The Legend of Zelda: Dark King

"Ah!" yelled Link. "Don't hurt me, please! I just want to know who you really are! Please! We mean no harm! We didn't fall into Ganondorf's spell!" he spoke quickly and dropped his sword. He was really frightened, he never faced a Goron before. When everyone else was going to attack, Link thought fast. "Stop! Don't do anything!" he yelled out loud. He was hardly able to breathe. After a few minutes, Link was still being held up by the Goron, unconcious.

As everyone else had gotten ready for a skirmish, so Va'anier had taken his bow and nocked it with an arrow.

He watched as the young boy struggled in the Goron's grasp, and soon passed out.

He yelled out, "For Nayru's sake, he's only a kid!"

Balton dropped his club near at his feet and easily dispelled the three clones Haru had sent at him with his fist, grabbing each one from his body and slamming them into the ground.

He was then hit in the stomach with a strange rock on a chain. He quickly grabbed the chain, pulling Jayko towards him. He let go at the last minute and stiff-armed Jayko in the face. He then shouldered the unconscious link and prepared for the next attack.

He felt a sudden slowness creep over his body and he started to worry about the magic. He would have to be on the defensive more than ever now. Balton saw the large boulder coming at him and easily grabbed it in both hands.

"Heh, you think you can beat a rock with more rocks, eh?" Balton bellowed in his gruff voice. He sent the large boulder hurtling back in the direction of the youth, and turned his direction over to Va'anier, who he could see was notching an arrow with skillful speed. He heard Vaan's cries and dispelled them from his mind. Balton braced himself for the next wave and waited.

"Please...stop...hurting...the Goron..." mumbled Link. Even though he had trouble breathing, he was still able to talk. He slowly regained conciousness, then lost it again. It kept on going again and again.

"Just stop hurting the damn Goron or it'll keep fighting!" yelled Link, losing his conciousness once again...

Haru was disappointed by his comrades. They had failed to take advantage of the Goron's only weakness....his mind. So, Haru, thinking quickly, decided that instead of attacking, he would strike up a deal. After the Goron had finished off the last of the attacks sent hurtling towards him, Haru took a few steps forward and asked the Goron a question.

"Balton, please allow me to take the two unconscious children from your reach. In return, i will not attack you. I assure you, my word is as good as sunshine on a clear day." Haru knew that with his selection of weapons and magics, he couldn't even harm this fellow. That is why he had decided to make sure that the children wouldn't become another casualty.

To this, the sturdy Goron replied, "Sure, take them. Just remember, if you cross me, there will be more than hell to pay!"

With that said and done, Haru leapt into the Goron's area and shouldered Jayko and Link. Then, he carried them out of the area, and brought them to a safe distance. From there, Haru could watch the battle. he could also distract the Goron. To make things easier for his comrades, Haru quickly tossed one his smoke bombs at the Goron, and now he wouldn't be able to see whatever was coming at him.

[Sorry everyone, but for some reason all of these replies weren't here when I started to reply >> I guess it didn't update for me or something...]

Jayko was laying in pitch darkness, the only light was coming from him and the thick purple fog clinging to the ground around Lake Hylia. He blinked again, and he noticed many small lights that seemed to float in mid air, reflecting across the pool of water. At closer look, hundreds of moblins carrying lanterns and spears headed for him. He looked down, and saw his mother laying there dead. He looked at his arms, soaked in blood, and noticed he could see his arms, totally uncovered, with no scars or anything. He ran to the pool and looked in the water to see his ten year old self, not even in his dark cloak yet. He screamed as the moblins approached and started to attack...

Jayko woke upin mid-sweat, looking around nervously. He sat up, and touched his face. His nose had been bleeding for quite some time. He looked around to see the battle still pursuing.

Link was now fully unconcious.

