It was odd, to think back to the days were I was clueless about my lineage. About the fact that one day I'd become an heir to a vast kingdom, and then the King within just a few short weeks. It was almost like a dream, a dream that I both wanted to wake up from and yet I didn't at the same time.

Was that a good thing? The desire to attract more members and watch my newly acquired herd grow? my father had said it was, but he'd always said to be careful. I could tell he was worried that history would repeat its self with my rule over Zin; but I was determined not to let that happen.

My auburn tassel flicked slightly, to rid my appalossa blanketed pelt of the flies that buzzed around my 17 hand frame. Pale blue occuli scanned the Shores silently, as dark brown pillars strode my lean frame forward towards its waters. My dark brown muzzle was tucked close to my chest, allowing my thick boa to arch, as white tipped audda flickered back and forth carefully - listening to every sound that invaded them in case someone approached.

But that's what I wanted. Neutrals or Lights, under my rule, would be accepted into Zin. I was more flexible than my father about alliances; unless you were Dark. That was a complete different story.

Bi-colored hooves danced on the shore of the water, as I hold my head high and continue to scan the scenery. Disappointment breaks my determination briefly, but I recover. The only way to be noticed, is to let others know you're there. A bellowing call reverberates from my deep, muscled chest and echoes across the Shore, before returning back to me in just a barely audible whisper. All I could do was wait, for now.

The mare trotted breezily across the terrain, ragged mane flowing behind her, longer than it had been in a long while. She caught sight of an odd colored stallion, a sort of alluring pattern. Strange though it was, because she had only ever seen horses colored like that that were more stout, mustang type horses. And yet, he seemed to have traces of warmblood-like conformation. He seemed worth her time.

She broke to a canter as she approached them, a forward, flowing gait. She stopped slowly, gracefully, and dipped her head in front of him. "'Ello," She said, her voice airy and light. Despite her German heritage, that was so long ago, no accent clung to her voice. "My name is Donner Sterne, cordially Donner," She told him. "Yours?"

White tipped audda caught the sound of her cantering gait well before her scent made its self known to my nares, and my pale blue occuli welcomed to her sable appearance. Dark pillars shifted my weight as audda listened patiently to her.
"A pleasure, Donner. I am The Renegade, or Ren, King of Zin Desert," I reply, my voice wasn't quite as deep as my father's, but it was close. It was strange to introduce myself as the King of Zin, but I'd have to grow used to it.
