Livin' life the way I want -- ooc

Anyone welcome who's adventurous enough to post with the 'yote. ;D Bit of language here too, Malo's a bit foul-mouthed... :/

So who're you to stop me? -- ic

Malo wasn't afraid to run through the Denalhi Range. Of course, Malo wasn't afraid of pretty much anything. Sure, the faint rises of smoke indicating flame scared him a bit. Humans scared him a bit. His little band had been decimated by them when they wandered too close. Killed them for no good reason, those human bastards did. A harsh sound ripped forth from his throat, the cross between a snort and an anguished cry. Not a pretty sound, but it spoke his thoughts all the same.

It was obvious that those humans were burning something now, flaunting off their ability with fire... yet again. Those two-legged horrors. They would soon play with fire for the last time, for one slip up with the dangerous combustion would set the entire forest aflame. That wasn't a good thing, and Malo wouldn't enjoy it any more than he'd enjoy choking down a month-dead lizard for dinner. He stopped his run, long and thin legs standing tall, his mouth curving into a dangerous smile. He wouldn't go near the stupid creatures, those humans, he'd keep his distance. He wouldn't grace them with another coyote kill, no siree.

The smoke was beginning to bore him, so he set off again, mouth open with a tounge lolling out for breath, and his crimson eyes boring into every nook and cranny in that mountain range. He was dreadfully hungry, and the cool that bit through his pelt wasn't helping his mood. Neither was the absence of prey. A snap of his jaws and a furstrated growl punctuated that. Ivory-white teeth flashed in the setting sun, and he was off again, runnin' on.

hi. sorry for the sucktastic post.

The cougar minx lazily lay about one of the mountain ridges, mit hanging off the edge. Oh, how boring life was as a cougar. Sure, many wolves to mock and create some sparks between, but right now it was pointless. She had no vagabond cougars to lead on to mock others. And she knew there were many wolves. So what was the point in doing something as foolish as that? Narrids flared as she was unwary of her surrondings, taking her nice afternoon nap. The interuption, and coruption? The sharp smell of smoke. Oh god, how that smoke reeked. Did the humans have no mind? One eye opened, as she herself began to worry a tad, thinking the human was near her. But, as she focused, she pinpointed the location of the smoke, and it wasn't near her. Yet she opened both lids, watching the smoke roll over the tree tops. In a mere moment, she flexed her muscles, and pushed herself up. The hostile minx gazed at her surrondings, wondering, What boring things are there to do, today? There passed a shiny object. ?"Bloody dragonflies, always flying around..." She muttered lightly beneath her breath.

She rolled her haunches a bit, bright eyes glancing left and right, left and right. Continuous boring motions. Lobes flickered as she took in an interesting sound. She wasn't sure what the hell it was, it was a very strange sound she had heard once before. Her narrids flare again, taking the smell of smoke, and a living, breathing being. A coyote. Oh, fun, a sweet coyote. The young bastards. Her eyes flashed, as her nails clicked upon the stone ground. "Joy." She muttered, and another word accomadated it. Not the nicest of words of course. No one liked to hear it. She immidiatly bounded off of her ledge, down to vacant ledges. And then she was upon the rocky ground she was quite used to and unbothered by. She was careful not to hit one, she did so love the sound of pebbles clicking together and bouncing around. But she felt like being silent at the moment. And she began to move faster once the critter was in sight. Object, locked. Oh yes. She was hungry to.

Object? Forget it. Targer. Well well, who do we have here? She purred out in a tone that did not suggest what her mood was. Of course she was bothered, he was making a slight commotion, and since she had forgotten about the smoke, she could go right back to sleep. Her muscles rippled throughout her bodice, talons tracted in her mits crevices, as she stood high above him. Of course this was only natural. She was above him on the food chain as well, and even above the wolves. Though she had no intentions of raiding wolves, and no intention of harming this helpless being. Or what seemed to be helpless. Yet, anyway.

