RINA
A multi-colored wolfess lie in green grass, summer sun beating down on her brown, white, golden, silver and black fur. Yellow eyes stared into the water before her. The female slid a paw into the shallow water, disrupting its smooth surface. A smile slid across her face. The place was quite peaceful in summer, the streams just trickling on confidently. Black painted lips dipped into the water and the female took a drink of the cool blue stuff that kept everything alive and well.
Rina was only two years old and was new to Yamamori. She was a beautiful girl really and she enjoyed lying by the water and sipping it every minute or two, all by herself. She did not know all of the wolves in Yamamori just yet, but she knew she would eventually. Well, only if they tried to talk to her would she really get to know them. But Rina usually liked the others to approach her first and then she would talk.
The sun went behind a cloud and Rina looked up as the world around her was bathed in shadows. A chuckle slid from her maw, fascinated by how this planet did its things in unusual ways.
Brown and white, ticked with silver hides, raised into a sitting position. Now she was feeling talkative and wanted someone to come by the couples of streams and let Rina catch their eye's. So she waited and swiveled her ears to every sound that came the wolf's way. Yellow eyes darting around, to the water and into the grasses...

| Their words rang in his head. Over and over and over again. "You were not well..", "You were borderline rabid..", "You just changed into some kind of maniac..", "You're lucky to be alive.." This wasn't right. Something was not right but he didn't know how to fix it because he wasn't sure exactly what it was. It was deeper than just a wound on his leg or on the side of his face. Much deeper. It was located somewhere he couldn't find, somewhere he couldn't just slap herbs onto and rest for a while. Much worse. Much more devastating. It was scary to hear that you'd nearly gone rabid, or at least some kind of manic. Yokushin didn't think he had rabies. He hadn't encountered anyone or anything knowingly possessing the disease, so he couldn't figure out how he would have picked it up himself. Also, he didn't feel rabid right now. Felt..bad because of the news that had been suddenly dumped onto him and the general few days of feeling at a loss, but that wasn't what he thought rabies felt like. He had always pictured it as an awful disease that didn't just come and go in waves like his apparently did. Maybe he had gotten into another disease that had created this problem for him, but the tawny male knew nothing that could cause such a thing. With heavy, sloppy paw steps he drug himself towards the waters ahead. Maybe a nice cool drink would make him feel a little better, at least it would help his dry, parched throat if nothing else. Then again, that really was the last of his worries lately. He could smell the water, as well as another wolf, specifically one he didn't recognize. This prompted a quick second of hesitation from the heir, but he opted to use this to the best advantage he could. "Excuse me, do I look rabid?" he asked tiredly as he walked closer to the female. He maintained a distance considering that he realized the odd and potentially frightening nature of his question. By asking a complete stranger his question, he was hoping to obtain a raw answer without any biases. He didn't care if this female would forever think of him as a complete and total weirdo, Yokushin had already done a good job of ruining his relationships with everyone else...

haaaai, :3! | Yokushin studied her carefully as he awaited an answer. He could feel the now familiar sting of the cuts on his cheek, which were healing but apparently his apprehension and scattered thoughts made him a little more aware of them. At first, she seemed a little confused by his question, but he didn't say anything and just waited. When she informed him that no, he did not look rabid, he did have to say that he felt a little better about himself but a far cry from entirely settled. The tawny male offered a small nod to her to show that he accepted her answer. "Yes, I am." he answered, golden eyes trained carefully on her, a little surprised that she knew him so easily. But then again, he supposed that even with all his recent personal drama, he was still the heir and it was worthwhile for pack wolves to know him...generally. As of right now, he kind of secretly wished that no one knew him so that he could try to get his problems sorted out and not risk harming anyone he cared about. "I didn't think I had rabies either, but I asked because I had some others tell me that I acted almost rabid the other day." he said quietly, almost a little sheepish to be admitting such a thing to a relative stranger. "I don't remember it, but I got all these cuts from then and my sister is missing. I'm just trying to piece stuff back together." he went on to say, turning his wounded shoulder and side of his face towards her. They were mostly healed, but still visible nonetheless.

*fuzzles Rina; shoves Yoku under a rug* AND NOWAI, I saw NO epic fail! | Yokushin was actually beginning to feel more and more worried about Aiyoku's apparent disappearance. Sure, he hated her for being such an epic slut but couldn't help but fret considering that he couldn't find her scent anywhere. Usually finding Aiyoku was a little difficult since she really had nothing specific that she did, that he was aware of at least, but this was way different. He also wasn't sure who to talk to about this because Aiyoku was shunned by most of the pack anyway. If anything, they would be glad she was gone.
"They're mostly healed, I think." he remarked gently as she offered her help after telling him her name. He made a point to remember it. "A pack member showed me how to apply herbs and stuff to them." he added, remembering Nahani's help which he had put to good use in the last few days. He was surprised by her offer for help so easily, but would never turn down such a thing. So far he was enjoying her company, how it was peaceful and pleasant, not stressful and worrisome like some others could be. When she asked how they had happened, however, his mind hit that brick wall he had accompanied himself with. The simple fact of not knowing. "I really have no idea. Somehow a whole evening of events were wiped from my memory. I woke up bloody and reeking of a lot of terrible things..." he said while slicking his ears back. "I just don't know what happened or how to find out what happened. It's scary." he admitted, voice sinking as he spoke..

