i've been playing percussion (congas, congitos, bongos) since age 8 (that will make 50 years next year, Jah willing)
introduced to Afro-Cuban by an old Santiero...
first influences: 50's & 60's soul/r&b, Bossa Nova & Exotica movements
have played rock, funk, jazz, dance troupes, you name it...
Fantastic belly dance, world, multi-culti, conscious/indi scene here in Clearwater & in Tampa (20 min. away)
