Okay, so this will sound a lot like ranting... and maybe make me look like a party pooper.

People who have threads with shadows are getting a lot of posts just guessing what the fakemon is without it really getting critted until about three pages later. All it seems to be doing is encouraging spam.

Same with the new, 'guess what monsters were fused' threads; all it seems to do is encourage spam.

I'm not saying I'm free from posting in these, I'm just sayin'...

I think there should be a rule against it...

I do understand what you mean but the thing is what kind of rule do want to be enforced?
Do you want a rule banning any use of the shadows or guess what was mixed threads?
Do you want a rule to say it can only go on for a certain number of posts?
you have to be a little more specific, but I do understand where you're coming from, they have been a nuisance lately.

normally, you post the sprite after less than 8 posts of guessing, at least that's what i've seen... but that also means those 8 posts aren't as plain as pearl's example...

people should try not to make this, specially with the mixing ones, that's stupid since half of the time it's either obvious or irrelevfant to anything.

but shadows have an advantage: if you sprite a dog, and the shadow doesn't look like one, you may have a problem with basic shaping and anatomy... >.>;

Well, maybe not a 'rule', but maybe a mod intervention to tell them to just say what's fused or say what the shadow is.

i have to agree to, its really annoying getting your topic pushed back by guesses, although itis fun to contribut :p

How about a general shadow topic? Where you can show your shadow, people can guess and when you think they've guessed enough, you should make your own topic, with the normal sprite.