He suddenly was walking down a lake, looking at his reflection. He suddenly saw his dad's reflection on him, looking like an older version of himself. His young reflection came back. He could see his solid, muddy brown eyes and his sandy blonde hair that was in his face. He was wearing green as always. He suddenly saw another reflection, it looked a lot like him. It was his dad when he was his age, fighting an Octorock. He moved his shield quickly to block the little rocks that the Octorock blasted out. Then, his wooden sword began to glow and he stabbed it into the Octorock, then there was a scene of him fighting Skull Kid and Ganondorf. Then, he saw his 18 year old version of his dad, fighting even more dangerous creatures. Then it all disappeared when he saw Princess Zelda's reflection next to his. He got scared and ran out into trees. But it still appeared. "Hello, my son." she said.

"You're not my mom! It's just rumored, I won't believe it!" he yelled. He ran away, into darkness. Then he saw Ganondorf killing his dad. Link screamed as the blood spattered all over his dad. Then Ganondorf went up to him and blasted him with a shadow beam. He saw his reflection once again, with blood all over him. He fell to the floor, next to his dad, witnessing a slow and painful death.

"Dad, no!" he yelled, as the dream slowly swept away.

[Toxot]

As the boulder Hiro had tossed earlier hurled back at him, hiro dispelled the electrical chain linking his hand to the boulder. He drew a circle around him quickly, and tapped the ground with his staff, and a grey pillar ros uplifting Hiro to the sky. WAIT A MINUTE! Hiro had the intention of avoid being hit by the boulder, but the boulder smacked into the piller, and broke it. Hiro was falling, and hit the ground with a thud. The pillar was casting a shadow over Hiro, he looked up to see the pillar falling over him. Hiro rolled to the left and thepillar just missed his right arm. So, I can't beat him with my rock spells. I know! Hiro thought a minute, and took oe of his golden braces off and put them around his fingers, lke brass knuckles, only golden. Seeing as he goron let Link and Jayko leave, he ran towards him, constantly zigazgging as he ran. When he felt he was a good enough distance away, he drew one last circle on the ground, and tapped it. He was rising to the sky, and let the pillar stop slowly. He leaned forward, and ran against the pillar, with his arms behind him and his gold brace clenched in his hand. He thrusted himself out and turned it into a "jump". He forced his hand with the gold brace in font of him, and he was falling down, picking up speed,ready to attack the Goron with a punch.

Balton curled into a ball and quickly rolled out of the smoke, only to see the youth coming towards him from the sky.

"will he ever learn" Balton muttered to himself as the boy drew nearer. When the boy was close enough, Balton easily grabbed onto his fist, cracking the brace around his hand, and tossed the boy like a rag doll back by Haru.

"Do not even try to face me in hand to hand combat!" Balton bellowed in a burly voice. "there's no way it'll help you!"

Jayko stood up, very dizzy from being knocked out for a short while...

"Wait... a... minute..."

He limped over past Haru to where the battle was raging.

"Gorons... have... bad eyesight..."

He concentrated, and emited a bright beam of light right into the goron's eyes, temporarily blinding it. He then collapsed into a heap onto the ground.

[Toxot]

"DAMN IT ALL!" Hiro exclaimed. "WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO EVEN PUT A SCRATCH ON YOU?!!" Hiro knew Gorons were strong, but he had never expected this when fighting one. I'LL NEVER GIVE UP! All of a sudden the sky began to fill with rain clouds. Hiro hands began shaking, he formed them into fists. It began to rain, Hiro closed his eyes, and began to glow a dim yellow. Hiro opened his eyes, they were bloodshot, and the aura around him intensified. Thunderbolts were visible in the sky. The thunder was groundshaking, a thunderbolt struck Hiro, but it did not phaze him. He was struck again, all that happened was thta the aura around him became brighter. He put his hands out and the aura focused into them, so that only his hands glowed. The aura morphed intotwo disc shapes, thunderbolts were shotting out from them. The sky still was dark, and rain still had yet to stop. Hiro Claaped the discs together and the formed an even larger disc, Hiro tossed the disc forward, hoping this would do some damage to the Goron. I don't understand, that spell... all that power... i liked it... AS hiro stod thinking the disc was picking up speed as it shot through the air.

Balton saw a flash of light, then everything turned white.

"Damn, why did they have to blind me!?" Balton screamed as he curled into a ball to wait the blindness and slowness off.

