Much love! - Audrey (Bulldozer)

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
I'm officially opening up Delerium for business - a slow start, maybe, and yeah I procrastinated like crazy and I'm very sorry...
But it's done, and hopefully we can keep at least some of the gang together, plus new people of course.
I miss it too much... Forever Free's my addiction and my therapy all in one, and I hope we can bring it back.
Can't get much cheesier, but seriously.
So, CLICK! CLICK LIKE CRAZY!!!

Delerium
Word (under construction)

Guilt.
It tore at his insides and brought unwelcome tears to his eyes. None spilled over, held at bay by the sheer terror that gripped his heart with icy cold fingers. No one was following him, he knew that for sure; he had doubled back and re-traced his steps almost fifteen times, but still the fear remained. He didn't know why they weren't following him, but whatever the reason, it was fine with him.

Why had he run? Was he really so important that it was better if three other healthy, beautiful young mares died in his place? Was his message that vital to the survival of the Lights? Or... was he?

Only time would tell... All he could do now was wait for his beloved and son to find him. He dared not call out for fear of attracting more unwanted visits, so he simply had to lie low and hope that she would somehow pinpoint this exact point in the dunes where he stood.

'At least they did not see it...'

ooc: Duuude, Ainmire's, like, two by now, isn't he? I know he's older than Firefly... o-O

I was lost, both emotionally, and in the literal sense. I knew that I was on the beach, but each time i took a step, it just seemed one step farther away from my old life. From my love, and my past. I would have liked to forget it, but Enrique, and the worry for him, made that impossible.
I should have been ready to move on. After all, I had Ainmire. He protected me, kept me sane through the nights, when i had nothing else to hold on to.
I hoped that Enrique was here. And i knew it. Not only by smell, but also by instinct.

My steps took me farther. until I say something so unbelieveable. It was that massive black stallion that I so dearly knew.
"Enrique!" I yelled, at no loss for words. I wouldn't cry, I would rejoice.

No way...
It was as though his thoughts had summoned her. Her voice cut through all gloomy, morbid thoughts that plagued his mind with their whispers. He felt, instead, the immense warmth of the love he had felt for her since their first meeting, and which had only doubled at the birth of their son.
"Nekoya!" he shouted, even before he turned, throwing any and all caution aside. Whirling about, he urged his body--now devoid of the exhaustion he had felt only moments ago--into a gallop, oblivious to the miniature sandstorms flying out behind his hooves as he raced toward her. Even the pain of the scars still fresh upon his back, gifted to him via the talons of a traitor bird, could not break through the blissful euphoria filling his head.

He slowed to a halt before her, somehow having the presence of mind not to throw large amounts of sand in her face by skidding, and felt a colt-like grin spread over his muzzle as he gazed again at his only beloved.
"You're here."

I couldn't believe my eyes, but indeed, it was my big black romantic hunk of Enrique, right before me. I felt Ainmire near, hidden a few yards off, and should have told Enrique to call him once again. He would respond to that, I was sure. Ainmire was the thing that kept me sane through the lonely nights. He looked so much like Enrique... But I was wrapped up in passion, and I wasn't letting it go.

I smiled, a wide grin sweeping over me, for the first time in a long time. "I am..."
I didn't quite know what to say. Ecstacy spilled over me.
"Enrique..."
I trailed off, searching for the words. I settled on three simple ones.
"I love you." I whispered to him, reaching out to nuzzle his cheek. I didn't want to bring up the fact that I needed to ask him something.

ooc;;

LOL at first line there

ooc: I love it. ;D

bic:
"I love you."

Three little words.
How could they hold so much meaning?
How could they define the very reason for his existence?
How could...how could...how...how could he not respond?
"Me?" he blurted out, not thinking through his words in the intensified euphoria now clouding his mind. He felt as though...as though nothing could possibly be wrong in the world at this moment. Not in his world. And this was his world, as far as he was concerned.
'But...'
Terror sliced through the rest of the clouds and shoved them aside like a blade of grass, seizing his heart and gripping it with cold fingers. He stepped back slightly, looking around with a slightly panicked gaze.
"Where's Ainmire?"
'Did something happen?!'

ooc: Aww, the ever-paranoid father... *pats*

A smile spread out over my muzzle. I advanced forward until my body was parallel with Enrique's, but reversed. I circled him, not for observation purposes, but instead so that I saw the same things that he did.
"Yes, you. And Ainmire does too."

I shifted my hooves and touched his nape with my muzzle. "Call him." I whispered, gaze sweeping to the land before me.
I knew Ainmire would respond.

ooc;;
Sorry for the shortness!!
I will add, unless you can work off this

"And Ainmire does too."

'How can a foal love a father who's never been there?'

It was a brief thought, but a cold one nonetheless, and he shivered involuntarily, trying to block it out of his mind. As a result, he was oblivious to the fact that Nekoya had moved until she appeared beside him. He returned her affectionate gesture, pressing his muzzle briefly against her neck, taking comfort and strength from her assurance. Then, ears straining forward for any hint of a sound, he called, in as strong a voice as he could manage:

"Ainmire! Come out...please."

'Am I really going to do this?' The jet-black stallion wondered. Pale grey hooves shifted uncomfortably as the stallion waited. He recalled his mind for entertainment. Curly locks falling over pools of stone, Ainmire took a trip down memory lane.
'Mom and Dad were so perfect when I was younger... years ago, we were all a big happy family. I don't even know what happened, but mom was taking me around, and dad was... gone.' The stallion blinked for a moment, face without expression.
"Ainmire! Come out...please."
'Now or never...' He thought with a grimace.

He stepped out from the rock in which he was so very hidden, giving a quick glance first to his mother, then a lasting gaze to Enrique. He didn't know what to say.
"Hey..." Apparently he did.

ooc: OHMAHGOSH, he is HAWTT!!! ;D

bic:
All he could do was stare, struck dumb as the figure--his /son/--stepped into view. His legs felt weak as the shock swept over him of how much the other had changed... it seemed like just yesterday Ainmire had been a wobbly little foal, but now...now he was practically a stallion.

"Hey..."
He closed his eyes briefly, pushing back the tears, guilt, and shame. As he opened them again, he stepped forward, toward the younger one...his unknown son.
"How are you...Ainmire?" he managed to say, proud that his voice barely shook.

ooc: He's a very...emotional dude. o-O
