Skinning Collage: February/march 2009, Robodog

Welcome to the 2nd installment of the Skinning Collage game!

For this edition, we will skinning a wolf...only our goal is to make it into a RoboDog!

Thanks to ShenTirag for this fun idea!

To participate, simply respond to this thread to let me know you wish to play.

Depending on how many people are interested, I will divide up the wolf skin file into that many parts, and then send each participant ONE section of the skin, including instructions. I'll send this in jpeg form (just a standard picture format that all computers can open), so you don't even need to know how to really skin the "real way" to play. After you are done with your portion, send it back to me, and when I've received all of the pieces back, I'll put them all together. The RoboDog will then be coded, and then made available for download to use in your zoo!

Registration will be open for one week from tomorrow unless we get too many or too little response in which case we may close it early or extend it a bit longer.

You will have 10 days from receipt of your piece to send it back to me completed.

Rules for Every Game
- Do NOT tell other players what portion you have, or ask others what portion they go. That spoils the fun!
- Don't let us know what you are planning! We want to see how this turns out without any communications between players about it

- Don't email me or PM me asking for specific parts. I do it completely randomly.

It's a skinning collage, not a modelling contest. It's a fun, easy to access activity for as many people as possible who don't need to worry about the other aspects of coding.

Plus, if the model was edited, then everyone would have to skin to compensate for it, and that's not really the point of the challenge.

At this point we do not intend to do any meshing. This is a "just for fun" typ game so we don't want to go too indepth.