Issafinepost! =D This is going to be a fun, fun, fun topic, teehee.~ Little foul-tempered 'yote and the kitteh. Urk, shortpost.

So who're you to stop me? -- ic

Malo froze as the odd creature slid into view, blood red eyes locked on the massive feline's. A cold smile entered his features as the creature purred a sentence, just enough for him to have good reason to talk. "Took the words right out of my mouth." he said, a faint snarl entering the last word. He was a naturally agressive little boy, and this big kitty wasn't helping his mood of hunger and fatigue. She wouldn't know that though, he'd keep his weaknesses locked up tight.

"I'd like to say first of all, my name's Malo. And... who the hell are you?" Malo asked, his crimson eyes wearily following the creature's movements. The slightest of offensive moves would send him off the deep end, heheh, for his mouth was already open, ready to bite with the force to break bone. He was a dangerous creature by nature, even more dangerous when he was thinking. "Or should I say... what the hell are you?" Truth be told, he'd never seen a creature like this, and it piqued his interest. It wasn't one of those pompus wolf bastards, oh no, it was a creature mightily like himself. Alone and dangerous.

She heard his words loud and clear. He said, Malo. Well, that was the only important thing that came out of his mug. Everything else was all small talk. Boring babbling. She did not laugh, nor did she smile, nor did she grin or smirk. Her expression was plain and simple. Now now, Malo - Manners do matter. There's no use for profanity, is there? She gazed down at him quirking an invisable brow. I'm Shiba. And what am I? Something far more dangerous then a wolf, or a coyote - She noted to add in the word coyote, because well, she was. And she new he'd be the least bit ticked. But if anyone was to have dinner, he had to know, it was HER. A cougar. Now, don't think I have an ego. Just something that can either come in handy to know, or something that you will forget and could get you in trouble one day. She lazily circled him, thinking. What more was there to say now. Watching him suspiciously, her circles seemed to tighten. But then they loosened up as she breathed heavily.

Her haunches loosened quite a bit, eyes blinking with a wary sting. You are a coyote? Your eyes are a rather... peculiar color. More like strange, weird and demented color. But she kept her mind to herself, let him think his words and she think her words. Thats how life went. Alone, but of course. Dangerous, oh, hell yes. You had best watch yourself 'round such a minx, she was rather strange, one of the most unique beings.

Gawsh, I love his topic! >_< I've never role-played a 'yote before an' I lurve being mean for once. Haha! Mind my random HTML changes, I'm trying to find a suitable little posting thing for little Malo... un-boxed text is OOC while boxed is IC, mmkay? =D
A sinister smile spread across Malo's cold features, breaking up his face like a crack through ice. So this lithe figure was going to lecture him on manners, is she? The last creature that lectured him on his manners was his mother, and look where she ended up. Malo almost laughed, but if he had, it would have been a cruel and rasping sound. Dear old mother. He cocked his head to the side in mock fascination as the creature introduced herself as Shiba... and went on to indulge herself in a superiority complex. She went on to tell him not to think she had an ego... and blah and blah and blah.

That's when Malo laughed, aloud. Not only did she have a superiority complex, but she was as bossy as anything! Two things that he wasn't fond of. "My, my, my..." he muttered, crimson eyes glittering as he eyed the creature, now defined as a cougar, as it circled around him like a vulture circling a carcass. What a lovely invision of what was happening... oh well. "Well, well, well..." he muttered, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Looks as though someone has a superiority complex..." He didn't look like he was afraid, not in the least. He wasn't afraid of anything, remember? Not even a massive feline with curved claws and teeth. Nah, he could always do something to upset that rock formation that seemed to lean procariously over. A few hundered pounds of rock was enough to silence a big cat.

"You are a coyote? Your eyes are a rather... peculiar color." she went on, making Malo's smile curve even more. Ah yes, his eyes. Those were a peculiar blend of genes, wouldn't you say? The brightest crimson that blended into a blood color, perfect for his image. He loved his menacing eyes, and was quite glad he got the more demonic side of the genepool. "Yeah, but strange things happen every day." he said bluntly, flicking his brush of a tail impatiently. "Now for another question, Madame Shiba, why are you in the mountains?"

