The word awesome is over used these days (and i'm as guilty as anyone) but this car is surely that. The technology, design, performance...
...and that NOISE!!! :o  :o  :boner:

Yeah... I'm not sure that price tags matter that much when you get above the 100k mark anyway. If you can seriously afford to buy, run and maintain a £100k car, you can probably afford to buy, run and maintain a £300k car...
They're cars for the rich.

It is in everything but a badge, the mk 5 Supra. I love the way they pay homage to the mk 4 with the lines and the pop up spoiler that looks like the mk 4's hoop
What does concern me is the price tag. I know Toyota (sorry Lexus :) ) try and justify it by spouting on about the R&D costs and not making a profit etc, but I think its just bullshit to give the car an exclusive edge by massively over-pricing it.
I mean the mk 4 Supra TT had comparatively the same level of engineering and technology back in 93 and they only charged £40 odd grand for it. £350k is silly money for a Toyota. Would you pay 6 grand for a Casio watch????

I think it might be something to do with the carbon body, the hand built V10 that revs to the stratosphere, the exhaustive aero and wind tunnel testing, incredible interior and a gearbox that can handle that monumental power plant.
As much as i like the Supra (and it was a marvel of it's time), te LF-A is on another planet entirely, IMHO :)
Have a pop at configuring your own

Oh yeah, and they're still losing money one (just like VAG with the Veyron) even with the price as it is :)

I just think the new GTR performs to the same level (if not more) than this car for about 300 grand less.
I know they say they're making a loss, but to me it just seems a massive price-tag just so it fits in with more 'exotic' machinery such as Lambos and Ferraris.
I think Toyota have come a long way since the days when they couldnt give away mk 4 Supras in dealerships in America and Europe

I see you point mate, but just think that it's a stunning show of engineering expertise - and it's not meant to be affordable. They'll easily shift all of them too, IMO.
Look at the price of McMerc SLR's, Carrera GT's etc. They cover a rarifed end of the market consisting of super-tech supercars. I think it has it's place in the world, tbh :)

Plus, with all this hype, I bet some are bought because we're all going on about how expensive they are. Bling tastic. Same reason Kickers were big in the 90s... :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcVHmv43f-sAutocar review with nice exhaust noises. "A very good first effort" is a bit patronising though, dont you think? Me want.
