Of course.......I've never seen the anime, and only read a bit of the manga.

Fruits Basket is my favourite manga, hands down. It's really amazing. All the characters...the storyline...everything. I think it will always be my fave.

My favourite anime is Fullmetal Alchemist. It has so many plot twists and everything...amazing, hehe.

You can dislike shojo manga if you like, that's your opinion. But keep in mind that others may like it, so don't bash there interests on this forum if you don't want your interests to be bashed.

Anyways, Fruits Basket isn't my favourite, it was one that just came to mind at the time. I don't really have a favourite.

I'm to lazy to list what I've read and watched at the time, I've pretty much read every genre that I can think of... Some I like and some not so much.

To put a bit of life back into this topic (Though it's probably going to decompose afterwards), I haven't read much, if any manga, though I have watched some anime. My favorites:

1. The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.
2. Excel Saga
3. Death Note

Though I have watched more than that.

I have to say I particulary enjoyed Chrno Crusade, Suzumiya Haruhi and Death Note. X/1999 was cool too...

My tastes as far as anime and manga have changed. I no longer watch anime at all, but I read a load of manga.

My favorites, along with my favorite characters, are (this is order until after Gundam Wing):
~ Rurouni Kenshin (Sano is my favorite here)
~ One Piece (Shanks and Mihawk= serious buttkickers. I love 'em to pieces.)
~ Gundam Wing (mainly Duo)
~ Naruto (Gaara, Zabuza and Haku are my faves)
~ Bleach (I've only read the first volume, but I like Chad)
~ Dragonball (not so much Z anymore, my favorite character is Yamcha)
~ Fullmetal Alchemist (GREED. Best deadly sin to have, as far as I'm concerned. He's also my favorite Homunculus.)

If I get bored enough, I'll read yaoi. But only during extreme cases of extreme boredom, as my parents would shoot me if they knew. Or at least, until last September they would've... Now I can kind of read what I want and there's nothing they can do about it

But if anyone has any non-shoujo recommendations (because I personally can't stand it anymore), I'd love to hear them.

I don't actually watch anime any more, really. It'sd always 'maybe next time'.

Next time never comes.

Anyway, anime I've watched and liked:

Blue Dragon
Dragonball Z
Full Metal Alchemist
Naruto

I've only really read Dragon Ball manga. And one book of Samurai Deeper Kyo (volume 7). I might get the Naruto manga also, if I had some money.

I dunno if you've read it, but Bleach is good.

I haven't updated my list in FOREVER. I should probably do that now...

In order until after One Piece:

~ Bleach (Chad, Urahara and Ukitake = icon_heart.gif)
~ Rurouni Kenshin (Swords and martial artists FTW.)
~ Gundam Wing (Duo and Miliardo/Zechs FTW)
~ One Piece (Still some Shanks and Mihawk love going on here.)
~ Dragonball
~ Fullmetal Alchemist (Still some Greed love going on. I've started to like Envy, although not in the way of the rest of the guys I listed... He's just EVIL. Evil is cool.)

Hahaha I must admit I have watch parts of the ones you've listed, but I haven't really watched them in a really long time icon_xd.gif

It also requires a lot of downloading. Especially for Bleach (has it reached past 100 ep yet?) I really do want to re-watch Rurouni Kenshin.

Personally I much preferred the manga for FMA over the anime. (the story is the same for the first few volumes, but it develops into a different storyline.) But I never really watched a lot of the anime, I did watch the movie however.

I can recommend:
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan (Thanks to GN);
Great Teacher Onizuka (That's all me);
Chobits (If you're up to some perverse jokes);
Code Geass (Humongous Mecha with Mind Screw);
Lucky Star (Talking about nothing, really. It gets pretty hilarious once you start thinking with them).

I would advice to stay away from Neon Genesis Evangelion, the first few episodes are just humongous mecha, but it gets more angsty and especially a lot of mind screw about halfway through. I had to force myself through the last episodes because they were just the scary freak fantasies of a ten year old boy -_-

I personally liked Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, though it's pretty dark humor. (It's about a suicidal teacher whose class is full of dysfunctional students. Ehhh... It's better than it sounds.)
I also can recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, just like Rikko. (Think Giant Mechas. Wrong, you're not thinking Giant enough.)
And if you enjoyed Lucky Star, you might enjoy Azumanga Daioh.
And if you like action, try the Read or Die OVA (I haven't watched the TV series yet, so can't judge about that.) Brilliant fights with paper planes, dollar bills and business cards.

Personally I didn't like Chobits that much. I didn't hate it, it was just average.

I think my favorite series is still The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, followed by Death Note and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
