Full name: Pachamama Apocatequil

Alias: Pascha

Age: several thousands of years, but hasn’t aged past her prime

Gender: female

Garlanger? Nope

Preferred mantel (pick three): black caiman

Appearance et Persona: Tall for a woman (around 6’2”) with actually pewter flesh – it is luminous, metallic even, and contains contrasting veins as if she were composed of liquid metal. Her ears, like all sidhe, are slightly pointed, and framed by cascades of ruby-colored, black-threaded hair which, when un-bound, falls to her knees. However, it is typically corn-rowed and done-up on the back of her head, like so many medusian snakes. It, like her skin, possesses a twinkling kind of luster.. Sidhe’s eyes are often tri-colored or “swirled”; Pascha’s reflect the latter tradition and are a variegated garnet-red and silver – one could perhaps consider them marbleized. Her lips are naturally burgundy. The woman wears almost exclusively red and black, always silk, and always full-skirted. Whether her ensemble qualifies as a “gown” or not could be hotly debated by her followers and those of a more modest persuasion.
Pascha is unmistakably beautiful, even from a mile away. Her lips are full and youthful despite her years, her eyes are piercing bright, her touch can melt a man’s heart or deliver a nasty blast of magic. Her blood is as pure as it gets, ancient and steeped in the old ways, and she is very aware of the affect her breeding can have on those of greater taint. However, she is very discriminating when it comes to inviting others to her bed – only the best will do, though “best” (being that she is Unseelie) is a term entirely up to her discretion. Although she was considered a benevolent God among her ancient Incan people, time has a funny way of souring one’s good humor, and Pascha did not cope well with the insult of being renamed (see history). Thus she is now more often found cruel and unyielding than magnanimous. Still, her personal interests and those of the Unseelie court have appeared to have become intertwined, and though it breaks her heart she is now showing some hints of restraint which she has not demonstrated in the last thousand years.
Unfortunately, that merely means she does not kill on sight.

History: According to Wikipedia:
QUOTE
In Inca mythology, Pachamama was a dragon fertility goddess who presided over planting and harvesting. She caused earthquakes.  Llamas were sacrificed to her. After conquest by Catholic Spain her image was replaced by the Virgin Mary, with whom she is identified in some parts of Chile, Bolivia and Peru.

Pascha had become quite accustomed to her position as “dragon fertility goddess” and “earthquake-causer” when the conquistadores ousted her via political takeover. To put it mildly, the encounter with the Spanish put a bitter taste in her mouth. Like most Sidhe coming from that time period, and particularly like those who had been worshipped by the mortal ilk, she fled the world of men, giving up much of her power in exchange for some privacy amidst the drivel of human nonsense. That done, she disappeared out of human thought from a time, her name relegated to myths and tourist attractions, and “enjoyed” a brief vacation.
Great changes come of unexpected alliances. Being a fairly close relation of Arianna’s (somewhat akin to human cousins, although it is hard to tell exactly where their bloodlines crossed), Pascha was the first to receive word that Arianna had gone missing, and that her court was left briefly unguided. She found this highly suspicious, but when a messenger of her dear cousin’s arrived explaining the situation (something about a groove-rediscovering hiatus and potential later return…oh, and ‘SURPRISE!’) her curiosity was piqued. It appeared that Arianna intended to leave the court to Pascha – at least temporarily. Thus does the Incan Queen arrive in Alanor, her humor improved somewhat, but who knows for how long?