She snickered a bit, at his words, not so openly, but not so it wouldn't be ignored. Now, lucky him she couldn't read his mind. Because she would slam him to the ground with one mit. One large mit, may I add. Why am I in the mountains? She said, almost laughing at his stupidity. The mountains are my habitat, my home. She said. Though, what are you doing in the mountains? Yes yes, this was rather peculiar... Strange, almost as odd as his eye color. A superiority complex?... She drawled out, looking at him unfazed. Well, call it what you want. I don't think little of myself, nor too much. She said, tone sounding honest. Hell, this bitch did think much of herself. Maybe a tad too much. She now backed away from him, sitting on her rump. She was the dominant one here now wasn't she... This was her habitat. She carried herself in such a way, no issue really.

Now, strange things do happen every day. But, it's not everyday I see a coyote with that eye color, withen the mountain boundaries. She drawled out in her retaliation to his rather dull response. Oh how he bored her. How she wished she could just kill him now, and eat him. But then a mouse, field mouse, that was rather large, came out of a small crack withen the wall. And then another. Oh fun. She pulled up her blood suckers, fangs baring. Her claws pushed out of her mits crevices, and pulled them in. She pushed her hind limbs, slowly moving towards the two mice. Her claws were out. And bam, there she was, near the helpless mice.

Her claws extended as she quickly jabbed the critter before it could tell its stupid budy what hit him. Her next claw hit the other mouse, and she kept her claw in there. She moved over boredly to the 'yote, giving him a mouse. You look rather famished. She commented to him. Of course, he couldn't say the same to her, as she was built of muscle. Muscle replaced her fat, as every day she was lingering upon her mountain. She ate her own mouse, swallowing the thing whole. Damn, that thing was small.... Mm, I wonder if the 'yote knows what hes eating? Bwahha. Well, he didn't know she was a cougar. Maybe he thought this thing he was about to eat was a... chipmunk. HAH. She watched him, no smile nor frown upon her face.

Shortpost to longpost. Life is like a box 'o chocolates, never know what you're gonna get, right? =D
Malo let out a bit of a snort at the cougar's blunt responce. How was he to know what a foreign animal dwelled? She didn't have to bite his head off about it. Hmm, why was he in thes god-forsaken mountains. "Just exploring. You have a problem with that, your highness?" he sneered, urging her toward the brink as much as he could. He loved to dance with danger, the thrill of narrowly escaping death being one of his favorite things. He simply shrugged at her next words. Oh lord, this cat likes to talk... he thought inwardly, casting a sidelong glance at the tawny-colored feline. Or likes to hear herself talk.

He grunted in responce to her further talking. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Boring, boring, boring. He could be terrorizing a wolf right now, and he was stuck with this creature. He'd die of boredom. Little did he know that the cougar was thinking the same about him. Ironic, but he'd never know. Good thing he couldn't read her mind either. "What's so big about my eye color?" he asked, looking up sharply as he had been looking down torward the rocky ground. "Ever hear the term 'albino'? Red eyes and white fur? Its a genetic mutation. I got a bit of it, maybe, except I kept normal fur color." he went on, feeling as though he had to explain to the cougar. She thought she knew anything, the bitch. She knew nothing of coyotes, or of wolves for that matter. Coyotes and wolves were very close in the world of species and creatures. Much closer than a coyote and a cougar, that's for sure.

And she slid away, returning shortly with two little rodents dangling from her jaws. She dropped one in front of him, only getting a blank stare at it in return. What. The. Hell. She was feeding him?! He could feed his own damn self! The cougar devoured her own prey in a single gulp, glancing to him expectantly and adding something in about how he looked. His smile disappeared, replaced by a blank look of disbelievance. "Who the hell do you think you are?!" he started, jolting up to his full height, his pelt bristling with rage. "I don't need your damn charity, bitch! I can feed my own damn self, thank you very much!"

