The Rules

Welcome to the Zoo Tycoon 2 Designing Center. Please take a few moments to read through the rules. Failure to abide by the rules will result in punishment equal to the severity of the infraction. This can include warnings, suspensions, mod preview, and in some cases being banned. Know that this site is for Zoo Tycoon 2 only and no other games.

1. Terms of Service.
These are the most basic rules that come with the web site. It is imperative that you follow these at all times. Failure to do so will result in an immediate warning, or in the extreme situations banning.
2. Images
Images can be hosted in a variety of ways. You can use imageshack, photobucket or similar sites to do so. You can also use the attach a file button when posting. Please do not post pictures that are so large that they make the forum scroll. Please instead post a link to the picture.
3. Signatures and Avatars
Many of the same rules for posting hold true in signatures and avatars. You may not post any rude or offensive content in either of these forms. Depending on the severity of the infraction punishment will be determined. Images in signatures are now in signatures as long as the total height of the ENTIRE signature is not taller than 10 lines and as long as it is not wide enough to make the forum scroll.

4. General Posting Rules

The posting rules are fairly straightforward. Please do not post offensive, distrustful or rude content. This is a family forum and we want to keep everyone happy. This means that we ask you to not use bad language, avoid disrespectful comments towards other members, and not start arguments. Please do not put someone’s project down or tell them that something they worked on is stupid or bad. You may offer constructive advice and tips for improvement, but the aim of this forum is to help people with their designing skills, so keep everything positive.

Offensive and rude content includes arguments about designing ability, harassing designers, arguments from other ZT2 fansites that spread onto this forum, and arguing with moderators and admins. These rules include posts on the forums AND use of the Private Messaging (PM) system.

You may also not double post. Instead use the “Edit” button to add new content to the first post. If more than a few hours have passed you may post again, but please restrict this to new content, rather than simply "bumping" the topic. Remember, we have many members from different timezones and schedules, which means that sometimes people will not respond as quickly as you like. Please be patient and remember that we try to help everyone we can.

You may also not post off topic. Our site is specifically made for topics about designing. If you have an off topic question please do not post it at our forum. You can use the PM system to ask a question, or use one of the many other ZT2 fan sites.

Please avoid using "chatspeak" as it is harder for people to understand and read when not in a chat room.

If you have a problem with a member of the forums, please do not start arguments in threads. Please Private Message a member of staff (Moderator or Admin) and they will deal with the issue privately. Arguments between members lead to rude content, derailing threads into off-topic discussion, and spamming the board. Please bear in mind that the ZT2 Designing Centre is independent from other ZT2 Fansites, and we do not mod preview, warn or ban members here based on their actions at other forums.

Finally, do not spam the board. This means posting the same thing many times, posting irrelevant things in topics, or general abuse of posting privileges.

Breaking any of these rules may result in a mod preview, warnings, or being banned from the forum.

Ads and links
Our site is not one meant for ads and links that spam the board. You may include a link to a site in your signature, or in your homepage area in you personal settings. Any links to inappropriate content will be removed.
Age
Members here must be 13 or above. Any member under this age will have to have their parents submit an email to an administrator saying that they are allowed on the forum. If a member fails to do this, they will be banned.
