The New Wetlands, A new life.

[ADMIN:Zephyr]

<sub>Maui dug lifelessly at the roots of a young shrub, muzzle burying itself in the soft, spongey mud, enamels severing the foliage swiftly. Crest began to arch, apex riding the ascent as he suryeved the empty land. A barren land. That was all. Wet and dense with greenery, where was the flourishing life? Nowhere. Ocapello had left, and with his departure, had taken his own life. Luna was nowhere to be seen, and neither was Water Chestnut. What about the triplets? Where were they? Clover, Alano and lucky. He still felt some loyalty to the trio of newborns after all this pain.

He knew he was the cause of Lunas pain, but also, Ocapello was too. With a snort the guardian of the wetlands browsed solemly upon the turf, awaiting the newest alpha.</sub>

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

A young stallion walked aimlessly through the land, muttering furiously. His voice changed every few seconds, making it seem like he was speaking with others. And indeed, he believed he was.
"Where's the old alpha?" he wondered in a normal voice.
"Well, obviously someone /else/ took over," he replied to himself, his voice now growling and Dark.
"Yeah..." his voice returned to normal. Auds pricked up as he spotted another stallion. "Maybe he's the new alpha!" he said, grinning. "Be nice you guys!" With that, he trotted forward, smiling. He stopped near the other equine and dipped his head slightly in greeting. "Hello!" he said cheerfullly. "Who are you? Are you the new alpha?"

The shire stallion followed Maui over to where the herd was. He did not see very many horses here. He thought about getting himself a mare but he would not do that yet. He wanted to get to know everyone here. He turned to the other stallion. "Hello," he said. "Yes, I am the Alpha. I'm Phantom Ghost. And you?"

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

He jerked his head up, auds pricking forwards again as the alpha spoke to him. "'Ello," he said. "I'm Domino." And then, abruptly, his tone changed.
"I am The Great Milo the-" (pompous)
"Oh, shut up. He's Milo. I'm Dunkel." (rough and growling)
"Spot." (tired-ish)
"Agent 0064798!" (hushed and hurried)
"Blitz!" (cheerful)
"Jason..." (quiet, shy)
"CHEESE!" (insane)
He switched back to his normal voice. "We're all pleased to meet you, Ghost, if we may call you that."

He replaced a smile with a confused look as the stallion shouted out all these different names in different voices. He snorted and forced himself to smile. 'We' the other stallion had said. There was only him. Where did he get the 'we'? He erased that from his mind. "Yes, you may call me GHost," he said. "A pleasure to meet you...all."

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

A quick grin flashed over his maw. Ah, this was another stallion who was quick to catch on. "Thanks," he said. "You'd be surprised how many horses get confused when we all answer. It's as if they can't see the others! Like they can only see me..." He giggled foolishly, tilting his head to the side. He was like a foal, only stuck in a stallion's body. Having no parents when he grew up, he wasn't raised properly. Thus he had developed his other seven 'brothers'. They had helped him get through his life with little damage. At least, that's what he thought. Obviously, his brain was damaged far beyond repair.

For now, he just needed to be accepted by others. Perhaps eventually he would recover from this sickness that was unknown to him.

He snorted. "Yeah, I don't know why anyone couldn't see the others," he said, making it seem like he meant it but he really didn't. He smiled as he lookked down at his hooves then back at Domino.

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

He smiled, then snorted.
"He's faking." (Dunkel)
"So? If you stay quiet we'll be ok!" (Domino)
"Whatever." (Dunkel)
"Shh!" He grinned, embarrassed. "H-he's a little slow to trust," he muttered slowly. "Um, excuse me, we have to go talk." With that, he turned and trotted away, muttering - and at times swearing - angrily to and at himself.

He lowered his head to look at the ground. He saw a snake and snorted, kicking out at it. It hissed then slithered away from them. Ghost snorted and looked back up, wondering what Domino and the 'others' were doing.

[ADMIN:Zephyr]

_{Maui shifted his head up, ascended upon his thick siphon "Hey" he called after the multi-personality stallion "I'm Maui, nice to meet you" he added with a warm grin. His hazel orbs darted back towards Ghost and he smiled slightly as he made eye contact with the shire "Its not that bad...really" he joked, watching the snake}

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

"I told you to be nice," Domino growled angrily.
"Yeah, well, in case you haven't noticed, /I/ am not nice." (Dunkel)
"You could at least try!" (Blitz)
"Shut up, happy-boy." (Dunkel)
"/Both/ of you be quiet!" Domino roared. "Now, this is our /last/ chance, people! Just be good - for once! We. NEED. This. Home! Alright? So just... calm down! And Dunkel, if you can't say anything nice, just don't say anything!"

With a furious snort, he turned and walked back towards the herd. Quickly, his face cleared as he let Blitz 'take over'. "Pleased to meet you, Maui," he said cheerfully to the stallion. "I'm Blitz. I'd introduce the others, but they're kinda... upset."

[ADMIN:Zephyr]

_{He chuckled deeply, the charred muzzle of his quivering with amusement "i believe i've heard of all of you before, but, its a pleasure...Blitz, and all your fellow...fellows"}

[ADMIN:~Peaches~]

He looked quite confused as Maui laughed, tilting his head to the side in a very comical way. "Really? When did you hear about us?"
"From the other alpha, duh." (Dunkel)
"Oh, right. The other one told you about us, right?" (Blitz)

The shire looked at Maui and slightly smiled. "First snake I've seen yet," he said, the snake gone already. He turned back to Domino. "I've never heard of you until now," he said. "I did not know the other Alpha."

[Taylor]

Another equine joined the small group, her white form stopping near Maui. She nodded to the new bi-colored stallion, a small smile lifting her maw. She turned to Maui. A wash of braveness rippled through her. Her gentle darkened muzzle nudged against his neck. She considered it a sort of Peace Gesture between them, for she still loved him. Ocapello filled her thoughts suddenly, but when tears sprang to the back of her eyes, she dismissed him for now. The time for lamenting ws not now.

_{Maui smiled "Word gets around" he replied,a glint in his mysterious orbs, he nodded in response to Ghost before he felt her touch. He welcomed the gesture happily, muzzle turning to nudge her softly in return "Thank you"}

He smiled. He had a land, a herd, and hopefully his own mare soon but he wanted to get to know the herd first. "So, Maui," he said. "How many horses are here?"

[Taylor]

"I'm sorry, and your welcome. I still hope we can keep those promises we made." Luna whispered to Maui. She turned to Ghost, cocking her left eyebrow slightly. "Four, along with my three foals." she looked back momentarily, her ears flicking in wait for the foals' return.

[ADMIN:Zephyr]

_{Maui replied, first to the alpha "As Luna said, just us and the triplets" His gaze slid to the side again, meeting Lunas briefly before shying away like he had done all so long ago "What promises were they?" he asked softly.}

[Taylor]

Luna turned her gaze forward again, catching Maui's. "Please, don't turn away from me. I... I promised to love you. And I do, and I still want to bear your foals." Her tone came as a quiet, harsh whisper, for Ghost had no reason to partake in these matters.
