Title: OK, please explain something to me.

CLoverzilla - July 3, 2008 06:03 PM (GMT)
It says that I have zero posts when I have 27, and I can't look at the fakedex anymore. Can someone help me?

castiboy - July 3, 2008 06:11 PM (GMT)
i dont like when people get their post count hyper high in a short lapse of time by bumping and spamming every and any topic.

Please explain to me what spam is. I don't know and everyone says I am spamming and I have no clue what it is! Please help! D: I keep on being yelled at for something I don't even know the meaning of. Next thing you know I'll be banned. I want to make friends here, not make enemies!

You're spamming when you're posting a link of another forum or a site that isn't an affiliate. Usually (noob) users spams their forum for increasing the number of visits in that forum, and that's illegal.

???

Spamming is when you post something that is completely irrelevant to the topic, unless it is in the Spam Forum. For example, if you went into a sprite topic where the topic starter was asking for criticism on their sprite, and you posted "hi i'm bob," that would be spam. Read the rules in the forums and they will tell you what you should and should not post.

Stupid.
Pointless.
Annoying.
Message.

SPAM.

As Pearled said, it comes down to a post that does not contribute to a thread at all.

Posting links of other forums is also called spam, but now I think that cloverzilla meant your definition of spam...

spam is just an acronym.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(electronic)

there, now go read the rules and if there's anything you don't understand, use google or wikipedia. you have to search for information if you want to know something, don't expect everyone to be ready to explain you it all, we can guide you, but each of us has his/her own things to do.
the internet is there for you to use it.

OK. I now know what spam is... but I don't see how I was spamming. I'm starting to feel like I'm not wanted... D:

Okay now, don't exaggerate either. It's not that we don't want you here. But we want you to understand and follow the rules so you won't break them again.

You're spamming because all you're saying in your bumps/posts is "that's cool!" or some short similar comment.

Besides the fact that it may be irrelevant to the topic it'd be better if you were more elaborate in your posts too.

Your first post in this topic is an example of spam.

First of all, there is a topic explaining how to crit and post in a sprite topic. Explain why you "didn't think so" in your post.

And are you sure you read the rules like you stated?

In that post, you also abused smilies, when in the Official Rules topic it says;

"10. Do not abuse chat writing or emotes."

Then in your second sentence, you say "But guess who's back." Which has nothing to do with the sprite topic.

It's not the matter of whether we hate you or not, we just all expect the rules to be followed :/
