(Posted Image) I can do most anything a man can do I can hold my liquor with the best of you Even take your money in a game of pool Yeah, I'd kick your butt if I wanted to I don't mind when people cuss in front of me Truth is I don't blush that much at anything But I still got this little girl inside of me That likes to be treated like a queen I know I don't act much like a lady But I still need to be somebody's baby Yeah you might find me making too much noise But I'm more than just one of the boys Yeah, I'm more than just one of the boys God knows I ain't ever been the clingy type Looking for a man to make it all alright But I don't mind admitting sometimes late at night Well I need someone to hold me tight - One of the Boys, Gretchen Wilson Charred limbs moved me forward, as green eyes watched the rolling land blanket out in front of me. Burnished golden, with a darker gold face, a charred maw, and a white blaze ran from underneath the thick, untameable mass of sable curls that covered the left side of my face as the breeze kicked up. Ashy hooves suddenly jumped forward; propelling my ruggid frame into a gallop that allowed my heart to sing out as I ran hard and fast. Sable banner of curls snapped in the crisp, Spring air as I ran with pride through the Savannah. I didn't care if I showed how childish I could be. Hell, if a stud had a problem with that, then I'd say "Goodbye". I wasn't going to change who I was and how I'd been raised just to please a stud who would probably drop me in a second for a younger, prettier face. Of course, I'd never considered myself "pretty" in the slightest. Even though I'd been called the "Belle" of my old herd, I was always just "One of the boys" since I rough-housed with the colts of my age so much. It ended up breaking so many hearts in the end, though, but it made me who I was today. Unstable, wild, and in every way connected to my Mustang heritage. Even if I was half Quarter Horse. The Kiger Mustang blood from my mother ran hot in my veins, and showed through my features. Charred limbs bore strips above them, like all Kiger Mustangs, and I was ruggid and tough like 'em. But I was thicker than most femme's of our kind, because of the Quarter Horse from my Da. That's the only thing I can really credit him with, though, since he wasn't much of a father figure. -FIN- |

Fired chestnut coat glinted in the sun, rolling with muscle as the brute moved. Smoke-hued flints raised above the ground, stepping back upon rock and sand. His kissers fell to release a scowl. Glints of black fell in his ebonite locks, tassels falling over his nape as if smoke over fire. A damned mare. His muscles relaxed, tense from the thought of another stag. His obvious distaste for the same s-ex had not changed, nor did he think it ever would. The two exceptions to this were Suicide and Crys, two males in his herd. In Suicide's case, Marauder had known his plenty long and trusted him. And in the case of Crys, he had to yet earn trust, but was allowed to the herd whilst Marauder was not under rule, and was also mate to Katastrophe. But since it seemed this mare was no harm, and obviously alone, the calm demeanor returned. "'Lo, Miss." He spoke in the usual slightly rasped tone, throat dry from the heat of Hatlise Savannah. He shifted his weight casually. "State your business." I found this a stupid thing to say, but like ancestors before me, I would keep to the regal appearance of an Alpha stallion. 'Damned femme better show some respect.' He thought with a slight growl, gaze locked on the golden beaut. Spring hadn't left Marauder in the best of moods. He was completely oblivious to mare's feelings. And really there was no one to blame. |

Charred, striped limbs throw themselves out in a abrupt halt as his voice reaches my dark golden grulla audda. Dancing emerald hues turned towards the brute, noting the impending scowl. I toss my dark golden tiara to free my face of the untameable curls in my face. Charred limbs shift my thick frame, as ashy hooves danced for a brief moment, before I calmed down. "Well, sir" I started, my voice was light with the Southern drawl in it, yet burdened by the bit of a French accent I'd acquired over the years. Dancing emerald hues remained on him with a scrutinizing gaze, though golden audda remained forward. "I've come here looking for a herd. Lord..?" I continue, refraining to make any brash comments about how obvious it was for a mare to look for a herd, if not with a mate. I pause at the last bit of my sentences, since I didn't know his name. You'd think that an Alpha would comply to his name, now wouldn't you? Especially if you can tell that he's the ruler by the way he carries himself. |

This mare formally aggravated me. As if the stress of war was not enough, now I had lots of mares dropping at my door step. Not that I was complaining though, some of them weren't bad looking. 'God help me...' I thought, annoyed. I didn't want to be cynical at this point. I hadn't fought in a long time, now wasn't an appropriate time to start. "Midnight Marauder, more commonly known by Marauder." I said, tone informative, but otherwise drained of emotion. Tassels flicked harshly behind me, slapping at my hocks like an always-present pest. "Well, you found a herd. We aren't exactly packed full, but nor are our winds barren from the scent of equid. Cause no disruptions, and you're welcome to join us." I said this nicely as possible, so as to make up for the lack of itroduction. |
