This topic will cover various methods of evolution and evolution items, with the exception of normal level-up evolution, which won't be included unless it has a certain specific condition.





Fire Stone
This stone evolves certain Pokémon such as Growlithe.
This stone is found in the Fuego Ironworks and Sinnoh Underground.

Water Stone
This stone evolves different Pokémon such as Lombre.
The Water Stone is found in Sunyshore City and the Sinnoh Underground.

Thunder Stone
This stone evolves Pokémon such as Pikachu.
The Thunder Stone can be found in Sunyshore City and Sinnoh Underground.

Leaf Stone
This stone evolves Pokémon such as Nuzleaf.
The Leaf Stone can be found in Floaroma Meadow and Sinnoh Underground.

Moon Stone
This stone evolves Pokémon such as Clefairy.
The Moon Stone can be found in Sinnoh Underground and can also be attached to Wild Cleffa, Clefairy and Lunatone, Pokémon Sapphire must be in the GBA slot to encounter Lunatone.

Sun Stone
This stone evolves only two Pokémon, Gloom and Sunkern.
The Sun Stone can be found in Sinnoh Underground and attached to Solrock, Pokémon Ruby must be in the GBA slot to encounter Solrock.

Dawn Stone
This stone evolves specific Pokémon and takes gender into account. It evolves Male Kirlia and Female Snorunt.
It can be found in Mt. Coronet and Pokémon with the Pickup ability. It evolves by attaching the stone and then raising the Pokémon's level by one.

Dusk Stone
This stone evolves Murkrow and Misdreavus.
It can be found in the Galactic Warehouse, Victory Road and by Pokémon with the Pickup ability.

Shiny Stone
This stone evolves Roselia and Togetic.
It can be found on Iron Island, Route 228 and by Pokémon with the Pickup Ability.
