A harsh bark of laughter was given before I grew quiet once more. Surely she couldn't be serious? What the hell was she suggesting that I was guilty of? I can promise you I am guilty of many things, but of what charges does she through against me? Do not accuse me on false accusations Madam, for that is the very reason I am searching for my next victim. Surely you don't want to be that victim, now do you? I ignored her for the most part as I continued on my way, my expression once again blank.
"That is precisely what I am talking about. It won't matter what I say or how I say it, you always make it what you want to hear. Whether or not you believe it to be what you want to hear...While I will flat out tell you, I will manipulate your words to suit myself. I am not afraid to admit so, you on the other hand seem to deny it. And let's be honost now, shall we? If we were to be in the others place, one of us should have at least attempted to kill the other while they had that chance."

I was growing very tired of Asylum, it seemed I kept repeating myself to try and get through to her. Isn't that the definition of crazy? To repeat something over and over trying to get a different outcome? Well then you could certainly call me crazy for trying to speak with her. But a crazy person wouldn't know or say they are crazy, so therefore, how can I be crazy?

There is something we must establish, before I continue in these digressions and actions, one thing that must be made clear before we proceed. Lend me your attention, lovely, because this point is critical, and this speaker deserves an attentive audience. Sit on the edge of your seats, ladilies and ‘gents, if only for a moment.

Asylum hates you all and wishes to condemn you to hell where people like you belong.

In short, he was infuriating. Infuriating, and I hated the arse for it. He was wrong! His logic was flawed! I will not be contradicted; I will not be made a fool of, *blocked*! I refuse to believe that in these points he was accurate, no more than he was accurate in his other aims. An archer does not take up the bow, draw, and hit a pinpoint mark. Miss Miss Miss Bullseye! I think not. No more could this Sweeney character have made so drastic a change in mental capabilities in a short expanse of time. Rather, I considered him to be just as deranged as I, not susceptible to such a change as others might be, the habit of learning beyond our ability.

And I wished the habit of living was beyond his abilities.
And I wished I was beyond the habit of stupidity.

This conversation was growing insipid, my interest diverted by his attempts to make me out as a fool. With such a dreadful partaking on his part, my part was to partake in such tomfoolery. I was required by all morality within me to bring about the same demise in him, and my tongue was the axe by which the deed would be done. Hello, darling… meet the executioner.

You indicated as much.She sneered, her ethereal voice demoted to such obscenities by nature, even though it belonged nowhere but among the clouds. And you dare to suggest that you are not guilty of the same? Hah! Do not insult me so. In my place you would do the same, would you not, Sir Sweeney? His name sounded like a curse when emitted from her lips, unfit to be compatible with her perfection. Nothing was said of his remarks of battle, though her ears pinned to her skull at the unfortunate comment, and the truth held within. Peering at him thoughtfully, she thought quite decisively that she would not consider him a gentleman with a tendency to such merciful demeanor, though she refrained from saying so.

All for the sake of proving him wrong.

I hear things the way I hear them do I? I hate to sound so terribly infantile or arrogant, Lord knows I do not carry such pretentious thoughts concerning myself, but, well, isn’t that much a given? This, my friend, is plain, basic, fundamental psychology. The mind hears what you say, but it makes of that substance what it desires, nothing more and certainly nothing less. I, despite being such a superfluous character, am no exception. If ever a man claims to be unbiased, non-judgmental, and entirely just, let him drop dead. This curse I leave in my will to the world, and upon my death shall it be set into place. No man fails to stereotype. Every being on this earth is prejudiced. It is our nature, and we are capable of nothing less. So yes, I make what I want of what I hear. Who doesn’t?

I am silent, lest I repeat myself in the accusations and commit the horrors that would lie within. His great confession seems consolation to me, somehow, appeasing my wildcard rage. I am contented with a conspicuous sigh, hoarsely rasping through my vocal chords with disdainful air. His words fell on quite deaf ears, as they so commonly seemed to do, and I rather decided to entertain other stems of conversation. You never answered my first… proposal. I observed in a light sniff, glancing at him furtively. I dearly disapproved of unanswered suggestions, almost as much as I resented of refused ones. He wouldn’t render me hanging, such an un-gentlemanly thing was beyond his horrible capabilities, or so I would like to believe so, and in other words he would much like to. So I thought I might help aid his small male brain and make clear my great expectations with a generous hint. I would like an answer.

Looking down towards the rather deranged mare, I spoke firmly yet without a sarcastic or obnoxious tone.
"As would I, before I give my answer. If you can explain to me the benefits we would both receive, I will answer a straight 'yes' or 'no'. Simple as that. Convince me and I shall say yes, if you are unable to, I will say no."

I failed to see the difficulty of my request, as I had been asking of it repeatedly before she went into her little fit. My expression calm, I waited to see how she would react. If she refused to answer, I would certainly decline her 'proposal' and leave her be.
