The New Wetlands, A new life.

Auds flicked as Jude entered, wandering over to where Thunder stood. After a minute or so, he walked away, a strange look on his face. He had expected it. Thunder seemed different, depressed. As if he wanted a family but didn't feel like finding one. He was about to force him out until he brought back a mare of his own, but decided against it. It wouldn't be good for his reputation. Seeing Jude look unhappy, he turned to Sand with a, "I apologize, I'll be right back," and jogged to where the dark colt stood.

"You made it here fine," he said, in a voice that was gentler than what he normally used, sensing the colt's sadness. "The brute you just met is Thunder Bolt. He's been having some...difficulties lately, but pay no mind. Over there is Dark Sand, my mate." Skull turned to where she stood. "I apologize for the lack of herd members, but I've been slightly busy lately. You can always go to the Hyacinth Shore, however, if you get really bored. Now, I must go, and I hope that you are happy here." He loped to where Sand was. "All right, I'm ready," he said, nuzzling her. "Let's go."

Jude smiled happily at the company as the alpha stallion came to speak with him. He nodded as he explained about Thunder Bolt and the herd. When Sunrise pointed out his mate, the colt said, "Oh, congratulations!" However, he couldn't help thinking of Michelle, still. He shook his head. This was getting rediculous. This mare was all he could think about!
Jude nickered good-bye as Sunrise trotted away with his mate, Dark Sand. Was Thunder the only other horse in the herd? He wandered over to the brute, and tried to make conversation. "Hey," he muttered to the stallion. "My name is Jude." He didn't know what else to say, so he sort of shrunk into silence, pawing the ground nervously.

[ADMIN:Zephyr]

Maui twisted his strong neck, enabling his warm rustic eyes to watch his mate carefully. Luna seemed tired, let alone pained. Frowning, he fumbled affectionately with her silver tresses. "What's on your mind?" He questioned softly, ears cupped.

The yearling filly lifted her gaze, her big brown eyes were intelligent and brimming with naive youth They both seem tired... Nyth whispered in return. Though she was only a youngster, Nyth understood the look of grave concern her father wore upon his muzzle when he looked to Luna. Pulling away gently from Lucky her attention was snapped up by a newcomer. A colt! The young steel grey lass loped hastily towards the sable creature. Hello, my name's Nyth. Are you new here or something? Though outgoing, Nyth came to a restrained halt a few good metres from the other youth. Maui had taught her about wariness, how it had saved his skin more than a few times. Elated, her little ebony hooves quivered in the moist soil, dancing if you like.

I snapped back when I heard Maui'svoice. I turned to the golden brute, so full of emotion.
"Nothing. Everything." I sighed, tossing my head lightly before looking back up to him. His eyes were so loving. I pressed my blackened muzzle to his, lightly, before speaking again.

"I honestly don't know what to do at this point. Alano has abandoned me. I suppose it just might be a hard time for him, just growing up and all. It's too bad he never accepted you as a father figure." I got quieter at the finishing of my sentence.

I looked up, to where Nyth was going away to. I spotted the colt, smiled. He looked about my age, but less mature than I had grown to be. This was not bad, for I had grown to learn that most others had time for youth.
My hooves danced over the ground. I reached Nyth, and smiled at the colt.
"Hello. My name is Lucky"

He nodded along, understanding. He knew pain, and loss too. He had a twin sister, that few or none knew of. Her name was Felinya and their mother had been Beau, a mare who knew several powerful lead stallions, lights and neutrals in Forever Free. She hadn't ever spoken of them though. And their sire was a heethan, who'd raped and almost killed Beau. his name was Liberties Domestication, Liberty. He had stood alongside the other scum in Eleandi Caves before vanishing, like his victim. No one knew of that twisted family, and currently Maui believed he was the sole survivor. Swallowing emotion, he looked again to the pearly lady "Life is never fair, and even more cruel to us neutrals" He flared his nostrils gently against hers, letting her scent envelope him "When i was young, i left my family. It was impossible for me to return to them though, but Alano has several years of a great life ahead of him. he'll survive without us, and we will wait for his return. No son forgets their mother". The buckskin clad beast swung alongside Luna, his flanks against hers, comforting her.

The dark colt peered up at the two fillies before him. "Why, hello!" he greeted them warmly. Fillies of his own age? Maybe he could find friends here after all! "It's nice to meet you, Nyth. And you too, Lucky." He looked from one to the other and asked, "Are you two sisters? I have a sister . . ." he paused, thinking of his long lost sibiling, then added, "But she's a year older than me. My name is Jude. And, yes, I'm new here."

Her father's trademark sloping grin graced her petite charcoal maw as the colt replied without hostility in his tone. Her small ears twisted to the rear, listening as her bigger sister came to meet them. Nyth guessed Lucky to be the oldest of the young trio, and herself the youngest "Nice to meet you, Jude. Yes! We are sisters, aren't we lucky. We have the same mother, but Maui is my father, and who's your father, Lucky?" She peered at her older half sister, admiration still glinting in her warm eyes.

The black colt smiled at the two. "Well, that's the same with my own sister and I. We share the same mother, but different fathers. But we're still close - as I see you two are." He grinned, happy to finally have friends and someone to talk to. He muttered, "Tell me, how old are you two? I just turned three a couple of weeks ago. And my sister is four - only a year older than myself." His ears swished at the flies that seemed to plauge the wetlands. His tail swished as well, although it didn't provide much comfort. Even though he was already three, his tail was still growing from the stump it had once been, and it was still a little bit too short to reach the one fly that had landed on his hock.
So, Jude stomped his back leg, but this just resulted in a splattering of mud. He turned to look upon his muddied hide. This looked like it could be some fun! He stamped his foot again and this time there was a large "squelsh" sound and a small wave of spattered mud flew upon all of them. "Oops!" Jude giggled childishly. "I'm sorry!"