Oh poo, *lovingly spacks* This however, is a little lacking, I DROVE UP THE STATE TODAY WITH AN ANTSY DOG IN THE CAR, I HAZ TIREDZ. D:!! | Yokushin managed to offer a little laugh. If he hadn't been existing with his head so far up his ass, he probably would have found the honest humor in it because he had actually behaved a lot like a drunk college idiot on his night of rampage. But, Yokushin was a scary drunk if anything, the bad kind and he wasn't bad just because he'd barf all over your furniture after a night of shenanigans, he was downright dangerous. "Yeah, actually.." he said awkwardly just before also moving towards the water to enjoy a quick drink. He lowered his head slowly and took a long, cool drink. It felt nice, pleasantly refreshing on his tongue and throat. "I've always thought it was nice here, even when I was really little." he commented offhandedly with an idle flicker of his tail. It was, after all, part of the reason why he had hoped to come here because it was peaceful. That and the fact that a drink had sounded wonderful...

buh no worries, my weekend was a big fat AKJFSDLKFJLSKDFSD of crap so I'm finally getting back into stuff. Also I spent most of yesterday battling a big ugly code on another site so BLEK. | A small smile flitted onto his lips, feeling pretty content now. It was an oddly foreign content though because he hadn't experienced such a feeling in what now felt like eons. Well, maybe he had been "content" while he had been out of his mind but who was he to know? "Yeah, it is really nice." he commented with a quick wag of his tail as he watched Rina as she entered the water. She soon invited him into the water, and at first he was hesitant, but after a quick moment of consideration he stepped forward to ease himself into the current. It took him a bit to get acclimated to the water's temperature, but due to the summer's warmth it wasn't cold or anything so it didn't take much. The water moving against his legs did feel nice, gently rubbing the nagging soreness that had persisted in them for what seemed like days. "I haven't been swimming in a loooong time." he realized almost suddenly and looked to Rina with tired golden eyes that were gradually warming up the more he opened up. With a quick little grin, he lifted one of his paws up and smacked it back onto the surface of the water, aiming to send a gentle little splash Rina's way. It was his grossly awkward attempt at play | table by zina

| Yokushin smiled, watching his splash head for her and eventually onto her. His only concern had been her being offended by his attempt at play, but those worries were quickly set aside. He wagged his tail some more and tried to evade the wave she sent back at him, but there was nowhere to go! The tawny male ended up wet, but only physically. This was actually the driest his generally soggy spirits had been lately, which was really strange to him but he did have to admit that it felt good to not be moping in a big puddle of his self-induced angst. As she took off with a holler and a yell, Yokushin tilted his head to the side and watched her momentarily. He wondered what she was doing and eventually casually followed after her, still curious. When she howled though, a soft note specifically for him, he was prompted to follow a little faster. After a few hesitant strides, he eventually opened himself up to a big, awkward lope through the water until he neared her more. He still had no idea what she was planning, but barked lowly at her, realizing that he was quite wet but still not unhappy. He paused briefly to watch her, but soon threw his paws back into action in hopes of closing the gap between them. | table by zina

| He watched her with a playful glint in his eyes, one that had been missing in action for so long. Even as a puppy he had been somewhat reserved in his play, much more inclined to be hovering around Toorima's heels than romping. That and he only had one sibling to grow up with whereas he had been born with four others aside from himself combined with the fact that he and Aiyoku had been raised in near secrecy for their safety. How however, he was seemingly uncovering that lost part of him, although he really wasn't sure why.. Issuing a low play growl, he tried to splash around as much as he could, really aiming to send as much of that water as he could at Rina. As she dunked into the water, rolling like she did, he watched her eagerly with his tail wagging soggily behind him. Yokushin didn't opt to roll himself, but hunkered his body low down into the water so that he could keep his topline above the water but not much else. He play growled at her once more and stayed low in the closest thing to a catlike pounce that he could manage in the water, then sprung forward at her in a wave of water and Yokushin paws. | table by zina

(November)
We are now nearing the end of what has been a chill Autumn season. Things continue to cool down considerably and we are now starting to see the first signs of snow, ice, wind, and bitter cold in the northern areas. Many days are cast with grey skies, but occasionally we still have some sunshine. This sun is not like to last for long, and it is still terribly cold even when it is shining brightly. So far the human issues to the West have calmed down somewhat but probably only because of the colder weather. Meanwhile, life in Yamamori continues, though perhaps something sinister is in the works.
Temperatures for the month will remain from 30-50 degrees with a 70% chance of rain, snow in the northern areas. Storms are likely and will include violent wind, heavy downpours, sleet, and possibly snow.
The litter of puppies is now seven months old. They have a good hold on language even though they're still learning somewhat. They have lost all of their baby teeth and can now practice hunting skills, but they will have to wait until they are eight months old to participate in pack hunts. They can only capture smaller animals for now and need to be taught to improve.
