU - running 1.2bar boost, double decat etc?