She shared another toothy grin with Jude as he spoke of his sisters. She listened intently, her attention caught by this colt. She had never met another colt before, even though he was almost a stallion, she enjoyed his ability to relax and become childish again. "Well you're much older than me then, i'm only one and a half?" She piped with a smile "And Lucky i believe is...three aswell? Are you Lucky? She lifted her rusty eyes to watch her older sister, waiting. Nyth smiled slightly to herself, maybe Lucky hadn't spoken yet because she couldn't get a word in! The steel grey filly giggled softly, she loved to talk.

"You're not /that/ young," Jude said. "You'll be two before you know it!" He grinned and licked off a spot of mud that was dripping off of his gray-black muzzle. His eyes sparkled as he looked between the sisters. As he conversed with the small gray filly he coulndn't help but be reminded of Michelle . . . His smile slowly started to fade, and he looked to his hooves for a moment in thought. However, he then remembered that Lucky and Nyth were still watching him, and a smile immidiately found it's way back onto his muzzle. "So," he said, trying to make conversation. "What's there to do in these wetlands, anyway?"

I looked at Nyth, an awkward gaze attaining my eyes. "My father's name was Ocapello, he's dead. Now, let's not talk about it." I spoke quickly, rushing over half of my words in the process, and gladly moving on to the next subject.
"Yes, I am three also." I spoke shortly now, looking over the colt. I hadn't seen one of my age in a while, aside from Alano, but I was seeing spots everywhere from constantly having to look at his multi-hued hide.

I stood politely, flicking my tail as the stale, humid air hung around me.
"Well... there's not much to do I suppose. My twin brother is moping alone, like usual. You'll be lucky to see him twice in your life." I laughed shortly, two almost hiccup-sounding beats. "My mother is the white mare over there. She's the alphess, though not in any relation to the present alpha. Her only love is Maui, Nyth's father." I stopped talking. I hadn't really conversed in a while, and I often needed to shut myself up.

[ADMIN:W Smack]

Jude smiled - happy to find someone his own age. Nyth and Lucky were his first two friends in two years, and it was hard to keep his excitement controlled. "Well, then what are we to do?" he asked. "If there's nothing to do, then what do you two do all day to occupy your time?" He cocked his head slightly as Lucky mentioned her twin brother. "I didn't know that you were a twin!" he mused. "That must be pretty interesting." He listened as she explained of her mother and father. How hard it must be to loose a parent. "Um, if you don't mind my asking . . ." he muttered. "How old were you when your father, um . . . died?"

Thunder looked at the colt. He watched as fillies came over and took him away. Thunder sighed deeply. This was a drag. He was going to become quite lazy. He looked down, this was so stupid. He got up towering over the foals. He just stood there though. He shouldn't have got up. What family could he have now? He was pathetic, weeping in the shadows begging for sympathy. Well when you you make someone sad don't expect a hey, or a big smile. Thunder backed into the shadows some more. The land beneath him began to slide. Water over lapped his hooves. He didn't mind as he tried to move the guck sucked at his hooves. He turned around to look at a little swamp area. He wasn't too afraid.

He said" Well whats different, no one cares, no one ever cared, why should I have thought different" He remembered a wolf, the purest of white, but his eyes, they were hollow and black. He didn't shiver just narrowed his eyes. His name, it was of a gods name, it meant the god of war, insanity, massacre, murder, mayhem, it was god no one really knew, Hextor. He remembered the worlds the wolf spoke. The wolf was evil but he made a point. Thunder's voice was hollow" We're all in this alone" He nodded and then moved into the murky water. His coat was dank for the moister in the air and then he looked at how little fire flies glittered and made the place peaceful. Thunder sighed. He was somber, and a little angered at how people treated him. He would watch from now on, and perhaps maybe someday make a friend and teach him the wonders of the world, and how horses work.

Thunder was leaving the water. Nothing was much different from when he was young. Being a neutral wasn't as easy as expected. You had the feelings of both light and dark, but at time you cared what people said and that's exactly what he did. He envied the darks in a way, they cared less about everything. He knew they could feel and be happy only in that way. They cared only for the one person. It didn't matter as much though. Thunder muttered" I wish I had a firm grip on reality, cause then I'd strangle it" As the foals came back into view he looked and saw Sunrise. His dome shook in dismay. Why was there happiness when it was just a temporary state. He didn't feel like finding a family now. The reason was because they'd all back stab him just like all the rest of these horses had. No respect, no trust, all they ever did was give him dirty looks, and stared at him like he was a freaking lunatic, well someday he wished they'd all just freaking suffer.

He shook his head. He leaned against the tree and slid down. He looked down. The color in his eyes were dull. He blinked softly and picked at the grass. His nares flared. His sides heaved in and out. He was surprised he made it this far. At least some people could be happy. He just stared at the ground. Like a statue, if he was the description would be " Looking for something that will never happen". He wasn't a friend of happiness at the moment. He yawned and stared at the ground. It was so amazing how he could manage just sitting there staring at the ground. His audials were drooped and his eyes lids drooped. He wasn't tired. He was stiff, but he managed to just sit there instead of stretch.