He glanced to the small dead creature in front of him, the rodent staring back with clouded black spherical eyes. He looked at it with pure distaste, clearly having no intent to eat it. He wasn't that hungry, not hungry enough to eat out of the palm of another's hand. His crimson eyes darted back to Shiba, glowing with malevolence.

She laughed hard, upon his next words. Damn right... She muttered under her breathe, staring coldly at him. You ungreatful cretin. Me, giving you charity? Oh hell no. Just a snack dipshit. Get some manners ; you'll get no where in life by bitching around like you do. You sound like my mother... She snarled out with a toothy grin. She rose up, glancing down at him. Now, I know what an albino is. Your eyes seem darker then red from up here. I don't really know ; perhaps its the way the sun reflects on you. She shrugged, got up, and pounced eazily upon a large rock. She curl in a ball, mit hanging down, out of reach from the 'yote. So, where are you from then. You sure were born in a place out of the loop, not knowing about cougars and all. She said, and then she stopped talking.

And for the first time, she felt she knew what he was thinking. Finally. She couldn't blame him, but she could give a shit less about his feelings. 'Twas obvious he didn't give a rats ass for anyone in this world. Awwuh, an emo 'yote. So cute. So desperate and alone in the shadows. Her lids dropped down, as she chuckled lightly. She managed to make herself laugh. How right this coyote Malo was. How full of herself could she get? Any more and she'd burst.

So. Do you have a problem with my ego, midge - I mean Malo. Nice save. She glanced back at him, another toothy grin upon her mug. Knew an obnoxious coyote named Midge. Mistaked her for you. Sweet. Midge was a girl. An utterly made up lie, but she sounded honest enough. She smirked lightly, licking her lips. Midge is dead now. What can I say, she couldn't keep her mouth shut with rude comments. Okay fine. Midge could be real. Midge could be in her digestion system right now. Maybe. She sounded very much so honest, and who was he to call her a liar? She snickered inwardly. Yes, lets hear him call me that - she thought to herself.

"I've gotten plenty of places 'bitching like that'!" the coyote cried, bristling. "You're very vulnerable when eating, you know? Its almost as bad as being vulnerable when sleeping!" As annoyed as he was, the fact that she was looking down on him made him even more annoyed. Her comment didn't help any either. The feeling was counteracted when she climbed up upon a rock, out of his reach. A little bit of fear maybe? Those two feline eyes burning down on him made him feel small, uncomfortably so, and when she began to laugh, it was nothing to help his mood either.

But when she began to speak, weaving a tale of misgiving him for a... female coyote? He bristled even more, red eyes glazing over with rage. "You don't have the authority to kill because some creatures would like to cop an attitude." he growled, wishing more than anything that she was right in front of his nose so he could issue her a nice bite. He stepped foward, fur beginning to fluff out involuntarily, a natural occurance to make him 'look bigger'. It was pretty useless in real fights, but he liked the feeling of size. "What are you aiming at with your rememberance of 'Midge'?" he said, his voice stinging like a bee.

She watched him from the rock she was placed upon, and listened even more. Who the hell cared about what he was doing. Never said you didn't have any place, did I Malo? Nope. She remembered her words, they were like a diary without the secrets. She didn't know he felt small, she didn't know he was afraid of her. Sure, she wanted him to be, but she just couldn't figure him out, as she was sure she was just as hard as a book to read as him. She smirked at his comment. Hm, and you're very vulnerable when angry, to busy being pissed to know whats really going on. I'm sure you're just as vulnerable, 'yote, so don't speak what you can't back. She wasn't going to deny anything he said, it was a waste of words.

Her corde curled in, and pushed off, as her mit was flexed and her nails went out of there sheath. They clicked lightly upon the rock. Damn. She examined her nails boredly, and noticed how sharp they were. And look how dirty her mit was... She pulled her front limb in, licking it lightly, getting the dirt out of the tiny cracks. She was one who cared about being clean, come on, who enjoyed being dirty? She looked at Malo, maybe he did. He was different, that was for positive. For sure. Hah.