Meanwhile he could hear a storm brewing around him. He had been struck by lightning as a goron before, and it hurt. But not nearly as much as it would if he were human.

He felt a sharp pain shoot throughout his back and he could tell it was lightning. He could tell his limits were failing, and that he may have to morph back soon. He stood up, and rolled at magnificent speed towards the youth.

This should shut him up for a while Balton thought as he increased his speed to 40 MPH.

Link woke up lying on the grass, crying. He sobbed really hard. And he was shivering. He rocked himself back and forth to calm down. He looked at himself, he was no longer with any blood, and his dad was no longer in the scene. He got up and grabbed his wooden sword.

"You son of a...!" Link cursed. "You could've killed me!" Link continued to curse. He jumped and aimed his sword at the Goron.

Hiro was so caught up in thinking about his spell, that he did not see Balton had curled into a ball and was hurling toward him. Hiro was hit, he took a blow to the stomach. His bloddshot eyes widened more, and the aura around him dimmed and wiltered away. Hiro coughed up a small amount of blood, and fell backwards on his back. The sky cleared up, the rain had finally stopped, and hiro coughed up some more blood, then passed out. Well at least i hit him...

Balton picked up the unconscious Hiro and turned around. It seemed that the slow spell wasn't having as large an effect on him anymore, so he started to walk back to where he had put the other unconscious warriors, but saw that Link was running toward him, sword drawn. He in turn ran towards link, meeting him at the strike of his sword. Balton took the sword from his frail arms (compared to Balton's, that is) and snapped it in half.

"not so fast now little guy" Balton said in his gruff voice as he shouldered the squirming Link. "we wouldn't want to hurt the son of the Hero now would we?" He continued to walk back to the area where he had thrown Link and set them down. "I can Make this alot easier" He said to link. "Call off the others and we can continue on. I'd hate for there to be any casualties"

Balton gave Link a quizzical look and waited for a reply.

AFter he had realised that an arrow would do nothing to the Goron, Va'anier backed away and became a partial spectator. He still wasn't entirely sure why everyone was fighting, 'but evidently Gorons are easily offended'. He continued to ponder about what his role here was. There obviously had to be some reason why he wasn't under Ganondorf's spell. He lingered in and out from behind trees, still watching the bout, but still ready to take action if need be.

"Everyone!" yelled Link. "Stop! This is between me and the Goron!" He gave a dry smile at the Goron.

Balton chuckled at the child's notion

"I will kill you if i have to child. I could snap your nack like a twig."

Balton grabbed Link by the neck once more and hit him right on the forehead with a great fist.

"That oughtta shut you up for a while more" Balton said, still chuckling. "Now everybody listen up, i have the hero, this will end unless you all want him dead."

Balton looked to the few who remained conscious for an answer.

[Pokefan26]

"We mean no harm, Goron," said Link. "Everyone, isn't it true that we don't want to harm him?" Everyone that was still awake nodded. "Besides, you aren't a real Goron anyway, I can tell..." His head began to hurt after the blow he gave him.

[Harkie]

"Fine, I admit that i am not what i appear" Balton said. His voice was starting to change though, getting softer, and a wind was whipping around him. The wind turned into a confined storm, swirling around Balton. The silhouette of a thin man could be seen through the whipping wind. The wind died down and the man's hair fell around his face.

"This is my true appearance." Balton said in a grudging voice. "I am a skilled shape shifter and my purpose is that of yours. I wish to destroy the evil king Ganon, and all his minions. I am truely here to serve you, young hero."

Balton looked around at the crowd, and shouldered his broadsword.

"Then we shall cease the fighting." Ashanti said quietly. She took a step forward with her hand out in front of her. She swung her arm back, withdrawing the magic released upon Balton, and cut off the powers of the Slowga. She waited for Balton's reaction.

[Harkie]

Balton could see that the girl was trying to release the magic she had set upon him from him.

"There's no need. I resorted back awhile ago." Balton said shrugging.

"So, oh great hero, son of Link. Where does fate send us now?"

