I'd still prefer a Capri built to that standard though over that. Call me strange, but that would be my preference.

Indeed it was, and had many common styling cues as a result. I read in interesting Autocar article in that very subject a while ago :)

I know this might cause outrage to some, but I actually prefer the styling of the mk1 Capri to the original Mustang....
