An image of the first 2006 Bionicle Playset, presumably the Piraka Stronghold, has been found featured on a 2006 calendar.

Hey nice, it looks like the minibionicles can move now. Might be reason enough to buy a set like this.

By the way, I like the green grape things. biggrin.gif

This looks awesome. I know, I've been down on Bionicle in my posts, yet I say this looks awesome from a castle standpoint. I downloaded the picture and highlighted my favorite things in red.

Here's the edited picture:

A. Wheels. What a great advertisement to buy this set! I would buy it for the wheels if I could.

B. Chain. Its alway great to have these around, especially in this color.

C. A gate! These things are awesome for a village.

D. Viking horns/teeth. Always great to have these things around.

SO there you have it. Thats my opinion. Like I say many times to my friends, I don't play LEGO, I build LEGO, and when I look at a set, I look at its pieces.

Looking back at this set, it looks really cool! If those weapons all fit in minifigs hands we could be in for some wicked new knights! Also, this set looks really fun! I probably won't buy it unless it goes on sale, but there is some promising pieces in there, and the chariot is aces!

Evil grinning guys= Trolls
Good serious looking guys with big heads= Aliens?

Thats what I think I will use them for... The weapons look wierd though- not as useful as last year's.

What can I say, almost any LEGO piece can be used for anything if you're creative enough.

No idea why I just said that...

Whoa! In pic 5 there are really awesome base plates! It reminds me of megablocks, but they're still cool!

Thanks for the new pics Jacob! smile.gif

Actually, I doubt those will be in the sets- they are not on the boxes and neither in the calendar. ohmy.gif

No problemo. I can get some other pictures up, if you like.

Well, Playsets are good, but I like getting the regular guys because it has more play compatibility. You can play with everyone (the Nuva come to mind), when with the minis, you can't play with that many guys. But, I still might get one or two of them.

I know, I know, but I have to say something here. These sets are a disgrace to Lego. I mean come on! I see huge chunks of plastic there, nothing more. There is no single reason for me to buy those. The baseplates are useless in my opinion so are the mini bio. minifigs. Lego should stop doing system Bionicle and continue with the technic like ones.