Malo didn't know how strong she really was, let alone could be. She could get from her own spot to his, even past him. A cougar had great legs, and especially her. Her hobby was to jump, lunge, climb, eat, climb s'more, and some other things. Chase butterflies, bwahah. Sure I do. I obey my own laws. Sometimes I'll obey others if they're reasonable. I'm my own and nobody elses. She said carelessly. Oh, he didn't get at her, not one bit. What am I aiming at? Are you really that stupid? Mm. I didn't think so, I still don't. She muttered. But I won't waste my time saying things you already know. She looked down at him, golden eyes flickering at him. However, I won't kill you, you truely aren't a bother. She said with a curt nod. She looked at him, still, curious, unbothered, and perfectly content.

Malo returned her grin with a frown. He wasn't the type to be happyhappyhappy. He thought pretty well of himself too, enough to think he could take on a wolf with enough guts to face it 'till the end. He shrugged his small shoulders to show how much the cared about the point that Shiba was pursuing. He didn't do much more when the cougar 'demonstrated her power' again, swatting a butterfly. Showoff... he thought, his face still grim.

He listened semi-intently to the cougar's little thoughts on these lands versus the Outlands. He shrugged again after she finished her speech. "You like what you like and I'll like what I like. I perfer the Outlands over this rock, but you can always choose to stay here, I'm not stoppin' you." he said, deep red eyes surveying the rocky landscape of the mountain. He blinked slightly at her next question, taken offguard by the... randomness of it. He smiled, oh so faintly. "Yeah, of course. he stated, wondering whether or not to go any further. He desided to anyway. "I'm not blind in the Outlands, and I journey a lot, through wolf packlands to get them riled up," he interrupted with a sharp laugh and a thrash of his brush-like tail. "Sometimes I wait for the sun to rise and to set, I like the color. It reminds be a bit of something..." he finished, his eyes turning torward the feline, shining with a strange light. He didn't even know what kind of light it was, but this time, it wasn't a hateful one.

I myself feel perfectly well with myself, always have. I don't make myself feel better when I talk about others. Talking about those I hate is just fun, especially when it gets around to them. She said with yet another toothy grin. She could sense the sarcasm spilling from his gut, she flashed him a look, but didn't say anything. I didn't think you'd live in wolf lands, I never said that. But theres other places other then the outlands. She said, watching him. And when the adrenaline is fed with anger, you are too distracted to think of anything but your anger, and what you're angry at. She said, glancing away, watching a butterfly perch upon her rock. BAM. Her mit hit against it, quick, speedy. She rubbed her mit upon the rock, wiping its remains off.

Yea, I do live here. She said with a sigh. I think this is better then the outlands, honestly. The outlands now may seem quiet and peaceful, but when they're more coyotes, it won't be. But, thats not the reason I'm here. I'm here because this is my kind of enviroment, not that I couldn't live in the outlands, but whats here suits me best. Its rather silent here, and its nice to see the sun come up every once in a while. She said with a smirk. She was being honest. It was nice, really. She looked at the 'yote with curiousity. So, you ever see a sunset before? Or sunrise? Her nose twitched, catching the smell of a flying, cawing object. Holy crap. But the cawing soon disapeared, and she soon forgot about it.

She was content upon her rock, it was large and comfterable too. It was like her throne. Where was her cepter? Nah, who needs a ceptor. She lay upon her throne. Oh, look at her kingdom, how large it was, how beautiful. And the mysteries it heald were solved by her and only her, she had been here for quiet some time. She licked her jawls lightly, whiskers twitching. Her glare turned into a watchful looking eye, she didn't hate him, he was rather nice. He didn't know it, and he wasn't trying to be. But, he was nice. She took a tad of liking to him, mm. A friendly aqauintence then. She awaited his answers. She was sure he had some, or plenty.