[Pokefan26]

Link shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "Maybe we can go to a shop to find weapons, I need a new sword," He saw Balton give a apologetic smile. "And a shield. I can't always dodge the rocks of those darn Octorocks. And you guys could use weapons too, right?" everyone nodded. "But... I don't have money..." He grinned, though he was embarassed.

[Harkie]

"Meh" Balton shrugged. "I got enough for a sword and sheild for ya, but not much else. I looted it off of a caravan two days ago, but it'll probably only get you a new wooden sword and a wooded sheild."

Balton looked at the young hero and said, "Anyone else have any money?"

[~Hamtaro~]

"I got nothin'." Said Haru with some regret. "I think I have enough food for the journey, but that is all. I bet that there are soldiers around here somewhere, though. Gannon would probably send some scout troups out to make sure that everyone was his slave. Also, do we know if the other races of this land fell under his spell? I doubt that mystical beings like the Zora and Gorons would fall victim to Gannon. That means that Gannon will be attacking them with an army soon. If we could protect each of these forces one at a time, then once we have secured all of them, we can band together and take the fight to him. Thats just an idea, though."

Haru sighed. He would have to be the leader until Link Junior grew up and could take the lead. "So, without further ado....we go to the Goron's first. There, if they have not fallen prey to Gannon's spell, they can provide sufficient weapons and armor, and we can also see from the mountain if there is indeed an army of Gannon's minions on its way to the mountain." With said, Haru began to walk in a random direction. Then, he walked back to the group and just as Hiro was waking up, Haru crouched down to speak to him. "You are gonna have to lead us this time, buddy. I have no idea where in the hell Gorons live." Haru smiled grimly and waited for a reply.

Hiro awoke to hear Haru telling him to lead them to the gorons. He also saw a new member of the party standing with a broadsword on his shoulders. He has the same look as that goron... a shapeshifter...

"Okay, but there's something we should do first. In Kakariko, there's a well. A lot of people used to throw their unwanted ruppees down there. If we can drain the well, we can gather up rupees there, and then go up to Goron City. There's a shop there with many things I'm sure we could all use, there's also an ironsmith who's great at crafting swords. So Kakariko to Goron City, agreed?"

[Pokefan26]

"Yes! To Kakariko it is, then!" said Link. He used the remainings of his sword to make the blades fly again. He stared at the clear, blue sky. "This might actually work," He said in his head.

[~Hamtaro~]

As the group started on their way to Kakariko Village, led by Hiro, Haru stayed back. He was worried about Jayko, and he was checking his pulse and making sure nothing was broken from his tussle with Balton. Haru knew that Balton was a bad egg, but he could come in handy in any type of fight. And so, once Jayko was sure to be fine, Haru gently picked him up and tossed him over his shoulder.

Soon, they were on a clear path, but Haru was still worried, because he kept hearing noises from behind him, though he saw nothing when he turned around to check. He would just have to find out later. Right now, he had to keep going. Jayko was depending upon it.

Link began to sense something in the back, he heard sounds. "Hey," he said. "Do you guys hear noises?" Everyone nodded.

"HALT!" a rough voice said. Everyone turned around to see three soilders working for Ganondorf. "You are all supposed to be at the Hyrule Kingdom, why aren't you there.

Ashanti gave a calm smile. "We are going to Kakariko Village first, to see a sick relative, then we'll be off to the Hyrule Kingdom." Link gave her a big smile, she saved them.

"NO!" yelled the soilder. "You must be at the Hyrule Kingdom. Our king must be worshipped by all! We shall battle!"

Link's heart skipped a beat. Everyone prepared to battle.

Ashanti cleared her face of her fake attitude and weilded her staff. She ran over to Jayko, who was sprung upon Haru's shoulder. "I'll take care of him, go fight." Ashanti said.

"Alright then." Haru walked forward closer to the charging soldiers.

Ashanti released magic around her hand and placed it on Jayko's chest. "Healing Touch!" The healing magic circulated through Jayko's body, restoring his energy. Ashanti dragged him over to a tree and waited for him to wake up. While she was at it she casted Slowga on 2 of the soldiers. She rested next to Jayko while her magic would restore.
