Alright, We've been attacked twice now, with gruesome porno images. So in the even of a third one everyone should know how to not veiw images on the site.
Go to My Controls
Then scroll down to where there is a sub-category named Options
Choose Board Settings
There should be a question asking, "Do you wish to veiw images in posts like smilies, etc.?"

Choose NO

Scroll down and Save your settings

If you do this, then all images will just come up as (Posted Image) with a link to the image, don't click the link, and you'll be fine.

also you can right click on the piture and select "block images from (insert url)" but I think that's just on mozilla, not sure. you can just scrol down until you see like, a very small line of the picture, to avoid seeing the whole thing.

But usually, the images are the head post. Because he always starts a thread and the post right at the beginning shows all the pictures. So if you even click on the thread, she will be blinded.

But see this way, if someone alerts you that the porno spammers are back, then you can adequately defend yourself until a mod gets there. And be sure to warn the other members!!!

And when spammers come, we block the images and ignore them. They'll get bored and leave 14.gif We'll just keep them blocked untill mods get here.

Problem, the Guests, they can't block the images if they don't create an account so that is a problem

Guys, MercuryDream and Domo are taking my name in the shoutbox and are putting words in my mouth. So, don't listen to them.

Anyways, Kaiser, I don't know what they should do about that, atleast you can all block the porn.

Lol, I wasn't even falling for the pictures because of how obvious the attack was. I come back and there is a topic in EVERY single sub-forum that has a idiotic name for the title.

The above post is the exact reason that we should have image blocked as a default.

would you like to check? lol 7.gif
I don't see (posted image) though. its just.. white space. i think there might be a control panel where all the blocked things are *rummages through firefox menus*

edit: found it :D

tools>options>content
and then across from "load images separately" there is a little button that says "exceptions" you can insert the url pr0n.encyclopediadramatica.com

and then you don't have to block all forum images. go me. woo!

I just want to know who would be sick enough to even show those images to another person. I mean even a person thats mentally ill would still find this $hit offensive.

Sorry to double post, but we need to get our new members updated with what to do when Crossel's little circus freaks arrive. So, if you haven't been here during a porno spam attack, read the first post to save you quite a deal of trouble. ^^

delete their posts and ban them? that sounds like a pretty good plan.

well, even if he DOES have extra IP adresses, we'd just ban them one by one.

unless of course the IP adresses are the result of a program of some kind, and it can keep churning out more. of course, I doubt that exists, but I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to proxies related anti-ban stuff.

You can't ban them one by one.
It's called a proxy, I believe. It generates random IP adresses. The only way you could ban it is by discovering the logarythm it uses, and ban that logarythm.. which is impossible.

Well even if they do make false IP adresses, we would be able to tell if the user is a banned user by the words they type and they way they type.
